Wait, I understood correctly - the 26th plantation was completely destroyed, shortly thereafter, the entire 26th squad died in a suicidal attack? It was so sudden that I even missed that moment.

It's not that he's a saint. He hadn't his heart broken at all because even if he loves her, he always knew that Ichigo loved Hiro so he was happy to see that she finally acted. And then in this same episode we saw this interesting parallel with Ichigo seeing how Hiro cares about Zero Two and because of that she accepted that her first love will never happen and she was fine with seeing Hiro and Zero Two together, just like Goro was in the past episode. She grow up in that episode as a character and a person.

Wow, way to miss the point of the anime. It's like you people can't interpret what happened in there.

What an explosive episode, full of action from the beginning till the end. The action scenes were good animated. One of most tense episodes so far.

Everyone fighting and not only Squad 13 was nice to see showing how capable they are. Those Strelizias have amazing power, make sense why they are the elite. The emerge of that big monster was scary.

Hiro goes into the war zone trying to find Zero Two. Ichigo finally understood Hiro's feelings this time. The reunion of Hiro and Zero Two was the best part. Those flashbacks and the words used were really good. That transformation with the OP song was intense and gorgeous. That confession, about time!

Am I the only one who doesn't feel emotionally invested into 002 and Hiro's relationship? I don't know. Also I know it takes along time to makes these episodes and changes are impossible at this point. But, they went from Drama and separation to this episode way to quickly. It felt really forced. I don't think anyone was really developed or changed during this time. I think they missed a big opportunity to of development if 002 and Hiro spent more time apart than just 15 minutes.

Yes yes yes alll of the god damned YES!

Beautiful action this episode. Hiro and Zero Two reuniting! Goro stepping up to the plate to stop Ichigo! She still won't give up on Hiro, but maybe now she understands she should support him more than try to keep him for herself.

The fight scenes were on point. Music was pretty good to fit the mood as well.

Protocol 32.. Seems like Papa etc will go to no end to get their goal. Sacrificing both children AND plantations to obtain it!

A human... fell out of a core?! Possible that the plantations are only ONE part of humanity left on earth? Hmmm.

Sterilizia with Hiro and Zero Two being I imagine 100% perfectly combined is pretty awesome. Loving the full red ;D#

Slightly surprised this episode didnt have a tragedy of some kind. Mostly because I was expecting some serious shit to go down with Squad 13. Especially the way that they left Hiro and he was like "come back alive". But ah well.. Still 11 more episodes for some tragedy to happen from all these flags.

I have to admit, it was a beautiful chapter! EPIC! AND TOUCHING! see Hiro with Zero Two complementing each other and take the Strelizia to a new level! and with the music of the OP was fantastic!... they made me very happy! >////< πŸ’˜πŸ’˜

ALL SINS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN!!!!! xD

Good thing, I was getting tired seeing how people threw shit at Ichigo!... although the previous chapter did show the power of the Fanmade! xD hahahahaha damn it! the chapter had such a global impact that even threats came to the directors and Ichigo's Seiyu... shocking!... if I were the Director of this shit, I would be fascinated, because my series managed to awaken the public in its fury or joy around the world!...they don't believe?

And well, going back to the topic of Chapter 15 of Darling in the FranXX! What can I say ... I only saw EPIC things! EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC ... motherfucker, was epic from start to finish, I could not get up from my fucking chair, I became a stone statue, completely fixed, watching the entire chapter finish.

Beyond analyzing interpersonal relationships, the chapter responded to many things that we had no certainty, for example is already a fact that really the committee of the so-called "PAPA" do not really care to sacrifice how many lives of pistils must do to see their goals come true.

But the funniest thing about this is that this Committee does not care about sacrificing the lives of the adults within the Plantation, that's why they activated the self-destruction of the Plantation 36, but what the fuck was that? if it's supposed that they want to preserve human life of adults, but it turns out now that this is not the goal!... Except for Plantation 13, since they always protect it at the cost of the sacrifice of others, weird, it is as if they needed something from Plantation 13.

Now we know that all klaxosaur have core, but inside these core there seem to be people inside them... WTF?? What kind of Shingkei no Kyoujin is this?... This would respond to the theory that the klaxosaur are of human origin, the question is where they come from and if they are really people, where are these people?... are the rest of humanity missing that could not enter the Plantation?.

"Let's release them from the cages of their bodies" Where have I heard that before?... WHERE??

Every time the intentions of that Adults committee, called Papa, seem to be clearer... and are they more and more similar in terms of objectives or actions to what would do Seele from Evangelion?...

