Oh right, got the time an hour wrong.
So, thar we got a little background on the connection between Grevil and Jacqueline.
But really, that is one eccentric woman.
And Victo tries pretending to be a doll. Made me lol.

Ahem, anyway. Grevil looked kinda cool without that drill.
And then he had to ask Victo for help to save Jacquline, and DUN DUN DUN the drill was born.
Protip: I don't really check the forums anymore, so if you want something, take it on my profile.
Is it time for my long-awaited return to the forums? щ(゚Д゚щ) Nope™, probably not.

Very interesting conversation Grevil had with his father I think it was. Can't wait for more of this story to develop.

Also, Grevil looks badass without the Drill.

Edit: Rewatched the beginning, it was his father.

So, it seems that Victorique forced Grevil to wear that horrible hair style as compensation for helping solve Jacqueline's case...and to also hurt him. But, Grevil took the opportunity to set Victorique straight and made her cry!

Honestly, unless something major happens soon, I don't see myself lasting for 13 more episodes.

My opinion of Grevil skyrocketed this episode. I always found him very arrogant and annoying, but it seems like it's just a front. His actions showed that he truly cared for Jacqueline, and wanted her to find happiness, even at the cost of his own, a truly altruistic act. This has proven to me that Grevil is not as shallow as he first appears, and that he is in fact a very kind and honorable man.

Same. That really was cruel of Vic., to ask him to do that. It makes him look like an arrogant doofus.

Now, if she had been in that tower her whole life, how would she have been able to solve mysteries? If she'd always been sheltered, how does she know so much? She knew about writing left-handed without knowing the definition of "love"? Or is her "wellspring of wisdom" really something supernatural?

I think the reason she made the comment was that she had not heard it (love) addressed to her by any of the family. Quite clearly she has a better understanding of what it means now in her deredere moments when she forgets to be tsun.

And yes, Grevil did improve his reputation with this backstory episode, although it already appeared that he is much more favorably disposed towards Victorique than his father (and appears to understand the relationship between Kujou and her).
Please don't feed the trolls!

I actually liked this filler episode :D I already respected Grevil 2 arcs ago but this ep made it really deserving for him :D

Dammit, I want a Victorique doll NOW!!! XDD

^I may have an answer for that. If I remember correctly, there's an episode that she read books even though she was locked up in that castle. She read a lot of books just like she's reading many books at the same time in the library tower. Perhaps, she read too much detective novels or something that's why she could come up with answers XDD Love, on the other hand, is a word that couldn't explain by the definition itself that's why Victorique was so clueless XDD

this episode is WAY BETTER than Fractale's last episode in my opinion.

it definitely is worth the wait, and waiting for episode 12 starting now is torture. XD

Love can't be described by words, and w/ Victorique confined in that place since she was born, w/o even feeling love from her mother and other relatives., she definitely doesn't know it.

and on the questions about Victorique's deductions about the case, we only heard the "reconstructed" scenario, Glaviel and Victorique might have done things beforehand (talk, explanations, case details, character details, etc.) before Victorique reconstructed the case.
Simplistic beauty can't be appreciated by someone who looks for something grand in everything he watch.

I'm not 100% sure myself, but I don't think the drill itself makes Grevil suffer. I think it's a constant reminder of the case that made him give up his own happiness for the sake of the one he loved.

A reminder that he could not save the woman he loved by himself, and the fact it looks really damn stupid, lol.

But seriously, as shown in the flashback Victorique apparently didn't understand concepts like love or possibly even emotions, so she didn't know how to make him suffer and the hair was the only thing (a very childish thing) she could come up with.

Poor Grevil. :( Too bad Jacquline hasn't realized her feelings for Grevil before marriage (since it seems that she had feelings for him). Also, it seems that his father doesn't really care about his son. The man needs only Victorique because of her ability. :(
Next episode will have Avril! Yay!

Favorite episode of the show so far :)
Loved Victorique as a doll-pretend. Very cute.

