We clearly see that , in Acchi Kocchi , there should be some romance but it is shown just how one person feels for another and no real romantic relationship development . As some of us may have noticed, Hachiman's monologue in episode 9 has a certain similarity to your problem. You imposed your (completely unfitting) expectations onto the series and got enraged over it not fitting into the pattern you expected it to have. In this situation, you should be following Hikigaya's example and realize that you have no one but your own self to blame. Ok guys, don't mind me. No need to hold back. | Just because it's set as a genre doesn't mean it's necessarily true. You could set Naruto as a sports anime for example and people would give it a 0/10 for lack of sports when it isn't a sports anime. ie. If you came into this anime looking for romance you will be gravely disappointed, but I enjoyed it a lot for what it was and not what it was "supposed" to be. |

From the first episode to the last there was no real progress or growth within the characters. Honestly I don't see what their is to enjoy about a show with, No Romance, Action, Drama, or Comedy. About the only positive thing that I will give this show is the dialogues which were interesting at times but without these other elements all your left with is a boring mess. | Honestly, I loved this series but the detractors have a point. This show got worse as it went on and when you saw some development in episode 8 romantically, it dissolved into complete and utter shit from episodes 9 to 12. This show WAS meant to have some romantic features and it did have them, why the fuck else would Yukino's sister keep hinting at them needing to get together and her grilling Yui about her relationship with Hachiman and then having an entire episode (8) devoted to Yui and Hachiman almost getting together... I haven't watched episode 13 yet and I will only watch it if they decide to make a season 2. If that never happens Yahari was the Toradora 2013 that never was. Slice of life is complete and utter shit and a backdrop to what could have been amazing... I laughed at someones review in here saying they wouldn't wish this show on their worst enemy but I see some truth in it, the characters and the premise were so good until the long drawn out slice-of-life stories ruined everything with no conclusion... If this doesn't get a season 2 my rating: 4/10 If this does have a season 2 then my rating is: 9/10 Character rating: 10/10 (They are my background for my anime list) Simply because if this anime was 24 episodes and headed in the direction it should have I know that I would have given it 10/10. I honestly can't believe episodes 9 to 12 as a satisfactory ending and if you enjoyed this looking back at it you are delusional. I love the characters and the original story that was building in the first episodes... I just hate what the series has done to me after I hadn't fallen in love with a series for months if not years, barely watching anything during this time. |

| Hikigaya is so bad to himself. It is kinda funny to me, yet also sad. Hope to get more background on Yukino. She is my favorite character in this series with her smart remarks and bluntness. |

| Fascinating show. Interesting commentaries and remarks on the various aspects of personal and social relationships that were both balanced and well written. The characters represented their personalities in an enjoyable but realistic way; they were distinct while sharing subtle similarities, making the show connect on a more general and relatable level. The good pacing and wonderful themes only made the experience better. A great series. Looking forward to the OVA, and hopefully more. |

| A really good and enjoyable anime. You could see that the auther had his hands on the last episode because it was as enjoyable as the adaptions. I really hope there will be another season, though it will take a long time since the light novels are done so far. :/ |

| Enjoyable light episode, from what I've read it's just some kind of filler thing, supposedly the main story "ended" at episode 12. I was hesitant to watch this but I ended up giving it a try, hooked after some episodes and then I find out it just recently aired, first thought: "fuck, not this again". This anime was the first anime that's been aired very recently, usually I'm going through things prior to 2010. Now I'm in that annoying position of not knowing if it will have any more and if it does, there will be the waiting game. With the usual anime I watch, I can quickly go through continuations and find out if the show really is over or not, being in the dark sucks. |
| Great episode, some truly funny moments, especially the Totsuka part. Though some of it was symbolic I think: that Hiki will always do something in self sacrifice, but it could backfire and/or cause trouble for the people close to him. It's subtle, but I like how it was implemented. It seems that Mr. loner that no one notices is starting to make waves with his seemingly lonely tactics. |

| Also, it's good to see a show that manages to be funny yet deal with serious social issues without either going down a depressing NHK style route or derailing into cliche'd romantic drama. Few shows have managed to captivate me with witty dialogue, tension that wasn't overly dramatic and well rounded characters as well as this anime did. I give this a 10/10, not because it's 'perfect' but because this is one of the few animes that starts off with a purpose and sees it to the end, especially with the powerful episode 12. In recent years too many animes have dried out jokes with their frustrating tsundere characters or unfair situations, comedy with no balance or rom-com with no closure. This anime started with a great modern concept that didn't lose it down the line (like Oreimo did; amazing starting concept, but deviated so much), and with serious dramatic moments that don't make the viewer uncomfortable but still deliver a message. Great stuff |

| Rather a disappointing ending for this show, while the whole concept was pretty good it did lacked a proper romance development and a proper atmosphere, the pace was somewhat decent but it did lack a couple of points, I do not know if they'll proceed with the story but if they would they should seriously focus more on the romance development then something else... In general not a bad anime but could've been much better! |

| It was mediocre at best. While there was so many random, yet hilarious moments, I wanted more development between the characters. Since we didn't get a ending, I'm willing to bet on a season 2. I loved the battles of intelligence that took place. Overall: 5/10 |

| I like this series overall but, this was a weak episode and it's the last too. It gave me the "It ended? I don't even.." feeling. Just hanging like that. Oh well. I just look forward to the OVA. Anyway, 9/10. I hope there's a chance for a sequel. |