The Door Gran Crevasse = The Door of Guf? the day when Humanity is liberated? of what?... of their physical form? xD

Sometimes I think that the FranXX are catalysts of something ... like an awakening of humanity or a psychospiritual evolution, because it is not understood how the mechanics of a system is closely related to the psychosexual feeling of a human couple.

Also always talk about the Jian, alluding to the complement of male and female, is an Illuminati term, because it refers to the union of man and woman to create life, and also a theological vision that Catholicism, Judaism and Islam, the three great monotheistic religions of Humanity defend and support, in which men and women have different but complementary roles and responsibilities in marriage, family life , in society and finally in the creation and preservation of Life, and in this anime keep repeating that concept. The question is that perhaps Humanity can it not generate human life normally? why do adults try to recreate humanity again... or make it start from scratch, going back to nothing and so it can evolve again and start again?

The Jian, also known as The bird that shares wings... only possesses one wing. Unless a male and female pair lean on each other and act as one... they're incapable of flight. They're imperfect, incomplet creatures. But... to me...

I insist all this sounds to me very Evangelion, starting from the concept of complementarity, it is as if humans have lost the ability to be together, and even create life, because they need machines that satisfy them sexually and intuitively of happiness and human pleasures. And while it is a little away from the sexual part, alludes to the case of Evangelion, humans do not possess the ability to evolve or even to awaken their male-female complementarity. That is why they use children from cloning to recreate living beings, the pistils, which represent that complementarity of the past that humanity possessed... like an Evangelion ... but with more sexual results? xD

Finally my favorite part of the whole chapter, I love seeing the design of Strelizia in red, it looks shocking, epic and powerful! That Fembot is my favorite! >////< πŸ’•πŸ’•

And well, Bitchigo ... was once again the Ichigo that we all want. xD πŸ’™πŸ’™
Poor Ichigo, in the end if he admitted that he lost against Zero Two. The most complex thing when you love is to let the person you love go for another person πŸ’™πŸ’™ ;)

Well, it was kinda predictable that this would happen. I liked it more that 02 basically broke character and did what maybe most haters were complaining/missing about episode 14.

But, I'd say those cores were just a specialty of this plantation and whatever they experimented or did there. Probably linked to 02 and the parasites in general. At least it's a common trope that the humans are used in the evil machinery, for example in the Matrix series, the movie Skyline and in some way they did the exact thing in Blue Sub No.6

It's funny because Hringhorni in Nordic mythology is the ship of the Viking god Baldr, which was used for his funeral, after he died of Loki's deceptions, supposedly in Viking mythology several precious things were thrown on this ship in a sacrificial tone so that Baldr's life could meet the Cosmos, once his warrior spirit left the physical form and ascended with eternity.

The Committee of the Adults, floats on an aerial fortress that is... on the Earth ?, that red that we see below is what happened to the Planet Earth? ... I insist, this seems to me very Evangelion to be simple coincidence xD... THAT IS?

what was that

also pegging squad 9

edit: also, about the cores and other lore revealed in this episode. The klaxosaur have a clear mirror with the Franxx, a humanlike thing in a control center, shaped like a ball, inside a mecha. I'm guessing that there is gonna be a reveal that like most of humanity was turned into klaxosoures and the adults aren't human. I though that they seemed kinda alien or mutant like.

I don't know if its just me but I think that Evangelion inspired this show a lot. I might be overthinking but I think that there are a lot of resemblances between those two shows.

DON'T LOSE YOUR WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY - oop, wrong show.

Really intense episode that was a roller coaster of emotions. But we FINALLY got the catharsis between Hiro and Zero Two. It genuinely feels like a weight has been lifted. I really hope they don't do what they did two weeks ago where Hiro and Zero Two have a breakthrough and then they purposely put something in the way that will put it on hold for another couple weeks. Getting real sick of that pattern.

But they finally had a real talk, Hiro told her that they need to talk things out and say how they really feel. It was incredibly powerful and easily the highlight of the episode.

I do feel bad for Ichigo though, she gets a bad wrap that's for sure. But it looks like she's finally truly accepted Hiro and Zero Two's relationship. Also Goro, the bro-est of bros, the ultimate bro; I love that guy.

LOL leave it to the 9's to have the boys be fuckbois. I hated them before, but I really hate them now.

The Papa's show their true colors, willing to sacrifice whole plantations filled with people to attain their goals. They knew full well whatever monolithic monstrosity was underground would come out and play, and I have a feeling their satellite base has some kind of weapon to counter it; because the Franxx clearly don't have enough power to take that thing down.

And as I, and most other people here, suspected, Klaxxosaur's use humans in their cores. What their make-up is and how they come to be is still unknown, but humans are definitely a factor. The dark underbelly of this show is beginning to rear its head. Will the squad eventually rebel against Papa?

