MC is f**king assassin not dumbf**k person who lives in that village they burned down. She have to be the way she is as an assassin. If you expect an assassin to talk much then You're so wrong and don't understand what assassin job is. What you expect from anime that promote a game? It have to be bland on story because You have to play the game. This anime is only to create a curiosity to play the game, show some cool character and moves that You can do in game. It have to be serious because game is serious too and it's for adults. I played this game and i watched 1st episode of this show. As anime from gonzo this is ok. I don't expect more than this what it is right now.

I actually thought it was very good, loved that there is this much blood and killing when it's only the first episode. Look forward to the next.

The sole purpose of this anime is to advertise the game, not to sell. It served that purpose pretty well because I'm certainly going to try the game.

I love how all the people here, who hate on the game are all the people from NA with a bad connection that can't dodge an attack if there life depended on it. Well good riddens, less noob trolls in the game to deal with. And for everyone waiting for the game to come out in the west, don't hold your breath, they aren't planning a release at all, just look at BnS EN site, it hasn't been updated at all in months. Even if it does get released the game will flop there because the community in the games released in NA suck donkey anuses.
As far as the anime is concerned, I'm not sure why they created a random protagonist, with a story that includes some characters from the game(inn manager, chick at the bar with rifle, eye patch swordswoman and the main antagonists). And I'm butthurt the main character is an assassin(at the lake she shadow steps behind the guy.) It would have been more entertaining with a KFM, but I'm just biased. It was entertaining to see the bullet blocks though, you can do that ingame :D
I feel like this would have been alot better if they fleshed out the lore of the game, for example the four races are based on the four heavenly kings, similar to the four holy beasts(dragon, phoenix, tiger and turtle) or provide story about the 8 disciples.
In all I was expecting more from this, especially if they were using it to advertise the release of the game in JP.

Maybe you can try watching 3 more episodes to make your final decision, that's what I do, otherwise you may miss something that is good.

I do regret though for watching some anime all the way till the end, even though I already lost interest in them , complete waste of time.

I am not the type to drop the anime after 1st episode so yeah, gonna give it a few more episodes.

I quite liked that Koga (was it his name?) guy, shame he died in one punch :D

This looks to be an all-girls cast, nothing wrong in that, especially since main character is silent, not whining and yelling all the time.
Let's see what next episodes bring on the table.

Not sure what's with all the haters *shrug* I loved the first episode, and will definitely be watching the season. It's like FREEZING in a fantasy setting, with all the tits and the badass hot girls. Hooray for Ecchi!

Wow, first episode and the girl already cut her hair? Looks pretty ugly too.

The action in this is sooo unrealistic. And it's hard to tell when it's set b/c it seems kind of medieval but the characters have guns.

Also, did anyone else notice how some of the girls' noses were slightly darkened? I found that kind of annoying.

Oh, so you are actually going to talk about the anime. Honestly this should have been your entire post, but instead you went out of your way with your superiority complex to be a dick to NA people over a video game.

Don't judge an anime after watching the first episode, first few episode are usually introductions of the characters and story line.

I think it was solid first episode, only a bit to fast paced.
Other then that it was quite good.

The art isn't as bad as most people are saying. It has an older style to it. The opening is nice. The combat escalates quickly and is a bit appealing.

If you enjoy fan service, action, older art style and an obvious story this anime is good. If you're picky, may as well not even start it.

I'd also like to add that the main character not talking much kind of adds an element from it like most MMO video game main characters. They almost never talk.

Not sure what everyone is complaining about, I quite liked it. Or rather it was way better than I expected, the lack of fanservice surprised me :O
Also some are saying, ugly characters? What? All I see is beautiful woman, pretty much the same designs from the game. And bad plot? I think most people are just blindly hating on this just cos it's Gonzo..or are you people expecting them to reveal every single thing in one episode?

I think I prefer the long hair :|

Most game->anime adaptions are pretty mediocre in my book. They can never manage to cram the game's whole content into a mere 12 episodes. But that aside, the opening gave away the plot, really. You have silver-haired MC girl fighting against a bunch of cool looking rivals, and in the end she will have a final face-off with the main antagonist girl.
The story just isn't interesting for me and I'm better off watching shows I actually want to watch. I won't call the anime bad, but simply something not meant to be watched by me.

I agree with some people here.. Don't judge (giving comment & put an official rating at MAL) an anime based on 1st ep, that's just ridiculous.. If it's not your thing and genre just drop it, there are some anime just not for you.. Also the word generic and cliche is an overused word these days, just because it had some similarities doesn't mean it's generic.. #sigh

back to the topic, I have watched 6 diferent shows this season and I have to say although this show is not bad and it's quite good actually, this show made the least impression for me compare to other 5..

I cannot bring myself to rate anime that I have completed below 5. Well, it just because I have use up my precious time to watch it. so, the worse you will get from me is 5 (changes may apply)

Err...The only fanservice I recall are the somewhat skimpy outfits, sure provocative but it's no Witchblade (whattya know another Gonzo work), bath scene, and her walking around in nothing but a cloak. Needless to say I wouldn't call it excessive.

The plot and main character seem somewhat generic. I never seen or heard of the original work it's based off of, but that's what happens if you make adaptations of games. Who knows maybe both will flesh out as the story goes on.

Oh come on folks, Gonzo ain't that bad...FMP, Welcome to the NHK...Strike Witches, that butchering of Rosario Vampire and...Gantz...OK, never mind.

Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

I dunno whats up with all the negative comments, the only reason I can imagine why one wouldnt like this anime (if I'm judging from this very first episode) is if you don't like fighting anime. I really liked this episode so I'm very pumped to see the next episode already! The drawing were GOOD and so were the animation, I dunno about the story yet but we are following one who have been set up by someone and seeks revenge cuz of that, decent story I guess. But if you like fighting I would really recommend you to follow this anime! I know I will :)

After starting and watching 2 Episodes, I sorta like it in a way I guess.
Action scenes are nice but highly unrealistic. The story kinda sucks ( if there even is one ) and the setting is pretty unique and attractive I gatta say.
The fan service and art is also a plus.
Overall, imma give the anime a few more episodes to air and decide whether if i'm going to drop this Anime or not.
If it takes a turn for the worse, #Latah!
If Gonzo continues what they did in Episodes 1 and 2, likely gana stay due to me being a huge fan of animations~
