An anime that talks about racism and social inequality in a world of humans and beasts, the presentation is fabulous.
I liked its animation and the protagonist, it was a good way to start with an anime and how it presents the motivations of the characters.
Sometimes otakus are rejected by society, so I discovered that it is much better to be an
otaku in secret.
Trigger aka sons of Gainax always delivers. So much energy and oomph in this opening.
"Perhaps there is a universal, absolute truth. Perhaps it justifies every question. But that's beyond the reach of these small hands." Mamoru Oshii
There is a cult of ignorance (...) nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.” Isaac Asimov
I honestly found this one pretty boring. I'm not sure if I want to continue. I mean I'm a huge Gainax/Trigger fan (although I admittedly still need to see a lot of their works), but most hook me in at the beginning. This really felt much more contrived.
Like we start off with a roving gang trying to openly kill the raccoon girl. Really on the nose, and it doesn't make a lot of sense being that blatant about it. Then the MC runs around eating street food instead finding a place to live. It seems like there are no cops, although I see people saying they are the cops. We have the clear political corruption and an OP fight scene that I actually didn't like. Normally I love that stuff, but something about it didn't jive with me.
I feel like I already know the whole plot from this episode, and while that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just doesn't interest me enough.
I'll probably try another episode at some point, but this one was disappointing.
Tanuki girl and wolfman, the new heroes of the city have arrived! Wolfman looks pretty undefeatable with his combined strength, speed and strong sense of smell!
Looks pretty good with the men vs beastmen thing, curious to how beastmen work since the mink girl could shapeshift and raccoon girl turns out to be a former human.
Spotted some nice Inferno Cop reference on one of the big screens...before they got blown up.
Well, if there was any doubt as to Trigger loving to make their X-men references, Shirou is clearly the best there is at what he does, and what he does isn't very nice.
Furry anime seems pretty cool. Getting some Zootopia vibes. Also I see the whole racism/speciesism thing going on. Michiru seems somewhat likeable. Wolfman seems like he is kinda mary sue.
I was hoping this would be more cute than violent but this was still ok. The scene where the wolf ripped off the dude's antlers was dope. Mc seems a little too preachy though.
My prediction is this show won't be as good as Zootopia but it'll be better than beastars.
I really enjoyed this episode, it sets up what the show is about, racism and diversity etc. This show could be easily botched if not done carefully but I feel it's got a good chance to shine.
The one thing that has got me hooked is the art style, I absolutely love the use of pinks and blues the animation feels pretty smooth atleast for me. Excited to see where this goes from here
Wonderful start of the series and I'm excited to see more. The part where she was running with the old man with the sign almost hitting them was very well done and funny to watch.
Great first episode. Hope there are a lot more fight scenes like this one. Animation style is unique and it's seems like the show is going to get much more interesting. Hope things get much more dark as the story progresses. Got a feeling we're going to be in for one heck of a ride.
ton of fun. good KAWAII concept and GREAT aesthetic. feels really close to Promare in both the setting and the visuals. not quite as great a color palette as Promare but close and looks damned fine. feels like the whole plot is already pretty predictable as a Promare repeat even after just one episode but i'm okay with that in a cartoon about cute animals
I disgusting garbage anime Maybach definitely pedophilic pieces of trash only you're disgusting pedos and idiots will think this is cute or romantic trying to put a little girl with an old man this physically and every way too old for her and trying to make it romantic it does not matter if the roads were swapped and reversed it is still wrong and disgusting
