Also, out of curiosity, but do you have a link to any recent official character popularity poll? The only one I could find was from 2014, and the vote numbers were to insignificant to take seriously (Rem was first with a whopping 18 votes). And I'm just pointing out that nothing like that is happening. People are talking about Betty and Subaru backstories because that is literally what the anime is teasing and dealing with right now. It has nothing to do with lack of interesting Emilia's because show hasn't brought up. He's conflating two things that have nothing to do with eachother. Frozen Bonds OVA which dealt part of her backstory was very well received in the west and Japan and outsold the first ova theatrical screening. So the idea the no cares in Emilia's past makes no sense. Besides barely anyone is talking about Betty in this thread to being with, naturally because she is not even the episode at all and that's point. The audience is discussing on what is actually happening in the episode not what isn't. Nobody is talking about Garf, Otto & Roswaal's backstories either for a reason Here is a poll based on the anime although its first OVA so its from 2018. Its the most major anime poll I can find right now. |

| I haven't read the light novel but I know who Garfiel is because I read some spoilers. I'm so happy to see him in the series but most of all, I'm so happy to see RAM! In my opinion, she's criminally underrated as a character. I'm glad she's here to say "Barusu" all the time to ease my tumultuous heart. I'm loving Garfiel's VA, Okamoto Nobuhiko is perfect for him. He does characters like Garfiel really well such as Bakugou Katsuki, Okumura Rin, etc. Now we will see a bit of Subaru's past. I'm excited for the next episode :D |

| Oh wow, so Echidna was the first witch of the Archbishops, and there was another witch with their representation. Betelguise and, that witch of glutony i've seen before were their successor afterall via the witch factor their previous witch transferred. Interesting explanations, finally progressed a lot with what happened on these world. On the other note, its entertaining knewing Echidna's personality and her funny behaviour while having a conversation with Subaru. Unfortunately, she had a dark past relating with the incident happened on a previous era, with the witch of envy raged. The reason of Rosswall by letting Emillia on his guard might be revealed as the impact of their family and the relations with Echidna. So far, yeah, just only that. Lets see their test over the holy place of Echidna. The only way to get out of that place. Lol. The place rather called a prison instead of a holy place. What was my first impression with the test? A gloomy period for Subaru in his first world. I mean, the real world, or whatever the fuck the name was. What an interesting test he had there, actually. Its really suited him as the successor of sloth representation, and the prideness, i believed. Thats it! |

If Echidna is the "Witch of Greed", does that mean there are 6 other witches (each representing one of the seven sins of man)? Echidna mentioned about the "Witch of Envy" being a "Witch Killer". Does that mean "Satella" is already dead? Also, which "Sin" does "Satella" represent? Lots of questions surfacing in my mind at towards end of this episode. |

Not like the first 3 episodes of s1 that introduced the thrilling part right away even in its first episode. So far in that first 3, the real deal was only Rem condition revealed. Its not even the real deal cause Rem was not really died at all. But, yeah, its understandable if you feel like that. The interesting part was not even introduced, i believe. |

| So after 28 episodes, we're finally getting a glimpse into Subaru's actual life outside of the isekai world. Sounds fascinating. That Garfiel dood seems pretty cool, he has that edgy thing going for him that's for sure. Echidna on the other hand gives off this very lewd vibe I can say tho this is the episode that's got me hooked on the season. We got introduced to a great new premise, some really fun characters, and even that classic mystery we had in season 1. Definitely excited to see what goes on in the next ep... |

| This episode was a bit of a filler, althought it was cool to see some action against garfield and all that. I think that the plot went a bit stagnant and we were hoping more things revealed. |

| As many have said already, Echidna is a 10/10 waifu. Love them bushy eyelashes. And holy shit. Subaru's dad is a total Chad. Was not expecting that. Funny stuff. I'm looking forward to getting a glimpse of Subaru's past now, even if it's just a trial. |
| The Witch of Greed is cute and hilarious at the same time lol. Her conversation with Subaru was very interesting. So, Garfiel, who i'm assuming is Fredricas brother, makes his introduction. Kinda violet personality lol. My favourite part was Emilia's speech, it makes sense to her personality and I like that. |

Plus if there's a Witch of Envy and Petelgeuse is a Sloth Sin Archbishop, we can accurately assume that the 7 deadly sins are a deeply involved with this story and just as there should be other sin archbishops there should also be witches of other sins. |

| It was more than obvious that Subaru had to come inside that portal, now it all makes sense (i mean this part ofc xD), he will definitely see the witch again. Emilia's attitude has been fantastic in this season, we are getting some great character development. It feels kinda bad knowing that he forgot that moment where he met Echidna. The next episode will be about Subaru's past? wow! Finally |

| wowowo what the WHAT. Damn these past few episodes have felt like absolute info drops on us i swear ok ok. Yeh i 100% think if i had a choice to alliance myself with any of the witch's, it would probably be the Echidna fan club witch of greed hands down. Echidna's chat was definitely border line scary and border line cute as shit, one thing that interested me was her stating that after Subaru killed Petelgeuse this "witch factor" chose him as a new dwelling? Does this mean he now has a connection with the witch of sloth and is also a member of her fan club? Either way, very pleased we managed to get an insight into some of the other witch's when you know... they were still alive. All interesting figures with some pretty interesting descriptions to why they earned there title, but Echidna herself, good lord are witch's all this cute in this universe? She probably has some of the cutest reactions i've ever seen, lmao Subaru the absolute man of pure testosterone i swear can make even a witch fall for him if he wanted. Really wish there convo lasted longer tho, i mean a hug would also be in due, taken she's been dead for century and hasn't talked to anyone in a while, i'm sure a hug wouldn't hurt. Also gibe me so that fucking tea please and thanks So Sanctuary is actually Echidna's grave but also a village for half blooded species? Interesting, i take back what i said about Roswaal, fair play on his half i respect that. But let me get this straight, so in exchange for safety, the half bloods literally took all the humans hostage and want someone to do the trial to break the barrier? Damn, shitty move but sure i get that. Emilia also seems to be developing a lot as a character which i love to see, i like her character but her development seems slow. Last scene had me hyped, with the music playing and Subaru charging in after something went wrong, i'm guessing the only reason the trial acknowledged him even though he isn't half blooded is because of Echidna's bodily fluids tea? Either way, next episode has me hyped, i can tell a massive lore bomb on Subaru is about to be dropped and is gonna make me like him even more, but honestly about time lmao |

If u say he can't trust her because she's a witch, then why did he believe she's a witch in the first place. If u say he can meet her again (it's true), but again, there's no guarantee, the first time he met her he think he can meet her again (unrasional) what if he can't meet her again? | An invitation to Echidna's tea party of splendor! Right off the bat, I love her design.The dark dress looks very majestic and enchanting on her. She has a beautiful butterfly hairpin. Most likely her signature look. Out of all the witches, she seems the most nonchalant and normal. That is awesome! Her interaction with Subaru is wholesome yet insightful.They got great chemistry. "This is something that is produced here. To put it bluntly, it's a body fluid of mine."- Echidna Hilarious quote. Can't wait to see more of her. |
