| AnoHana Movie I was pretty excited because of the high rating, but wow. While the recap was done well and integrated smoothly, it got old pretty quickly. It was a cute supplement to build on more of the characters' emotions, but in the end it felt kind of pointless. I couldn't help but think that the whole thing could've been done with in an OVA with just light recap and all the new scenes. |

| 2012 version of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I probably would never have gotten into it if someone hadn't shown me its second OP. I had no idea that it was so... fabulous. Plus, I really wanted to see the context behind that vampire squirrel. |

| death note rewrite the summary gave me the impression that it'd... well, have more original content than it did. the first episode was kind of dry (and so long, sigh), but the second one was enjoyable. naturally recaps are going to crop scenes--a lot of scenes (that i enjoyed the first time around), but the fast pace still made it enjoyable enough. 8/10 |

| darker than black S2. the ending was so upsetting, that I went and read a fan-fiction (witch I never do) with a setting immediately following the last episode where they *spoil* make yin (main love interest) survive and live happily ever after instead of dying to save the world, then I convinced myself that was how it actually ends. otherwise I get terrible ban-ending-sickness. like I was legitimately nauseous as I started to read. similar to car sickness :x |
