| Protag > failed to talk back against snide remarks from ex-gf said with obvious purpose to humiliate him among a bunch of people, and resulted in disappointing the girl who's covering for him Also the same ex-gf > "I had no idea you had such a manly side to you." Me:  Either the definition of "manly" I know is completely wrong or the protag and the ex-gf don't know what they're talking about. Still enjoying the show tho. But as far as I can tell, Mizuhara is carrying the show hard. |

Hes about 20 and his first girlfriend was someone with a fake personality, he has never seen her manipulative side until after she broke up with him but it seems she still wants him or at least to toy with him. He is attached to the only girlfriend hes ever had (or at least the false cheery personality part of her). Before seeing that manipulative side you could see he still wants Mami back and Ichinose isnt even his real girlfriend. Cant see why you dislike this so much, its better than the MC from school days or Domestic Girlfriend. You just spoiled me the personality of the girl. Thanks, manga reader. I dislike the MC because he's constantly paying money to a girl that she obviously likes because she's pretty, and he's not even getting sex for it. I know the whole premise of the show is about this, but it just doesn't work with me. Furthermore, he's still attached to her ex while spending money on a girl he's interested about. I fail to see the logic of the protag at all. |

| @carsanlop Don't get your hope up for the anime. You're probably not find it in the anime since it only have 12ish eps. The manga is current on its climax arc and the mc is showing some character development. I say most of the manga readers here watch this series for their favorite girl like Chizuru or that one other girl <.< being bought into life with voice acting. |

| i love the op so much and ofc it's done by peggies. the ed felt really familiar then i remembered the melody/start of it sounded like zzz (nichijou's ed 1). i usually don't enjoy these type of stuff but why is it getting better the more i watch? lmao chizuru and mami's seiyuus do a really good job presenting their characters. i wonder why mami got defensive to her friends about kazuya but said all those stuff at the restaurant. starting to really dislike kazuya but that's how it is with every anime like this. his grandma is so cute though. |

He has a lot of room for character development and I'm in for it. you are right he feels natural a natural creep i couldnt care less about his development the show didnt gave me a single reason why i should a mc should be someone we should be either able to identify with or aspire to be. he is neither of those that way we wont have any connection with him whatsoever i didnt feel a single thing when mami was insulting him it was more of a "hmm what a looser he dserves it" that also makes the female mc look like an idiot for defending a disgusting creature like him terrible mc the people who do identify with him should actually get mental help and dont waste their time watching anime they have bigger issues to solve "a mc should be someone we should be either able to identify with or aspire to be. " That's your own taste, your own opinion. Why do I have to identify with an MC when this isn't even a slice-of-life? Why would I aspire to be a fictional character when I'm already satisfied with who I am? What's that have anything to be with a mere hobby of watching anime. It's not that deep. I certainly don't aspire to be a serial killer but I like Light. Should I hate him as well? If all you seek for in a nice MC are those 2 traits your taste is quite shallow. Plus why are you being triggered by a single comment, mate? Buzz off. |

It hard to say. But if you're one of those who read Nisekoi/BokuBen/5Toubun/OreSuki and like waifu shipping, it definitely manga for you. If it's not, then I suggest you avoid it. Even for the manga, the series I mentioned above is much better than this. People who read this are probably the people who ran out of romcom titles to read. |

| The premises of the first episode are confirmed, very funny episode, Mami can give a further shock to the situation, the protagonist is clumsy at the right point, but I hope he has an improvement in the course of history. I hope the show continue like this, among the new releases it's definitely the one that like me the most. |

| Hell, what an horrible attitude from Mami. You can break up with someone but shaming that person in front of a friendly crowd... what's the point ? Humiliating your ex doesn't make you a good person, I was honestly happy to see Chizuru taking Kazuya's defense, even if he didn't join her in that move. I thought their relation might evolve as a love/romance rivalry but I don't believe it right now. Wait & see I guess, but I already chose my side ! |

| This uses a load of forced character settings to keep the premise going which is cringey to watch but between them I can see nice characters and some quality scenes. If this grows off those unnatural elements this could get good, if it doesn't I'm probably dropping midway. |

