So that's why they get two DB entries each. Japan did not show the new FLCLs on TV. There is no "six episode release" in Japan. "2. And the 6 ep announcement for America, it was part of the first announcement that a sequel was even being made. Japan didn't even announce it was going to release the show at all. They only stated that they were working with American companies and the show will air in America. No different than other outsourcing productions. It was a bit of a fight here about whether or not to have the FLCL sequels in the database at all since they didn't meet the definition of anime [at the time] and were approved prematurely. Several months later there was a new announcement, this time Japan saying that they were going to release the show [which officially qualified the sequels at legitimate DB entries] and that it would be as movies. |

If a person was the chief episode director, the chief illustrator director, the chief episode animator director then yeah that seems like a pretty top-tier role to then accept the artist's doujinshi. But just a regular role? ehhh Mine Ichinose only worked at a CG ep director for 4 out of 36 total eps in the franchise. Does that mean the 37 other CG episode directors who worked on the Ganbare! Lulu Lolo franchise also get to have their doujinshi added to the database? As well as the CG episode directors of every other modern anime ever created? I'm not shitting on the entry but I genuinely need to know if this level of work qualifies someone to have their doujinshi added to the DB. Because you already know I add a whole bunch crap to the DB but the crap that I add are from people who had Director/Sole-animator-of-the-entire-frickin-anime level of professional history; none of them were "oh they did the storyboard directing for ep 16 of Boku no Hero Academia" level of professional history. Asking primarily because most long running children's anime have these one-time-use directors like Furusato Saisei, Hanakappa, Detective Conan, etc. This invites thousands of artists' doujins to the DB based on the results I'm getting from searching the role in https://www7.atwiki.jp/ |

This makes that ep a pre-air and by database definitions a Movie format entry even if we ignore Rule 2 from the my previous post.
