 NTR ENDING! So they both didn't even end up with the Asseylum? But some random guy who we only knew for three episode got with her? The only thing I'm satisfied with is slaine being punished for everything he did. I'm glad it wasn't one of those they faked his death so he can live in some obscure village as a shepard with a new identity kind of endings. Slaine was a wannabe Lelouch and he failed miserably. |

| Another day, another unsatisfying ending. Would have liked an epilogue for lemrina, and the other orbital knights who kept fighting, and atleast some sort of an exchange of words between the princess and Inaho. What was the point in her marrying convenient plot device guy anyways? Did she need to be married to become the empress? Slaine rotting in prison is the only satisfying part about the ending. I would personally enjoy another season, at the very least because I loved the music and action in this anime. Seems most of the people on the forums here watched the entire show just so they could talk about how bad they thought it was lol. |

| Also I strongly dislike that Harklight seems to have died and Lemrina seems to be treated on Earth. Couldn't they have left a hint on a possible new coup? Would've been so much more fitting. | Ending was actually better then I anticipated, but then I had rather low expectations of it. Inaho looking similar to Snake with that eye patch. Funny how he can just put shit into his brain and then take it out, could at least say he deactivated it. When Inaho was pointing his gun at Slain, the situation was reversed and Slain asked to be killed, I was like "Nope, your sorry ass is going to rot in jail". Happy he was actually put in jail and servers his punishment. Some people complain about how Slain "unjustly" got blamed for attempting to assassinating the princess. But it was rather logical conclusion, it's much easier to point a finger at someone and tell them he is the bad guy, then trying to explain what was going on behind the scenes. Also, the winners are the ones who write history. So, was it a perfect ending? Hell no, but it was satisfying. |

| Slaine didn't deserve to rot in jail, he deserved to be written better. I'm not sure why anyone would ship Inaho with anyone, he was a dickhead till the very end. I am not going to spend my time watching season 1 again, but from what I remember, before Slain randomly became the main antagonist, he genuinely tried cared for and tried to save the princess but his advances were stopped by the vers empire as well as Inaho himself (who is a giant dickhead). His situation from beginning to end was vastly shittier than anyone else in the whole main cast, yet the portrayal of him in the end as a "bad buy" that deserves no pity is stupid after all he's been through. |

Taken off of reddit: They kept him as the scapegoat since ep 1 of season 1. I mean honestly they are extremely cruel. They left him NOTHING(no friends, family, allies). and the blamed him for EVERYTHING since season 1. He also failed in all of his plans ever and wont let him die. He never had a happy ending in store but i hoped he could get some relief. nope apparently he needed to fail to commit suicide thanks to the princess and our protagonist. Makes this exchange even more poignant, seeing as she was the one who got Inaho to spare Slaine. Asseylum: I do not need a reason to save someone. Lemrina: Such arrogance...the suffering of those you save never enters your mind, does it? Save Slaine from the chains of misery = Blame him for everything and put him in prison for the rest of his life? |
