Would you beat up Tsuruya too? 'Cause she's the one who supplied the drink. Besides, she didn't treat Mikuru like an object any more than she has before - her exclamation of Mikuru being her toy was a direct riposte to Kyons statement Mikuru wasn't. In other words, it was more a matter of defying Kyon than of making Mikuru an object. Not that she doesn't mainly see Mikuru as an object, of course. Just, she has always done so. Haruhi was always this much of a jerk, this episode just was the first time Kyon became very much aware of it. It's fun to see how the audience seems to share Kyons subjective experience so deeply. |

| wow i just realized how much a HATE all the girls in this show except for yuuki. they are all annoying and haruhi is a selfish bitch. i mean dude! she freaking drugged asahina and wouldn't stop hitting her! what is wrong with her?! and the girl with the green hair just wouldn't stop laughing like an idiot! the guys are the only cool ones, but itsuki is also getting on my nerves (shame, cuz i liked him most). so yeah u could say i only like it for kyon now -.- |

| Yeah, I was discussing the episode with a friend yesterday and his excuse was (giving Kyon the benefit of the doubt), that the whole scene was like the last straw. It was more of an expression of rage that had built up over the past few months rather than Kyon getting angry at that particular situation. Even if that's true, though, I still dislike the scene. It kind of ruins Kyon and Haruhi's effect as a comedic duo and makes both characters less likable. Like imagine if during an Abbot and Costello routine, Abbot stopped caring who the hell was on first and decided to just take a baseball bat to Costello's head. ...okay, that would actually be kind of funny. But not if they played sad music during the event, like they did in this episode! |

| even though haruhi was completely acting like a child, pretty much getting on everyone's nerve, and just doing the most despicable things; I was completely repulsed that kyon was about to hit her. he wasn't going to slap her, he was going to punch her and he would have if koizumi hadn't stopped him. you should never hit a woman, and that goes the other way as well. 3 things pissed me off: -haruhi for just passing over the line, doing all those things to mikuru (even if she was jealous) -mikuru for being such a push over, not being able to do anything herself, she always has to get rescued (I have to say that she's my least favorite character, I dislike weak- damsels in distress characters) -and kyon for almost hitting haruhi >.< (also dislike that he's attention is always on mikuru) |

| Haruhi was acting like a bitch. (Although by the end of the episode, much of my annoyance with her dissipated) I actually wanted Kyon to slap her so as to knock some sense into her. I was irritated at Koizumi for stopping Kyon too. Then I took a good look at Kyon's hand. Seeing it curled into a tight fist irked me for some reason. I wasn't expecting him to be that angry that he would want to punch Haruhi. A major turn-off for me. Argh Mikuru annoys me too. She should stand up for herself more. In fact I would have liked it if she was the one to slap Haruhi instead of Kyon. And Yuki is awesome lol. I wonder how she manages to stay so calm all the time. |

| Wow. I take back everything I said on my post on the last episode. This episode alone pretty much makes up for Endless Eight in my opinion, and is the first one in the series to finally stand up to the brilliant Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody. Typical Haruhi, just as I was starting to lose faith in the series, thiey manage to pull something this intense and different off so well. A truly classic moment for the canon, and an episode that makes the lesser quality of the previous episodes all the more mystifying. |

| Don't like Kyon anymore. How dares he to rise fist against a girl and senior rank on top of that? All he was supposed to do is just follow Haruhi's orders, not going against her! Everyone know's what kind of character Haruhi is and if they don't like it - why are they in SOS brigade at all!? Haruhi orders - you follow. Why Kyon make things so complicated? He's not in any position to act the way he acted, he's just a camera-man! Haruhi wanted to make a little love scene. Taking in account Mikuru's personality - there's no way she could possibly deliver what Haruhi demands to, unless there'd be a way to make Mikuru relax a bit. All that is left is just following Haruhi's lead and filming all scene, but then some cameraman decides that it's all wrong and goes swinging fists against director! Is it ok? I don't think so. My thoughts about Kyon now is well reflected by Itsuki's words: 'And here i thought you were a calmer sort of person.' |

And then you order someone to make her drunk so you can have an erotic/love scene while the acteress isn't even aware of what is happening?! But hey she her powers don't make her unstoppable if nagato could drain her powers and change reality like in the movie. Haruhi was much better in the normal world and well mannered. I'm just surprised with the trouble she causes noone has tried to come from space or the future to kill her. She can't destroy the world if she dead. lol But her personality needs serious work and itsuki is annoying,telling kyon to say something to her so she won't be depressed forget that let her come to him and apologize. I'm just glad someone new came along with similar powers. It would probably be the end of the series if haruhi became mature and apologized she really has a lot of redeeming to do with her fans. The only way she would be fully redeemed is if she fights to protect the one she loves and saves the world and gives up her life in the process. |

| Kyon's obsession with Mikuru is really making this anime leave a very sour taste.....I loved this anime when i first started watching it...My favorite episode is still the one where they're in the closed space. This episode annoyed me and made me feel really bad for Haruhi. You could see in her eyes how much Kyon's actions hurt her. Like someone said Mikuru already knows what's going to happen, so why feel sorry for her? Everytime Kyon talks about Mikuru i just want to smack him across the face. It's Kyon and Haruhi, always. Not Kyon and Bitchuru. |

| This episode was a very interesting take on things. I think the intention was to make the viewer dislike Haruhi. And wow what a great husband Kyon would make. Domestic abuser...
