And of course, we can never be allowed to forget that Kirito exists and is the main character of the anime. Even in an Asuna-centric arc, Kirito is still the main character. >__>

(Really though, am I the only one who wasn't interested in his appearance? Like damn dude, can't you be off-screen for even one episode? Seriously...)

Asuna gets to meet the other members of Yuuki's guild, Sleeping Knight.
Asuna's mum pulled the plug while she was in AOL.
The fight between the other guild is gonna begin and
Kirito makes a last minute appearance.
Always making those awesome appearances.

Losing interest fast. Went back and forth between deciding to drop this twice during this episode. Kiritos last second appearance is only thing that made me decide to stick around next week.

Pretty decent episode. This arc has currently bumped up SAO's score to a 7/10 for me so far

I had to check how much time remaining cause I wanted an action-packed scene to come. At least it seems next week's episode will be full of it.

I expected Kirito to pull a Gandalf and say "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

Was disappointed.

I don't see why Kirito has to "fend" them off. The doors close automatically behind a group. How exactly it determines when to close when there aren't already 49 players inside is one thing, but that doesn't matter, they probably know that, and they just have to match the conditions.

Once the doors are closed, they shouldn't open until everyone inside is at least defeated, if not already back in the city. So Kirito just has to draw them away a bit. I don't think any on them will enter on their own, it's basically decided once the Sleeping Knights are inside, unless the big guilds decided to just throw another six parties in. Given that they didn't train together etc., even with Asuna, Yuuki and the others actively sabotaging the fight it will most likely result in a defeat, so they can go there again..and surely faster than this huge guild can. Maybe Kirito can take them along for a ride with his insane speed..

About Asuna's mother: She does mean well, but the definition of "well" is from her own point of view. Havings lots of money etc. surely doesn't hurt, but thats far from all there is. And who is to say Asuna (or Kirito for that matter) won't get lots of money from their jobs etc.?

Heck, Kirito could probably live from playing MMOs. Get people to pay him to (help) defeat a boss. $100 * floor. Or make it expontial, or see how desperate they are and negotiate accordingly. Where are they, 26th floor or so? $2600? Nice income. Heck, even 2600 Yen would be good, given how fast a boss is dead compared to most projects you'll be stuck with in a "real" job.

And his planned job, creating new VR gear..if he gets a share, or makes his own company, Asuna's mother will practicly beg him to marry Asuna, from a financial point of view.

Asuna's mother's logic also suffers from another flaw: While it's still "only" virtual reality, the people you interact with are no less real then when you talk with them on the phone or meet up in the pub.

If you are late, you are wasting people's time. They could after all, go play football with their friends or *gasp* study/work instead of waiting for people that never show up for the raid. If you can't make it, call as soon as you can, not just so you can do the raid or whatever some other time, but so *they* can reschedule other stuff.

Of course, Asuna knows that, she probably got stood up often enough. Her mother sems to believe that since it takes place in a virtual reality, nothing there is real, or at least not as real as other things. It doesn't matter that Asuna didn't have time to say goodbye to her friends etc - it wasn't real after all.

Somehow, talking over the phone, or e-mails, are real to such people, but once it comes to stuff they don't use, like, Teamspeak, Instant-Messengers, MMOs etc., it isn't, despite there still being people on the other side.

Heck, some people even do raids or ranked matches in LoL, SC2 or some shooters, but somehow, when a friend not involved with their games asked if they can watch the new movie or whatever, they don't even call that they can't make it. That they already have plans for that time slot, and should have said "sorry, can we watch the movie next week?", that thought doesn't appear to them at all..

Long rant, as i had my own share of that..nothing big, just enough..

Anyways, i liked this episode. The Alfheim arc was a bit weird, this is far better so far.

An okay episode with a badass end. That mother should just google ''successful parenting'' or something, guess what would've happened if she pulled the plug on Asuna while she was playing SAO.

I'm wondering how even Kirito stands a chance against that many people, but eh... we all know he does. An explanation on how he understood Yuuki's ''secret'' by just clashing swords a few times is something i'm definitely looking forward to, unless it gets swept under the rug, and we'll have to put it in the ''Kirito's just because feats'' category.