Grevil's story was pretty sad. I don't really know who I should feel more sorry for, though: Grevil or Victorique. Grevil couldn't save the one he loved, and he selflessly allowed Jacqueline to marry someone else. But Victorique, for never knowing what love is being locked up. She helped Grevil with his case, and how Grevil thanked her after all these years was by condemning her by not understanding love.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

Yes, exactly. Everytime I start to like Grevil a little better, he does something cruel to Victorique to undo that opinion.
Calling her a grey wolf, saying she doesn't have a heart and doesn't understand what love is, is so cruel. He's well aware she's been locked up and isolated for ca. 7 years of her life, seperated from her mother.
He does seem to care for her, but he probably had the 'Victorique is the shame of our family' hammered into him to such a degree, that he cant help himself hurting her.

I can't stand Grevil.. this episode made me hate him even more. Calling Victorique a heartless gray wolf cause she didn't know what love was? For heavens sakes, his bastard of a family has had her locked up away from everyone and everything. Sure Grevils past is "sad", but not really that much so. He uses Victorique just to further the honor of his family, as he even said. I don't really like the stereotypical goth loli, but that was pretty messed up.

This episode showed one of the strongest points about this series. Even though the mysteries have lacked any depth to them, the character's do have interesting back stories and I love how they interact with each other.

Of course everyone feels sorry for Grevil, since his past was quiet interesting but why keep Victorique locked up in a dungeon to never hear the word "love"? That seems strange to me...I want Grevil to have his old hair style, it suits him better.

So now we know why Grevil has that weird hair style.
I wonder if Victorique will ever ask him to stop wearing it personally i thought Grevil looked better with the long hair.
I am also wondering if Grevil and Victorique have any more siblings judged by there background story and there weird father this might be very possible.

Grevil's behavior at Victorique was kind of odd he knows now that Victorique's mother was innocent and his behavior towards Victorique changed tho that scene between them seemed to suggest otherwise.
There father seemed like a very strange person the short moment we saw him and what we heard from him, i wonder how he got that way.

And then there is Jacqueline who is a very interesting person she is very playful and it's nice to know that she is the woman Grevil loves.
I wonder if Grevil can get over her and find a other girl he likes but time will tell i guess.

I'm still confused. So his consequence for Victoria telling him what really happened was that he had to have that hairstyle? Is it something that he has to maintain on his own? or is it just always there? I'm confused? Could he just one day decide not to have it be a drill?!

Yes, because Victorique helped Grevil out, he has to have his hair like that. From the ep, it looks like the hairstle doesn't bother him at all, so I think he'd keep his hair like that, unless if V. tells him to change it back or something. What WOULD'VE bothered him would be to "stop loving Jacqueline", but since V. didn't know what love was (at the time...) she couldn't have made him do that.

Anyways, my opinions on Grevil keep on changing... At the parts w/ coollonghair!Grevil and Jacqueline I'm all like "aww" and :D, but then when he becomes a jackass ('kay, harsh words, but whatev) to Victorique, I'm like DD:

Greveil is such an annoying bastard. But he actually seemed far better when he was younger... with his hair down.

Now he says stupid things like you have no heart? He used that event to conclude she has no heart.

But I guess being stupid he can't put into context that Victorique was a little girl trapped in a place and would know nothing of humane feelings because the people who should really be taking care of her never showed her a sign of those feelings and are incarcerating her as if she was some kind of monstrosity.

Victorique in that case is the most superior human in that whole place.

I really didn't expect Greveil to be so harsh without knowing what he's talking about.... But I guess he's just any other arrogant man. Unlike Kujo who is just naturally clueless about everything.

Looking forward to the next episode then I guess.

Nice to see Grevil and Jacqueline more, I like both of them. I think he looks better with his current hairstyle actually lol XD Plus he looked super cool when he was talking to Victorica lol :3
So Victorica's gained feelings? Uh ... OK lol
Mystery was not a mystery at all. Obviously it looked like a P, and obviously she wrote it on her arm and they did not "magically appear". Don't quite know the motive for why she killed the vet guy so I wouldn't say it's obvious who the killer would be ...
Avril next episode? Yay! :D
