Best comment ever and I am pretty feel like a confused boy right now and it's not a nice feeling I am telling you ;< Edit: Can also someone explain this to me or any assumption will be welcomed. As the series ended it was the start of Third Galactic Reich which is year 0. But they show us 221 years later at the very end of last episode and they are also showing us inside of Valvrave Unit I and I am guessing that Shoko is the one who became the pilot of this unit which is also obvious at this point. Everything is fine but one thing is bothering me. As we know that when you use Valvrave then it consumes your memories which is energry source to Pino but when they have shown the inside of Unit I, we can clearly see that Shoko's memories are still intact. Because she has every memory from childhood up to her high school days. However, saki and the mysterious enemy are fighting pretty 214 years into the future. So there is seven year gap between this war and the time they have shown us at the end of this episode. Since they have been fighting constantly how come Shoko's or other's pilots memories are still intact? I know that when you are out of memories then you tend to die and it's possible to feed the Valvrave with the newly created memories but what bothers me most is Shoko's memories are still intact when they have shown inside of the unit I. So I am just guessing that she never used that machine after she became the pilot of it or I am missing something here in the whole picture lol. edit2: I think same question asked before. Sorry for not reading other post but it would be nice if someone gives me pleasuble answer. Thanks in advance. edi3: rillynx said: JeffreyZin said: This anime had suffered the same fate just like Code Geass & Guilty Crown. I mean none of these shows had a happy ending. Back to my original quote again: Monty_Mon said: This last episode feels like paying a prostitute for my first time, a little ackward but very exciting and at the very end when I'm about to climax, she leaves, leaving behind a bottle of hand lotion and a very confused boy. In some moment the teacher/scientist (I forgot his name) of said this about unit 01 "(...) its a very special unit(...)". In other moment Pino said she consumes very little for herself and the rest is for the functioning of the Valvraves. In other moment Haruto denies feed himself and the Valvraves cease to function and then he made the "feed contract" with L-Elf. Said this, we can conclude: 1)The unit 01 send most (or all) runes to the other units need. It would explain why the pilots of the other units (3, 4, 5 and 6) don't suffer memory loss. 2)If as long a Valvrave isn't used, the rune consumption is very low and by this is possible live without losing memories (the great memory loss that Haruto and Marie suffered only happens when the rune recover/production don't follow the rune consumption or the "limiter" is broken). I think I forgot to tell something, so if anything didn't became clear just ask and I will try to answer. Hope it was useful. |

Also, this show left me bewildered. o.O I wonder if there's an OVA or something to explain things up? ;l |

haha so many people hated this ending xD I really liked the ending, but just kind of confused since so much wasn't really explained, at the very least not in enough detail. Well out of this massacre, at least Saki and eru-erufu survived (my fav. two chars), but too bad for Tokishima Haruto. It'd be cool if you could keep one memory or w/a and survive =P Everybody hates Q-vier, nothing else really needs to be said about that. Though idk wtf was about that "waffe shield" Haha, so the council of 101 had been plotting these for decades or w/a and then it quickly shows that they were all killed, it just felt kind of abrupt. Well what I thought to be average initially at beginning of S1 turned out to develop pretty far (maybe too far since a lot left unexplained), so I give this a high rating. Maybe I miss so many plot problems in series b/c I watch so many series at a time, plus 1 ep a week (which I don't always keep up the pace), so it's probably that I take it one episode at a time =/ |

Or did you guys forget that they were actually doing normal stuff for a bit during that time? Bz said: I am not exactly sure but I thought Marie suffered great memory loss because she was incompatible? Nah, if she were incompatible the valvrave would kill her if she tried to pilot it. She was just a test pilot and they pulled her out of the program because she would have been killed if they kept going on with the testing (due to losing her runes). amc9988 said: wtf, I feel like they left a lot of ideas that they have thought during season 1,I mean who the heck saki make promise with, and what about the 7 vavlrave??? Being able to survive being shot, and being stabbed, and living forever doesn't necessarily mean they are entirely immortal. They don't regrow body parts. So in the case of Inuzuka and Thunder, well their bodies completely exploded into space dust. They had no remaining consciousness to heal themselves. Surviving being shot is very different from being cut in half, then exploding in a vacuum where there isn't any air to begin with. |