| I love the OP song. As expected from the same band who sang "Kimi no Sei". Chizuru definitely best girl so far, for having to put up with all of Kazuya's shit. Kazuya is truly spineless, lol. |

| This anime has been trash imo so far, and it’s all bc of the stupid trash-bag that is Kazuya. I can understand if he was just shy or a bit of a wimp like some mcs, but he’s got no redeeming quality whatsoever. If there was even a generic mc that had a bit of a spine this could’ve been enjoyable, but this just might become my first dropped anime in a long time because of him. |

| I mean all the girls from this show are hella fine af xD BUT A story that will revolve around over simping girls is a big meh for me as a person who loves romcom animes. Especially the mc ultra simping to his ex because shes just pretty and has a hot body (thighs) lol.Maybe in upcoming eps he will change idk well see though. Its just ep 2 and early to judge this anime i did enjoyed it but too much focus on simping girls. On the side note i love the OP and ED song and that OP is one of the best this season. |

| In konosuba, aqua always giving troubles to kazuma.. But now, in kanokari, kazuma is the one who always giving the troubles to aqua.. Really, i cant to not relate this series to konosuba (lol) In a certain scene, kazuya friends (kibe & shun) implying that ichinose inviting kazuya to follow her cult (reference to axis cult in konosuba), that scene make me laugh a bit.. But well, beside that, too many scene that painful to watch, like in kazuya's grandma scene, solo act performed by kazuya (lol), and especially that scene when mami badmouthing kazuya and kazuya didn't response (in positive way) to ichinose's denial... F man... Now, i can understand to those who want to drop this series cuz the MC is unreliable... But for me, i want to see em animated till the end... |

| MC tilted me in manga. seeing him in anime tilts me even more. Near the end of the opening where there are arrows and he's running around in circle. Well he really is just running around in circle if you know what I mean haha....still entertaining to watch at least. |

| Two episodes in and I now understand why everyone hates Kazuya. Dude just let his ex run her mouth on him. Even when Chizuru stood up for him he still took Mami's side. How garbage dude. Usually I dislike characters like Chizuru but I am really starting to enjoy her a lot. She takes her job serious which is a good thing but she still does things to make people happy even at the risk of her job. She looked so hot just coming over to Kazuyas place just to bring food. Holy crap I just loved her clothes and style. |

| Welp, as if loser of a "boyfriend" protagonist Kazuya has forgotten Chizuru, this will have more antics and shenanigans, and I hate to say this, but TMS Entertainment is doing a heck of a good job adapting this trash manga. Massive fan of the peggies, and this OP is no exception, batshit good and funky. Fool me once, a dating app, and now, fool me twice, living side-by-side? The young adults' grandmothers sure are very, VERY lively and playing into the girlfriend game...to Chizuru's chagrin. Unfortunately, this game of lies will have to go on... As for ex-girlfriend and feeling manipulator Mami, she sure was a disaster in his life before, and now into college as well (being nothing more than fap material). Man, I'd love Kazuya's friends for giving him ACTUALLY usable advice, even at the expense of comedy. But their appointment for a mixer...including Mami in the mix, what an intense dinner confrontation. Mami sure doesn't give two flying ducks about Kazuya, but Chizuru standing up for his sorry ass truly speaks volumes about her character, amidst a wimpy feeling. As long as this girl lives, she'll only manipulate his feelings even more. Let this journey ride on... |

| cute OP! & kazuya's grandma is so funny really liking the art style & character designs, it's simple but i love the colours and i love the girls' fashion their style's so cute! kazuya tho..... right after chizuru appeared and tried to pacify his grandma at his place, he couldn't find it in himself to say thanks? he's so rude & clueless that awkward dinner scene was funny tbh they should have just made up some excuse at the start and left so they didn't have to sit through that. mami was so catty tho but she was probs just projecting since he joined them (and brought chizuru) unannounced will keep watching! characters are interesting tho MC is really unbearable at times but then again i guess there is some sort of realism to the way he is..... |

| The ending seemed to begin to justify why many people criticized the manga in this anime by the protagonist. But leaving that aside, what a wonderful anime, it's all very good, it's a show. More and more surprising me, more and more getting me instigated, more and more showing what a good director is capable of. |
