It was basically Kurosawa's Hidden Fortress (Star Wars lel) but fuck it, I enjoyed every minute of it. For a game that came out at the end of a generation; it sure had the PS2 go out with a bang. | im one of those who almost got a heart attack when The Last Guardian was revealed like 6 years ago but now that im seeing it, i dunno, guess i lost interest on it not that hyped about FF7 i always thought it was a step down from FF6 kickstarter for real? ill wait for more info, cant get hyped for that |

The problem is that the traditional battle system as aged and is quite obsolete now within the mainstream of rpgs. But yes i would also like a return to the roots if possible with some innovation. Just look at "Lost Odyssey" even though its a real old game now, thats a perfect example of creating a game with its traditional elements and making it go through lots of innovation in the process. It really the only game on the xbox 360 that retained superior graphics during its time but kept the old traditional systems and rpg elements from the previous generation. If they did something similar like that to FF VII remake, that would be awesome. I personally have never grown out of the old turn based system, but it matters what the majority of the fanbase is geared or targeted towards. More then likely its going to be something around the same lines of FF XV with a more real time action based battle system, but CROSS YOUR FINGERS and HOPE that they reveal more of it during the SE press show. |
