I work part-time at Gamestop. Started out as a seasonal job last November so it's been over a year now, then they kept for part-time work. It's my first real job as well, I couldn't have been any happier when I got the job. Especially what a pain in the ass the whole interview session was.

You should put both of those things on your resume and see what happens.

How do I create 400 years of previous employment?

I sell mushrooms and bio stuff. Pretty cool.

And I have various not so cool part time jobs.

Can't wait to graduate, so instead of cleaning up other people's shit and cry, I can clean up other people's shit and cry with a degree.

Lucky to have a job, thought i'd never get one at 20 years old with no previous experience.

I work at a camping store, selling camping gear, kayaks, backpacks, etc etc. Not a bad place, but it's a retail job so you get dumbass customers, customers who gives you a hard time and I occasionaly mess up.

I do hate the types of customers who you can just tell haven't bothered looking around themselves for the stuff they need.

Sadly not, we have never had much money during my childhood, and we only got our company since of recent years ( think about 4 now ? ).

In those years we have grown to be one of the biggest in my country specialised in these products we sell ( may sound weird... but ye nail art products XD )

So please don't say shit unless u know more thanks ;)

I see it as it is kid...your quote said your spoon-fed so I'm going to presume your spoon-fed. Had you added the rest of that sob story in the beginning I may have said otherwise...

Guess there are several ways to read a certain line, i meant i'm quite happy with my current position seeing how hard it is to get a decent job out there right now.

And it's not a sob story either, we were just normal ppl :), Still are ( not like it made me super duper rich that i don't have to do anything anymore lol xD )
We still work 6 days a week full time for that cash :p

U seem more the kid here then me hehe

Have a good day ^-^

Isn't that your job though? Why should customers have to waste time searching the store when they can just ask where it is and go straight to item they want.

I don't mind helping customers, but it's those that will walk straight past five displays with the item they want on it just to ask someone that works there where that item is that the commenter is probably talking about. We get those types in my bookstore a lot.... if it's something that's really popular it's usually on a display when you first walk in, on an endcap down the main aisle, probably on the new york times bestsellers that you ALSO walk past on the way to customer service, and sometimes on the service desk itself. But people are idiots.

I'm an Operations supervisor at a home enhancement/DIY store. I spend most of my time in front of a computer performing database wizardry. I'm one of the few females who work there, which is often overlooked since I look like a guy in my cargo pants and safety shoes. My uniform is always dirty from using the paint-mixing machine or pottering around in the warehouse trying to locate some rogue stock.

Hopefully I'll be teaching next year though, the job is OK but I don't want to be stuck doing it forever.

I have a part-time job at my university calling parents and alumni and asking them for their money (donations to the school). I feel bad whenever I have to ask annoyed parents for donations when they already are paying craploads for tuition to a money-grubbing school, but oh well... the pay is decent for a low-level part-time job.
