| I have to be honest the intro doesn't feel as strong (I'm talking about the music, the visuals are good as always) as the ones of season 1, but it's still cool, I like it! This episode was just Wham-Bam, the mystery... That motherf*cker talked?! What!? The last scene... and all of the Irony that represented for that character in particular, what a way of demoralizing a human being. Man, this series is vicious as ever... On a side note: It never fails to amaze me the way those bastards (Titans) start their run and how they run... that moment was funny, creepy, cringy as well as eerie... if you wathc that you know that there is a slim chance that you are gonna survive that unless you are Eren, Levi, Commander Erwin or Mikasa. |

| The HYPE is real. The opening is good but I feel that it is missing something, not as catchy as in season 1. The ending was AMAZING. The episode was pretty epic, and enough to keep me excited for more, I just can't wait for next week. We will finally see some development for best girl Sasha. |

| it was so surreal to finally see a new episode of this series after all this time. great to have it back though. I've caught up with the manga since the last season ended, and there's a lot of things I'm looking forward to seeing animated this season. the Beast Titan was one of those things and I was not disappointed. that last scene was enough for me to forgive Wit for the long wait. brilliantly executed. Also holy sh*t I love that ED its so cool and eerie. |
| Very good. It wasn't perfect, but still exciting to watch. I'm glad I rewatched Season 1 two months ago. Now I remember most of what happened xD The visuals were good, as expected. However, I didn't enjoy quite much those scenes where the characters looked like they were drawn with thinner outlines (or whatever you call them). I love the opening song! It's similar to the previous ones, and since I loved the other two it's actually a good thing to sound similar. I especially love how it starts! The ending isn't my favorite type of music, but together with the images it sounded/looked creepy, which is good. What I missed the most from this episode was the main group (Eren + Mikasa + Armin). They barely got any screen time :( That titan spinning out of nowhere and sprinting was creepy. Also that beast titan, throwing Miche's horse and then starts to speak. AND ALSO MICHE'S DEATH! | Its not that the hype is back with me already, but I could say, this was an impressive episode. The fanbase surely alive this April, but prepare for despair if you haven't read the manga. The improvement with the animation can't just ignore. I remembered back then on first season, with the scene of Eren and his mother, having a very similar design of face, but this season, surely have the character design improvement and same goes with the animation's color scheme improvement, it did really match the atmosphere of this episode. For the OP, that wasn't match par with the season one's OP, but it has the same beat but a lower one, I preferred the first season's. The ED song wasn't my liking but with its visual I like it showing the ancient arts of the Titan history. Overall the episode was really entertaining, pretty faithful adaptation. I can't really ignore Krista's adorableness on this episode. |

| Doesn't seem to be any drop in quality from S1 which is expected, i'm glad they're staying true to the manga - next few episodes should be much more fast paced. Unfortunately songs for OP and ED aren't as exciting as the previous season, soundtrack is alright though. Thing is, because they haven't changed anything from season 1 in terms of cinematics, scenes such as gore and the strategies etc. aren't as impactful. If only they did 13x 46 minute episodes >.> |

| The ED caught my eye more than everything else tbh.. I mean wtf was up with that creepy shit.. P.S. i know Sasha was meant to be killed off in ch36 but wasn't. Imagine, however, if that had actually happened.. Episode 1, mike dies, Episode 2, Sasha dies... This fandom would've gone nuts ;D |

For anyone that bothers to check ThatAnimeSnob channel from time to time (a great mistake for me), DON"T FREAKING WATCH HIS NEW AOT VIDEO...He recentlly posted a troll video where he deliberately spoils a bunch of stuff revealed in the manga...I, who only read the manga to a certain extent, still fell pray to it and it freacking sucks. So please be careful, I don't want it to happen to any of you. |

| The new OP&ED are surprisingly shite. The opening blatantly tries to imitate the cool factor of S1's lazily... with characters getting dressed +... dinosaurs. Only got decent when teasing the action that comes later. ED is pretty stylish 'n cool visually - showing the ancient past/fighting titans without 3DMG. But the 'music'? Just incoherent noise that doesn't fit the series. Would fit Spice & Wolf but not this. And, the usual flashes of spiderman animation aside, the budget seems on par with 25ep S1, which isn't a good thing. I didn't appreciate the horror-esque quickcuts towards the end, either. Episode itself was good, though: got right into the Beast Titan, as you'd expect. Mike part was exciting/intriguing, like in the manga. And I can't deny Sawano's remixed music made me cheeks tingle a little. But I did expect more in every sense after such a lengthy gap between S1&2. I'm just hoping all the budget gets spent on the titan action later. ALL OF IT. Plz. |

