The moment he writes the song name i was like WOah! Died_in_Vain said: I can tell you from now that I wouldn't want to see a MAD Victor! This man had been smiling throughout the entirety of this series... you can tell in this episode one of them was forced, like his patience were running thin so NOPE! I wouldn't make him mad if I were Yuri. I thought so too XD I'm pretty sure he's scary when he's angry. Paul said: The ice skating animations are starting to bother me even more. His figure and shadow proportional are so off compared to the background and I'm not sure if it was the ledge but there was a huge black line on the bottom of the screen too when he started, made me think they went past the boundaries of the background image, which is just a still image. They're reminding me much of GoHands studio, the amount of recycled scenes is somewhat bothersome as well, as if they're just copy and pasting onto different backgrounds. I think they were saving for the matches eps. If you look at the next ep pv you would see the art is the same as ep 1. |

| This episode actually gave me hope that Yuuri/Viktor isn't just gonna be queerbaiting?? Praying it keeps up. I'm really excited to see Yurio's routine. He's definitely my favorite character thus far, and I'm weak for androgynous characters. I'm also excited to meet the kid with the funky hair. He seems like he'll be fun. |

| I knew that skaters were placed into competitions worldwide and only the top are placed into the Grand Prix, but I didn't know it was only two out of six. This is why I say that anime is very informative and didactic. Loving this anime!!! |

And the fact how out of breath he was also odd, even if Yuri has great stamina, Victor is a champion-class skater and only 27, I don't think it would've been normal for him to be so out of breath. Enough of my favorite characters have died, so I keep seeing death flags everywhere :D I read somewhere that the studio have already said that none of the characters are going to die (and I'm glad since this genre is much to light-hearted for that)!! Also skating takes a huge toll on your body and most people can't compete beyond the age of 23, so Viktor has probably tired himself out haha |

This anime is great as it is. But bummer, I'm not gay. What I especially love about this anime is that it's managing to explore homo-romantic without devolving to homoerotic. If you read religious mythology, you'll find plenty tales of a man admiring another man to the extent of drinking his sweat or saliva (mostly in stories of Prophets and their followers). And I'm seeing something like this here. It doesn't have the yaoi tag so it's even better because we'll get to see pure homo romance -- non-yucky even for male viewers. |

OMG! bwaahhaah Yuri couldn't help touching the center scalp of Victor! So the title of this anime is the name of the piece that Yuri will be playing! 5/5. |

| I don't think (well I don't want to think that!) Victor may have an illness. I think he may be worried about the future, and feel old. He has already retire at 27!!! It's hard for a 60+ worker so... As for the hair... he may already began to lose it! Depending of your father, around 30 or even earlier you can become bald! Plus, it looks like Yuuri really wanted to touch Victor's hair, and blushed! He couldn't help himself to touch Victor's hair. Victor is taller than Yuuri so it's probbly the first time Yuuri looked at the top of Victor's head! It was so cute! About the stamina, we know that Yuuri is training more than anyone else, so of course he has more stamina! Nishigori said his short program (ep3) is very hard because all the jumps are in the second half, and Victor Also sheduled the hardest jump (4T) at the end of the free program because of Yuuri's stamina! And he also said he became Yuuri's coach because of his body (^_-) In the onsen Yuuri also blushed and looked away when Victor did some stretching. Yuuri already often saw Victor naked, without blushing or looking away... I think (I want to think) he began to realise his feelings for Victor and not only think that Victor is his god or his idol! (I'm pretty sure Minako and Yu-chan already noticed Yuuri loves Victor in a romantic way) At the beginning he couldn't even speak with Victor and now he can enter his room without even knocking and jump in his bed like it was nothing, even waking up Victor in the middle of the night! For the "boyfriend" question, more than being surprised, I think there no way Yuuri say "yes"! He has no selfconfidence and Victor asked him if Yuuri want him to be his boyfriend, he didn't ask Yuuri to be his boyfriend, it's very different if you don't have selfconfidence. He just believe he's not good enough for Victor, but if he wins the Gran Prix... (^o^) If they bring the girl from Detroit, who don't even have a face or a name just to erase all the romantic relationship between Yuuri and Victor, I will return to Japan and set a fire to the studio! I had the feeling I knew Hasetsu but I was sure I never went to Hasetsu! I didn't know Karatsu is the real Hasetsu! I visited in Karatsu in October 2010 and I really liked that town. My photos are like the anime, so beautiful! |

| I'm curious about Yuri's past. If his routine is going to be based on love, we should know more about the girl who showed some interest in Yuri. I also wonder if the girl who made his music was the same girl who hugged him in the hospital. I don't think it was but I'm sure we will see the Music girl eventually, probably when he goes to Bangkok for the competition. Really magnificent episode overall though. |

| I've seen so many people talking about The Girl (TM) but I don't think she's going to end up being important. She hasn't been named, and she was mainly mentioned in passing and, on top of that, Yuuri wasn't interested in her. If this anime brings her in as a love interest I'm going to be so mad- it's such a lazy thing to do tbh all just to erase gay subtext smh |

| I doubt Victor is going to die...or is even ill for that matter. They blatantly state that competitive figure skating takes an immense toll on the athletes body. Both Yuri and Victor are older than a lot of others competing at this point and both are close to retirement from the sport. In the same episode Yuri (23 years old) states it will probably be his last season and he 'doesn't know how long his body will hold up', Victor has been skating competitively several years longer than Yuri so imagine the toll it's taking on him. That doesn't mean they're not healthy though, it just means that the sport is difficult and physically demanding. |