TenshiGeraku said: Am I the only one satisfied with the ending and all? Oh well, it seems so. I actually liked it myself. Although I'm still trying to piece together what happened with the time skip, I really like how they showed all of Shouko's pictures in Haruto's Valverave, to serve as a memorial to the man who sacrificed his memories to fight for them. It really ended things on a sweeter note considering the revelation of the Magius led to a conflict that is never resolved. I think Shouko ended up taking on Haruto's Valvrave in order to dedicate her life to the promise made between L-Elf and Haruto and help humans and magius coexist. Hmm, overall I have to say this was quite the series. I feel like S2 was a step up from S1 and although there were still moments that had me bursting out laughing, was able to remain compelling and kept me interested and entertained. I wish they had made this 13 episode though, since I feel they could have touched on some things, especially the time skip, in more detail with it. But I realize not every question can be answered nor are they meant to be, for that can take away from the romance of imagination. Oh and let's not forget this is Konymeiki Valvrape, the series that abandons common sense and reason to bring us the most laughable intelligent twists ever. Still, I was entertained by this second half. 8/10. |

Finally got around to watch the second season and did so in one go. It was definitely entertaining, although the ending wasn't satisfactory. So many questions left unanswered. Especially the future scenes weren't explored in enough detail. I was honestly pissed to see Shouko being alive after the timeskip. Oh how much I wished for her to die. At least that lunatic Q-Vier died. Although his behaviour made at least some sense considering the conditioning they were undergoing at a young age. Saki was the best girl for me. Didn't like that we saw her talking about her feelings for Haruto just minutes before reaching the conclusion, but her reaction to his death wasn't even briefly shown. But the lack of time is to blame for this, AGAIN. Furthermore, there were many ridiculous events and decisions that literally made me facepalm. So much stupidity at times, it was unbearable. One of many examples: Did the Valvrave's pilots really capture a Phantom and despite running tests, not bother freeing the people aboard it, fully aware of the fact that losing too many runes leads to death? REALLY? And afterwards they are all TOTALLY incapable of explaining shit. Haruto seemingly didn't even try to explain the situation to Shouko. They were accused of feeding on people, whereupon Shouko asked Haruto personally but all he did, was mutter ambiguous and misleading shit, thus implying they in fact captured and killed those people themselves. He didn't even try to tell her that the ship wasn't theirs. There's definitely much left to be desired. Nevertheless, I cannot deny that it was a fun show. |

Clearly Shoko did replace Haruto in Unit 01. It seems she left as soon as the memorial for Haruto and the others was complete. The Prince could be the decendent of both Haruto and L-elf since he kind of looks like both of them. Saki could of become pregnant with Haruto's child when he lost control and raped her. We don't know how long the incubation takes since both were already immortal when it happened. L-elf probably got together with someone after he completely got over Lisette's loss and had a child of his own. Sometime in the following generations in L'elf's descendent line and Haruto's descendent line got together (remeber it is 220 years) resulting in the future prince. It was hinted L-elf was also descendent of royalty. What happened to Satomi in the future? Is that Satomi or his descendent? If it was him he should of recognized Shoko immediately. If not what happened to him in the future as he should be just as much an immortal like the rest Saki, Shoko, and his sister Akira as he temporarily piloted Unit 01 making him immortal. Mari was once a test pilot of Unit 01 when she was younger. Because she was a pilot she still has a childish appearance she had when she was a test pilot even in highschool so same should be applied to Satomi. |