| The scene with Mike and the Beast Titan was very well done, and it succeeded in terrifying me, which hasn't happened to me in a while. The hints and foreshadowing in the opening and (especially) the ending are MASSIVE. The opening sounds like typical Linked Horizon. I love it. Still, nothing beats Guren no Yumiya. The ending was OK, still doesn't fit in Attack On Titan (at least not in this season). So much new stuff and so much hype that I still can't calm down. Great episode! |
| What can I say? It's classic Attack on Titan. Great action, first off. I already read the manga so it was kind of like a review of what I already knew from the story, but I personally think it's better than the manga. It's good so far, but I'm a little apprehensive about the rest of the season due to how the manga went (not going to spoil anything.) Overall, I liked it and I will be watching the other episodes when they come out. |

| Btw, in Anime News Networks it was revealed that the Beast Titan is voiced by Takehito Koyasu. I knew his voice was really familiar. |

| Beautiful first episode and that ending's got to be one of the most gory deaths in the series. Anyways, if there are titans inside all the walls, am I missing something or that should have been found out when wall Maria got destroyed at the beginning? Or are they just in wall Sina? |

Or are they just in wall Sina? that was the gate, not the wall. If you notice the armored titan and the collosal titan never attack the wall itself, but instead the gate. |
@TheServant the cgi scene for the horse did not affect the series at all. As long as the cgi isn't too much and is in non important scenes, I'm cool with it. Heck, I didn't even notice it until I did a rewatch. |

Yeah, that's what I meant by imitating S1's first OP: both the visuals and audio. It sounded so much like what I'd heard before so many times it had no effect on me, which is a pity when S1's OPs got me pumped. And the uninspired visual direction only worsened it. You would think they'd go all out given there isn't going to be a second opening... oh well! The B&W, unique stylisation the first ED had in S1 also blew away the S2 end by a huge distance. Had a lot more emotion driving it, as well. |

| Dat Beast Titan, though! Holy shit!! Goddamn it, Mike! You could have walked away with your life. Not EVERYTHING Titan related is meant to be a battle. Unfortunately, I think he realized that a bit too late. Those Wall fuckers know about the Titans in the walls. I shudder to think about what their logic could have been when they made that decision. Perhaps this is why the Titans are attacking. They want their kin folk back. Is it just me or are the features and behaviors of the Titans even more bizarre that last season? Ex.: That weird flipping sprint that Titan took off into, and the big headed Titan with the large eyes and no neck. |

| I really liked the first episode and its new op. In this first episode, AoT season 2 followed exactly what was in the manga so far with only missing out on minor details. I don't know if the rest of the season will be just like the manga, but I hope it is a little bit better than its manga. I won't go into reasons for that because of spoilers, but I think the manga could have turned out a little better. When talking only about the first episode. I loved it. |

| I was watching this with so much tension, gods... and then Mike's death, was just as damn brutal as Eren's mother, but his screaming was another level... Not implying that Mike was a coward or anything; I mean, I could feel the horror in his voice, then him being completely devoured, bones crushed, flesh tore... It was a great comeback of the show. |

| Unfortunately had the identity of some of the Titans spoiled to me by filthy manga-readers, and a yuri doujin of all things, but hopefully this series still has plenty of twists and turns ahead. Looking good so far, so I'm excited! |
| It's Been so long! time for another season of anarchy between fans all i remember is reading or seeing spoilers of talking titans but even knowing that it didn't take away from that ending, the underlying twists that await you in AoT is what i look forward to and some entertaining action. only getting a 1 cour after all these years seems questionable i feel like there should be more than enough content for a another 2 cour but what would i know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i'm only a a anime viewer |

| I love the new OP and ED! The ED was kind of hauntingly beautiful though. Welp, gotta wait for another week. I'm glad for my terrible memory for once because season 2 looks so fresh since I've read the manga already. Though I thought Mike wasn't gonna die that early but he did. :'( Its not snk without a character death in the first episode. Am the only one that thinks that giant head tiny titan looked cute for a moment when it was holding Mike in its mouth and the Beast Titan was behind them? o_O |

| Decent episode. If memory serves, a couple scenes were cut out transitioning from the manga to the anime. Animation is decent, but the CGI still looks kinda crappy. |