This week was a huge step in the right direction, that's for sure.

2)With respect to APE, we have some serious "SEELE" shit going on here. APE took a page directly from evangelion. We have lampshading of the actual purpose of klaxosaurs, implications that humans have been "digitized" or otherwise preserved. To quote APE: "Plantation 35(?) has been backed up." There's also one hell of a mythological reference here.

Hringhorni is the name of the ship belonging to the norse god Baldr. It was used as his funeral ship upon his death, which was held to signify the advent of Ragnarok, the death of the gods, and the rebirth of humanity.

Like in Evangelion, it's used to represent the state of the world; as in judaic mythos, the water has become blood, and cannot support life. It's used to show the extent to which human actions have damaged the environment. Which isn't a surprise, because many of the staffers with Trigger/A-1 who are working on this series also have experience with Evangelion.

Best as I can tell, "Cosmos" is near what would be Fukoka, Japan. That the rest of the Japanese archipalego is absent should detail the extent to which the environment, indeed the planet, has been damaged.

As for what APE is trying to turn humans into.............well, we're getting into what it means to be human, which is the broad question that the show is asking; we have the parasites who are very much alive in contrast to the adults in the plantations, who might as well be dead.

Vis a vis Baldr's ship, it would seem that APE would sacrifice the plantations and parasites if necessary to preserve whatever else of humanity is left. Except that the fact that the klaxosaurs are also human complicates things....

It was really a "meh" episode.
Was expecting a little bit more of drama and gore.
As we all knew, Hiro and 02 got back together. Boy, was that anticlimatic....I mean, why was Strelizia just chilling on top of a pile of corpses? Really convenient. Also, I don't get why Ichigo had to slap her face.

The action scenes just feel rushed and makes no sense. Somehow everything just goes well to the lucky 13 Squad, while the rest just dies. The 26 Squad sacrificed themselves like It was nothing, and the moment was pretty boring. Could've milked that moment for another episode imo. I think that this battle should've been 2 Episodes. The pacing of the show was slow, but now they wanna start rushing things. Really?

Oh well....lets see if we get some answers about WTF is going on in the next EP.

Also, red Strelizia looks bad, design wise.

Next to episodes 13 and 14, this one is kind of disappointing.

To create a sense of danger in the world they live. Sure this is a character driven anime, but I feel like if they had portrayed a dangerous world better things could've been more impactful, moreover if the plot kicks in the 16th and it tries to portray a danger world it might not feel very convincing, sure the guy from 23rd plantation died but it felt very meh.

Anyone who has any understanding of how emotions actually work, will know you can't just force yourself to stop being in love with someone, or force yourself to love a different person just because they confessed to you and happen to be very worthy (Re:Zero ep 18 Deja Vu is strong) We've already seen Goro confess to Ichigo, so let's imagine that Miku (for example) confessed to him. Does anyone think he would then instantly give up on Ichigo and accept her instead? no that's just not how it works. The love aspect of Ichigo/Hiro thing was the same thing.

Hopefully shouldn't have to address Ichigo trying to keep him away from 002 last episode although plenty of people totally missed the point of 9Alpha telling her in episode 12 that all 002's previous partners didn't just die from not being able to handle piloting with her, she intentionally consumed them - over 100 of them, and the whole "darling" thing was just an act she put on to groom her victims. Before that, when Ichigo thought 002 wasn't a danger to Hiro, she supported them. So for her to accept it again now, deny her own feelings and try once again to deal with the fact she never going to be with Hiro it would have been harsh, and it's the second time she's had to put herself through it.

Yes Goro is the most sensible, and he makes the best decisions, but a bunch of kids with no life experience can only learn from their mistakes and bad choices if they make them in the first place, especially since they've never had anyone to teach or guide them. Which is more than can be said for all the people hating on someone for not being in love with the person they want them to be in love with

Anyways, amid all the action was a lot more foreshadowing of the divide - and likely fight or flight situation coming up between the "children" and the adults. A Klaxo dropped something that looked like a human in the fetal position, the guys in charge sacrificed city adults and mentioned "releasing" them, the squad 26 guy had grey hair - nearing his expiration date? The suicide mission was no surprise since we already know children have the same value as cattle (with 002 valued as a prized pet that's been given cattle to feed on) a mention of humanity's liberation at the end, and 9 Alpha called squad 13 Humans, assuming the 9's are hybrids if the children are human, I'm not sure what that makes the city adults or Papa etc. Either ways some sort of showdown should be coming up

Why do u want that one of the main characters dies?

To create a sense of danger in the world they live. Sure this is a character driven anime, but I feel like if they had portrayed a dangerous world better things could've been more impactful, moreover if the plot kicks in the 16th and it tries to portray a danger world it might not feel very convincing, sure the guy from 23rd plantation died but it felt very meh.

