Then, actually being 30, you notice nothing really changed much (unless you got a kid, unhappy marriage and have to work your ass off all the time with no time for yourself). Then you're worried about getting to the middle age, but (this, I only imagine) then you become a 40 year old guy and provided you're still healthy and not going through a crisis, you can still enjoy your life. And 60-70 years old people, who really are old, say that 'he's still so young'. It's kinda funny. The reason for this is probably that before being adult, kids and teenagers tend to see adults around them (parents, teachers) only in their 'adult' roles most often. But times are changing and society no longer imposes roles on people at certain ages that much. Why am I even writing so much, I have no idea. |

| What bothers me about it is that I can no longer use it as an excuse for messing up as I'm an adult now and not a minor anymore. My responsibilities have increased and I have to depend on myself to do alot of things rather than asking others for help. But maturity has nothing to do with age. I've met alot of teenagers who were more mature than me and adults who were plain ignorants. It all depends on one's personal experience and background. |