I don't think I ever wrote how i felt about this ending when i completed this season of Valvrave but something made me come here to read the comments and from what I've read it's a simple. Should this be given a 3rd season NO EFFINN WAY! Like everyone else I also want to know who is who as there is a lot of black holes in the stories of characters that played a less important roll but defined our resolve that made us want to see the story through till the end. I hate how everyone abuse "plothole" and "trianwreck" term's here. This is so stupid, the fact that something is unexplained or doesn't fit into real-world logic doesn't make it a Plot hole =.= In my opinion it was great and fresh ride. Valvrave certainly isn't the most intelligent or inspiraional thing I've watched in my life, but it was hell of good enterntainment. I loved how while watching it, I've never seen things coming, dramatic reveals were hard to predict and pretty crazy at many times. Return of peace to the world temporarily And you guys are complaining WTF? Yes I do agree some of these were rushed and the suspense we had was killed off literally (Council of 101) dies. But what do you expect from a mecha anime like this? But to be honest even if I bag on this, I do wish there was a resolution between Haruto and Shoko directly but hey that's what it is. Like how Nunally never knew the intentions of Lelouch until the end (also Karin) |

OK here's the explanation on the ending which I think was pretty awesome though a little short. So we end with the golden seven "blessed ones" several of which are already dead: -Haruto -Shoko who becomes the new unit 1 pilot -Akira -Maria the fist test pilot for unit 1 -"Thunder" -The blue sheild valvrave guy -Rukino Saki In the flash forward of episode 15 Satomi says that the prince's grandmother is rembokoji and there is only one female rembokoji : Akira. Now judging from the wedding scene in the last episode I think the princes granfather is (was?) A-Drei since Akira was one of the "options" for him to choose along with shoko, Saki and that royalist women. Since A-Drei was the next in line to be the successor of the royal family (From what he said to L-Elf in the early episodes that he was to become his right hand man). The prince really looks like L-elf but unlike A-Drei nothing was pointing towards the fact that L-Elf had any interest in the women that were alive by the end of the last episode. L-elf wasn't royalty and A-drei also has white hair so... The council 101 is dead, A-Drei is a leader of the new country's army judging from those war scenes and after 200 years Saki is still fighting due to her promise to haruto to never give up/stop fighting. Those green beings at the end were probably some sort of new magius just like pino and plu were some new artificial magius of their time and... thats about it. This I think ties up all the plot holes and loose ends everyone seems to be complaining about, but I agree that an OVA would be nice to wrap things up. If you have any input on this please leave a comment. Cheers. |

Honestly, they should have stuck with the formula they had on season one. They writers tried to up the drama a bit too much and the season suffered for it, especially Haruto. *goes back to writing Valvrave fanfic* |

FUCK, So they Were Made to be Liars...AGAIN!!!! Q-vier died. Yeye, pity that he did not die with regrets and with Scream. Final fight, and Damn Cain is strong....But Now, X) Goodbye Cain-Bitch!!! Die With SCREAM!!!!! Haruto, your self-sacrificing nature, and you Legacy, will live on, In new Galactic Order, where Peace for both of Races is Guarded with Shoko, Saki and Akira. They will not disappoint your Memory. Now Sayonara, tell Kyūma, Aina, Mari and "Thunder" Yamada don't worry. Rest in Peace |

3ocean said: OK here's the explanation on the ending which I think was pretty awesome though a little short. Cheers. Godmother or Grandmother? That makes a huge difference. Still alot of plot holes, the child is unclaimed. |

I still CANNOT believe why is everyone always sit there & take it as an excuses over stuff never addresses & etc. For me, I CARE about this series so much after Code Geass & Guilty Crown, literally. Typical writer who did this 'stupid' stuff. |

If its godmother than considering the facial features L-elf has to be the ancester. That's ONE "plot hole", witch in reality is more a lack of closure than a plot hole due to the fact we don't know who the "mother" is. It doesn't contradict anything. So there no more plot holes. ^^ |

Just finished Valvrave, gotta say it was good, but like everyone here already noticed,it had some things that they didn't explain.like for example WHY JUST HARUTO LOST HIS MEMORIES? and Saki /Akira and the others pilots haven't? What was the pendant that Saki had on her chest all the time and looking at it?i mean what was his significance? For the question who was that "prince's boy" i would say one of A-drei's descendant, and for the question who's his mother(another Hole) no1 can answer that, but it's not one of the MC (Akira/Saki/Shoko). A good series but because of these "holes" i'm gonna give it an 8/10. Of course if anyone is kind enough to give me some answers of first 2 questions i would be grateful ;) |