Indeed. I feel the same way. The kids in squad 13 got out without a scratch, even though the APE guys used an entire plantation to explode the walls.... It feels like they can just take a walk with no worries around the battlefield.

THAT IS?

And they talk about a Gran Crevasse ... like it's a Guf gate? WAT??

It is rare that APE will want to preserve human life being that it sacrifices some Plantation, however it is not so wrong thinking that only a few humans need to be saved to restart humanity, unless the human adults of these can no longer generate human life from the conception, however, it seems that adults can not father children either, if that is the case, the pistils, would not be necessary, however it is possible to ask why not restart humanity using them, as the new Adam and Eve to regenerate humanity?... what is the problem?

Because although these children are born by cloning, they seem more human than the humans themselves, who no longer have an immune system, so they do not come out, since it seems that a sea breeze would kill them, or breathe normal air. While the pistils seem to lead normal human lives and not get sick.

I wonder why they want to turn humanity into something different from the human, and use human cloned children to protect themselves, if you want to save what is left of humanity, would not it be better, to use cloning to save the species?

The Nines that have the demon horns all ride as Pistils? even the male characters, are they all males, aside from 02?

The Horny one should go on top, that would make the sex/piloting better, no? Or is this anime forgetting about the sex innuendos it once had?

Are they made from 02?
Why are they different from her? Is it because of their gender?
They don't have horns when not piloting the Franxx, and why is hers growing so much?

How did Hiro pilot Ichigo anyway?

Best episodes of this show so far are:

1- Ep.14
2- Ep.10
3- Ep.15

PS: Hiro and 02 were definitely fucking when they transformed into that new red form, yeah they didn't forget the innuendos.

I think the older version is better looking, but this one is more edgy.

Well that separation arc was short.

Not even an episode.

I get the feeling that FranXX is ripping off Gurren Lagann so hard it might as well be what SAO is to Berserk. Bunch of fakers.

Now salty haters can finally rest since zero two & her darling finally got reunited.

I enjoyed this episode, from the action scenes to the reunion & when KISS OF DEATH was playing at the end, it surely made this ep even better!!

Ichigo seeing that Hiro's memories were mostly centered on 02 & the fact that she wished for them to be happy, she did develop as a person since she finally realized that Hiro only has eyes for 02 and thus decided to let go of her desires not to mention that chances of Goro being with her has improved.

Gobro sure is the bro of the year, someone as kind & mature as him deserves the very best!!

That being said, It's been a while since I've seen Hiro genuinely smiling, happy that he got to be with zero two again.
I couldn't help but laugh though when they went back & fourth with darling, 02, darling, 02!

+

With Hiro sharing a kiss with 02 & Strelizia turning red, It’s nice to see that she's starting to accept herself for who she is.

So many questions are raised though such as what the heck is that hand at the end, why are the nines positions reversed, why do they have horns & judging from the broken core, we can more or less confirm that Klaxosaurs are humans.

Looking forward to the next ep & Hope we get to see a rebellion arc soon.

This is what everyone else wanted, right? Well, there you go.

I still want to know what did SEELE (or the KKK old people) do to Zero Two to make her human. Grand Crevasse is just another title for Longinus Spear anyway. An evangelionesque episode, I liked it pretty much. The opening is very strong, and fit perfectly on the episode climax.

More questions arise at the end of the episode. I gotta admit... when I saw the preview, I thought Ichigo and Zero Two were going to fight it out, and not Ichigo delivering Hiro. I am still entertained.

It's really stupid how a series needs forced romance to be popular and cater to the people watching it. Other than that, the visuals were pretty good but I still need more world building, I'm hoping that now that the main romance pairing is stablished, at least the next episodes will be about explanations on how the world and society works in the series (at least we had that big hand at the end of the episode).

After last week's terrible episode it's great to see the show is starting to get back on track.
Also anyone else notice how A-1's episodes tend to be better than Trigger's episodes? You would expect the opposite because it's usually Trigger that does the crazy fun anime and A-1 that does generic shit with bad writing, but for some reason it's the opposite here.

There is no A-1 or Trigger episode, it's all one thing, created by Trigger and Produced by A-1.

But how? Eva is a classic even if the ending is debatable.
a classic is nothing compared to modern. Franxx has better mecha design, better art, better graphic, better plot.

Hahahahaha, stop dreaming, from 15 episodes of Darling in the Franxx, i might say that at least 5 episodes are horrible, a few more bad ones, a few good ones and only 3 great episodes.

The Franxx's designs are horrible, boobs and anime eyes, isn't that what the test group likes?? boobs and big eyes, sorry, but no.