3.5/5

Can you imagine if Yuuki turned out to be... Asuna's mom? Hoping she would become closer to her daughter and/or see what she likes about the game so much. Best plot twist ever...

kirito just buying time for SK, fend off another 20 or so people behind so SK member can make it through the man in front.

Once the door closed, there's no way to enter the room.

if kirito not there it would be 7 SK members against 49 people which is would result the SK member being wiped out.

Everyone is complaining about Kirito's entrance and why did he came, I think it was so damn good and it showed that doesn't matter in which difficult situation Asuna is, she can count on him.

And yeah the episode was pretty good. I hope they'll make SOA III :(

Ps: And I say that beucase I watched it for 5-6 times (The last scenne) :D

First Asunas mother isn't Yuuki because she disconnected Asuna while she was with her in the game. Secondly yeah she is one hell of a bitchy mother but put it this way her daughter has joined the army at the age of 15-17 where she spent two years of her life risking death almost everyday It was a miracle she survived and then when she gets out after in her mothers eyes missing two years of her life she wants to miss more and go back to the war. When you look at it like that it is much easier to sympathize with her even so bitch telling Asuna who to marry.Which contradicts what she feels about Asuna missing out on 2 years.

Loved Asunas expression when she heard Kiritos voice because him showing up was my favorite part in that episode I could more or less care if he made an appearance but after that final seen I am so glad he did.

I really, really like Yuuki I wasn't sure at first but Iknow I am gonna really like her and judging by all the fucking hinting that probably isn't gonna be good for me.

Also maybe Yuuki is like Asunas sister other half or something like that but that's just the vibe I get from her.

Thank fucking god. I was REALLY giddy when they talked about their wipe like it's actual progression, and that's what made it feel like an MMO. Didn't have to see no boss fight, and it made it feel like a game now.

Asuna's mom needs some MMO courtesy, it's like pulling off someones head set wire. Not cool at all.

I LOVE Yuuki's voice, it just sounds lovely :3

Asuna's Mother being a complete bitch! Did she even know what she has done? Just unplugging Asuna like that, even though all she's been through in SAO and just how many people died that same way...that's got to be traumatizing.

Kirito making a BA entrance.

But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

I overall loved this episode.

Asuna's mother is such a conflicting subject. From one point of view, she is being completely insensitive to her daughter. Ripping the cord out of the Amusphere is really drastic. It's like she wasn't scarred by the fact that ripping the cord out of the nervegear would have killed her not too long ago. Rather than try to understand why Asuna keeps going back into the VR world despite being trapped in it for two years, she just gets angry.

On the other hand, she's also trying to do what she thinks is best for her daughter. Wanting her to successful isn't a bad thing but she's definitely not going about it in the right way. Wanting her to catch up on her studies (especially since she was an excelling student before the SAO incident) isn't exactly a bad thing but it's like she's forgetting about her daughter's own happiness.

Her mother has the best of intentions in mind but is failing due to how narrow minded her approach is. It sucks! I can't wait to see how this resolves.

Due to accidentally reading a spoiler on The Sleeping Knights, the feels might not hit me as hard as it originally would have but I'm still enjoying them! Yuuki is pretty amazing. I loved that she had the courage to step up to the asshat that was blocking them from entering the dungeon. It reminded me of Asuna in Aincrad. It was cool!

Kirito's entrance at the end reminded me again of why I love his character so much! Out loud before that happened, I said "it would be funny if Kirito came to the rescue" and when that happened I was in shock because I thought that this arc would be 100% Asuna! I also loved his clever line he used when describing the area as being "off limits" just as they had said before!

I wondered how people would feel about Kirito intervening. I thought that most would be upset that Asuna was "needing help from Kirito all the time" but it was interesting to see more people just enjoying Kirito being OP as always!

I personally didn't mind Kirito stepping in! Asuna helped a tad during the Phantom Bullet Arc so this is only fair, right?

The real-life drama is actually half way decent. SAO is improving very slightly as a result. The action is still shit though having like 3 frames a second and showing us very little of it. Also, too much talking in game. "There's nothing more boring than watching someone play an RPG". How about watching someone talking in an RPG? Oh, and Kirito had to show up. Can't have Asuna being too useful!
