| Hide and Kaneki Eto and her father Akira and suzuya both lose there friends Personally I thought the fight scenes were amazing and so much shit went down in this episode with Arima jumping in like a boss and he didn't even say a word I loved every second of it especially the ending and I don't just mean with Eto I mean all the things that happened at the end like with Hide saving Kaneki. But I have no clue what Touka is doing maybe she will have a bigger role in the final episode which I can't wait for it is going to be so good. |

I have actualy been thinking about this Hide stuff since the ending of the manga, you see, to me he always seemed to be this mysterous guy watching in the shadows. So the only reson i could come up with for him constantly being around ghouls is for him to be totaly obsessed with them. Also you have that flashback of him talking to kaneki about if he were a ghoul, if he would eat a certain girl from his class. Maybe he is obsessed with them to the point that he wants to be "just as powerfull" and wants to be a ghoul. (and maybe he is even jealous of kaneki) So when Noro saw him Hide was like "hey can't I join you? I'd make a good experiment for that doctor of yours. This is probably just my imagination running wild, but oh well, just thought I'd share it. |

| It was a great episode. Can somebody tell me how was it so obvious that Eto was The One Eyed Owl? She hasn't even been shown that much during the show. Only couple of scenes here and there. I had no idea she was The Owl before everyone started talking about it in the comments a few episodes back. I feel like only the manga readers think it's obvious because they knew about it all along. Also, what's the deal with this Arima guy? I don't remember him at all in the first season or the second. Did I just forget about him or is he just some random badass who came to do some damage? |

| This is by far one of the best Tokyo Ghoul Root A episodes imo. The Amon vs Kaneki was so intense and it was animated really well. Heck, the action scenes were really cool in this particular episode. Kaneki faces Hideyoshi at the end, oh man. x_x Eto is the manager's daughter and is also the One-Eyed Owl? Well hot dayum son! |

| I don't know...you guys are all talking about Arima and here I am, a non-manga reader, feeling stupid because of the lack of background of this character. Overall I think this adaptation is messed up, I feel like all this characters look like helluva lot strong, but they are empty inside. And this really sucks because the manga looks nice, with some interesting characters in it. |

| Sad no Centipede Kaneki. Looked like he was gonna use it durig the fight with Amon. Kinda pissed me off they put so much smoke screen during their fight too, guessing trying to save some budget. The CG ghouls were lols. |

I always thought it was due to the stress and a side effect as a ghoul. Never heard any real explanation or maybe I forgot, but it's probably the former. Edit: Also the Cafe part with Hide wasn't in the manga. |

| Even though the animation was a little wonky in some places, overall that was a great episode. Intense stuff. Juuzou fighting for his life for Shinohara, final battle between Kaneki and Amon, death(?) of Takizawa, Hide essentially revealing that he's known all along about Kaneki... and that final scene after the credits... phew. |

Mentioned in ep 1 of season 2, shown in the intro of ep 2 and mentioned, shown in ED cards, and mentioned in ep 9. He's been hyped since the beginning. |

| This season is going to end next week PLS DONT END Is amon dead? I don't want him dead : Kaneki's best friend rescued him and now what.. ITS SO EXCITING We have covered more this episode and I finally know who the owls are and everything. For me, if I read the manga, it's fun but watching it is more fun because of all the sound effects and the sparkly boom boom stuff. So that's why I usually watch anime over the manga and I don't want it spoiled. |

| I'm honestly disappointed. The animation continues to be pretty meh for some reason, Arima just arrives and starts owning Owl with almost zero mention of him beforehand, apparently there won't be V14 and Kaneki vs Arima, no Arata V2, no Kakuja Kaneki, the investigators on the roof except for Juuzou and Shinohara somehow got knocked down from Owl just landing, no ''matching legs'' (replaced with a cliche I-have-to-kill-you-no-matter-what-because-I'm-sad) and you gotta just laugh how Hide somehow survived getting spotted by Noro, even though he was wearing a CCG vest, so he was technically an enemy. The best thing about the episode was Amon vs Kaneki. Very creative way to animate it, the moves Amon and especially Kaneki were pulling were extremely appealing. The other good thing was the latter part of Arima vs Owl, that was done well. We also saw Tatara's kagune, even though we don't know if it's canon - it looked really awesome. Takizawa's ''death'' was okay. I guess Parasyte and Tokyo Ghoul made an agreement for their before last episodes to both be sub-par. Normally I'd say I liked it, but I think they could have done this much better. Where the hell is Touka running to all this time anyway? 3.5/5 |

| The anime had been following the manga somewhat closely, that I almost forgot this was supposed to be an alternate ending/route/whatever you wanna call it. Lotta unexpected deaths. Eto's reveal was as sexy as ever. |

| Wth they did to the greatness that was the ending of this arc... I liked some things (i.e Noro seeing Hide) but other were just awful. Why Amon doesn't react to the fact that Eyepatch is an one eyed-ghoul... That came out of nowhere. 2/5. |
