Hopefully not being a teenager anymore won't mean I begin to revel in my own mediocrity.

Not that it really matters, I guess. While I'd rather not age, shit happens and I'm going to die, so whatever.

There are actually a fair bit of people in the 20-40 range on these forums.

I see it in 2 ways. One its nice to be older and live by myself. However, i miss the physical fitness i used to have as well as the lack of certain aches and pains...

Yay, I'm done being a teen. Boo, I have to wait one more year to drink legally. That's some bullshit. Why 21 anyway? What is so special about that number?

No, being in the sexual prime of my life rocked, thankyouverymuch.

Though I'm only 22 so its not like I'm *old* or anything, but still, I do miss being 17, 'twas a fun time.

I don't know that I will. Being 17 is awesome, it's where you get the most privileges with the fewest responsibilities for those privileges.

Yep, don't put us in the same room with those idiots and generalize. It's great though now all the idiots dropped out of school this year.

And, Sukunai, i'm glad to be a damned teenager. I always want to be so naive, just and righteous, thinking I can make the world a better place. I love lying to myself. Some people just don't want to face how shit and pointless everything really is.

besides, the body at large is immaterial, it is only the brain that counts, how to keep the brain cells from dying. Everything else can be replaced by steel and plastic before long.

Except the liver. Unfortunately the brain cells don't live without stuff produced by the rest of the body. Quite useless creatures.

Ah indeed, ages are blurry in my mind. ><

Then you're right. You had nothing in the 90s to do as a teen. It seems that everyone who was a teen during the 90s (me included, the earlier years) either forgot it or was never a teen or did exactly the same things kids do today. Except for internet. @.@

I surely don't feel like an adult, though I feel like I'm more mature than when I was 13-15.
But yeaaah I like being 18, in whichever group I'm in.

Yeah, KIDS did. Notice I said 26 and up now, not those on the tail-end. My teen years were completely contained within the 90s and no one played Pokemon within 2-3 years plus/minus my age. I sold Pokemon cards and games when I was 18 to younger kids too.

Actually, I was in an obnoxious mood when I posted it.
And then to my surprise, you guys all decided to be interesting and post useful comments.
Thanks for screwing up all my plans :)

You do realize though, to a bloke in his mid 40s, being 15 or 25 is damn near the same from my view point :) Come to think of it, girls that are 35 look like little girls to some extent as well hehe.

It's all perspective. I see threads where its like all about what do you think of Megan Fox? for example, and Megan to me is as unapproachable as any teenager.
While not technically anime, currently I am a big fan of Hatsune Miku.
At least I can go see her in concert.

My bro was around 18 and him and all his friends used to play pokemon. In fact, I remember loads of the playing Pokemon Stadium or whatever it was called.

It's all just a matter of perspective.

Being a teen you think going 30 is such an adult age already. Then, actually being 30, you notice nothing really changed much (unless you got a kid, unhappy marriage and have to work your ass off all the time with no time for yourself). Then you're worried about getting to the middle age, but (this, I only imagine) then you become a 40 year old guy and provided you're still healthy and not going through a crisis, you can still enjoy your life. And 60-70 years old people, who really are old, say that 'he's still so young'.
It's kinda funny.

The reason for this is probably that before being adult, kids and teenagers tend to see adults around them (parents, teachers) only in their 'adult' roles most often.

But times are changing and society no longer imposes roles on people at certain ages that much.

Why am I even writing so much, I have no idea.

I still say they should remake Pokemon Snap. Considering how the Wiimote functions.

Pokemon was the shit in the late 90s early 00s, and the kids (my age group) back then were brainwashed so much that schools had to ban it in order to keep them half interesting in doing math problems or reading. Good times. xD

A simple number won't make immature people more mature. So I don't give a damn about not being <18 anymore. There are stupid people also above that age. Getting older means bearing more responsibility. As if life would automatically become a great experience by simply having an 18 on your identity card.

No. I wish I was still a teenager. Everything was a lot simpler when I was 15-16. The older I got, the more jaded I became, and I think that due to certain events, I was ended up growing up way too fast - or thinking I could do things, anyway, that I was not mature enough for yet.

Blah.

I love being a teenager. You get more credit on the Internet for not being stupid because it's expected of our age group.

More credit = More e-peen

What bothers me about it is that I can no longer use it as an excuse for messing up as I'm an adult now and not a minor anymore.
My responsibilities have increased and I have to depend on myself to do alot of things rather than asking others for help.
But maturity has nothing to do with age. I've met alot of teenagers who were more mature than me and adults who were plain ignorants. It all depends on one's personal experience and background.
