| Man, these past two episodes killed the mood for me, but this one even more so. Sure, the comedy was entertaining, but really? Baseball? Look, I know that Samurai Champloo is known for juxtaposing the harsh, violent reality of Edo Japan with modern elements and chaotic humor, but having Americans arrive and play baseball was a little too much for me. Sure, historically out-of-place elements such as beatboxing and graffiti have been introduced before, but they never struck me as inappropriate for the setting. In fact, SC was able to smoothly blend beatboxing and graffiti into its era, mostly due to the show's unconventional, funky style of directing. However, this episode was a little too ridiculous for me. Having obese Americans with modern baseball gear appear out of nowhere just seemed farfetched compared to the show's other modern gimmicks, and it's quite deviant towards the style the show has been building up to in recent episodes. Like I said in the previous post, I believe it would've been better to omit this episode entirely, or at least place it earlier in the series. Oh well, moving on. Can't wait to see how this show ends. |
| Amazing episode. It reminded of a certian Indian movie. I still wonder why Kagemaru was left handed. From what I know left handers in Japan are very minor. |

You know guys, sometimes things doesn't have to be meanful and full of symbolism and deep meanings, this ep was just for fun and I loved it. Samurai Champloo is a chill anime, and I definitely had a fun and chill moment watching this one, also Mugen been badass as always

| One of the stupid (in a good mean) N funniest episode on the series π I wonder, why most people concern on main story.. While it is also an another story (could be a history) american hits Japan on a certain way.. Beside culture, there is a sport.. Ofc it couldn't 100% match with the real history.. But there is the fun point is.. |

| My predictions tends to be off, but this (and the previous episode) does come off to me as a "calm before the storm". A bit of lighthearted comedy to intentionally take a break from were episode 21 left off. These last three episodes will be very story heavy methinks |

| A better episode than last, albeit I think the episodic nature of Samurai Champloo has been weaker in the second half. Would have rather had a stronger focus on the main story as the best ideas were already used early on. |

| There's been a lot of silly episodes thus far, but this was actually hilarious over the top without going full bizarre. That was a sweet spot for me in terms of comedic absurdity. |
