The ending lived up to how bad this manga turned out to be.

The ending was alrite to me, I mean the meteor was mentioned a couple of times and Inuyashiki and Hiro were given those powers to stop the meteors according to what the aliens were saying

So, is this finally the final chapter? Hard to tell, any of the last few chapters could've been the final one.

The only good thing is that the public doesn't know about the psycho saving the world. Too bad they don't know about Inuyashiki either.

I really don't like the turn the manga did. Wish it had stayed SOL about the geezer performing small acts of superheroics. 6/10

the genre was science fiction, not SoL, at the end a manga like that needs to end I mean... people were dying and there had to be something to repay it all

Btw Inuyashiki and Hiro got the powers because the aliens didn't want earth to be destroyed so they gave an ultimate power to him so he could stop the meteor.

Hahaha, I'm all for head canon, but when your head canon completely and utterly contradicts the manga itself, you need to sit down and reevaluate all your opinions.

The aliens were saying that the ULTIMATE POWER WARBOTS they just set loose would likely end up destroying the Earth. And they didn't give a fuck.

The amount of stupidity for most people here that probably cried all sort of nonsense because they're afraid of a bad ending is staggering. Then again, MAL has always been so much of a shit stain of a community. Not much to speak off because a post up above that gave 9/10 had already summarized everything there is to tick down trolls that tried their damnest spirits to complained about even the smallest of things. Not to mentions of those giving ridiculous pretentious shaming to people that enjoyed this manga and the anime. Your taste isn't possessed by many other people, dumbass.

At first I didn't enjoy those last few chapters and the whole meteor thing but after thinking about it, it actually is a pretty nice ending to the story. These two characters are similar but they both get these godly powers and use they in completely opposite ways.

Inuyashiki tries to save and heal as many people and Hiro uses it kill because it makes him feel alive, their difference in age and what they've experienced in their lives so far compels them to go different routes, Hiro has no experience is dealing with the consequences of his actions so he does whatever he wants and it hurts everyone around him, while Inu's lived a whole life already and understands what's important and precious to him, his family, health, and keeping his loved one's safe.

One thing I kinda wished Hiro would have said to Inu at the end would be like "you see? you still wonder why i hate them? let them be free and they'll all destroy each other." These guys can cure cancer and say people on the brink of death, survive countless gunshots and stabbings, they're basically gods but even they can't save everyone.

The meteor was the force of nature they couldn't save people from, the only way they could save the people they love was with sacrificing themselves.

But fucking Trump tho LOLOL ahh that was hilarious, Oku's probably gonna use that idiot as a villain all the time now :P

Dissapointing ending
Every average not to say untalented mangaka could think of a piece of shit ending like this
If you're not planning to make something properly dont start it in the first place. Its frustrating thinking about the weeks i lost waiting for this shit to come out, no imagination at all good music and animation were a waste tbh
Im done no more mangas from Hiroya

The aliens didn't give them the bodies because they knew the meteor was coming. They just felt bad for accidently killing them. Unfortunately for them they said they only had combat models and were worried it would end the planet but the other guys said screw it who cares, we dont got time.

That was it.

Goddammit Oku you did it again.

Oku seems to have a very hard time ending his mangas. (although i did like Me-teru no Kimochi end) His mangas are very interesting he just need to work on how to end them properly.

Gantz had one of the worst ending EVER almost ruined a very badass manga. Now Inuyashiki has such a crap ending too.

Inuyashiki was the worst. None of them deserved to live while Inuyashiki himself died.

I think Inuyashiki end was as bad as Gantz's.

At least i liked the rest of the manga so i still give it 8

I despise woke people.

This mangaka has no idea how to finish his stories... he leaves so many plot holes, unanswered question and just disappointing endings... Good starts but no middle or finish to his works. He just seems to lose track of his stories.

If you think about it, Meteor could have been well sent by the aliens who messed up to begin with. After all, they knew Hiro and Inuyashiki could destroy the meteor... but would also disappear. In this way, the balance is restored, there is no superior technology on Earth anymore.

The ending was fucked up here big-time. It's such a shame too cause this manga started out so nicely.

quite surprised at the negative reception of the ending
it feels like the only fitting conclusion, given the direction the character arcs led
the specifics are dumb, but this is hardly hard sci fi, and it knows it (even referencing bay)

this manga really benefited from its brevity
it's like the interesting character studies in gantz without the piles of excess
loved it

Wow... That's why I don't read reviews about stuff that interess me before reading, not only i loved the manga but I found the ending quite fiting. The antagonist despite his mental state still had enough humanity to act selflessly for those he valued... Even if that was part of his mental illness. I liked it very much, "monsters" are just humans, those who do "inhuman" acts are always humans.

Honestly solid ending nothing grand but I still enjoyed this series for what it does and thought it was a unique approach to a story

Bruh, what was that? I still remember reading one of the afterwords from Gantz where Oku Hiroya shits on The Lord of the Rings and in the same breathe praises films such as Independence Day. I really wish he'd put more effort into writing a story that isn't filled with plot holes and huge lapses in quality.

After Mari's one-shot at the end where that kid is put into cryosleep to be cured later in the future, I half expected an Iron Giant ending with Inuyashiki's components slowly reassembling themselves. This could have been built/alluded to earlier if Shishigami reattached his arms. Plus it looked like he he exploded into parts rather than being completely obliterated.

Inuyashiki was certainly entertaining, but never reaches the level of something like Gantz, which was really held up by its high concept sci-fi and characters. The artwork seemed more rudimentary this time, too. There are some brilliant arrangements, but also a lot of pages that just look like a photograph with an art filter applied. I had fun with it, though.

Not an entirely terrible ending. I enjoyed this, although the characters are pretty basic and the art was not super consistent.
