The anime, though faithful, is badly made.

Should do a reboot instead

Yeah I guess, but I personally think it'd be a lot smarter for them to air it on TV as not as many people have seen that OVA, and she ends up being a very important character.

Is that even really necessary? It's their own fault if they haven't seen the OVA. Probably they'll re-introduce her like what they did on the first episode of season 2 that they re-introduce the events of season 1 for those "who haven't watch" it.

Plus, on the trailer(At the last few minutes of the final episode of season 2), it's not hinted that Tenri's arc is included on the incoming next season.

Including Tenri arc in season 3 is waste of time. They should animate another character arc rather than Tenri since the OVA is good enough.

I heard that when he first got the offer for an anime, Wakaki was given the choice of a lower-budget ongoing series, or a higher-budget 1-cour show. He chose the latter.

As much grief as the uncertainty of future seasons has caused me, I'm glad he made that choice, really.

I guess that'd work too, it'd just be kinda awkward cuz it takes place at the end (if 1-cour) or in the middle (if 2-cour) of the season. Although, she does appear at the end of season 2. It's Tsukiyo, Minami, Reiko, Sumire, and Tenri that show up in the teaser.

Still, if it doesnt cover until past the goddess arc this season isn't gonna be so good.

I think the higher budget is better in the long run. Given that this show is guaranteed sequels but with indefinite gap in between doesn't mean its all that bad. And wth goddess arc? Thats like 5th or 6th season. The goddess arc should be the ongoing in this case. Prior to the goddess arc, it is just story to story that's why there will be a good conclusion to each season.

Although I hate to say this but 1 cour with sequels is best for this series. I don't want ugly female characters and Keima if they go with low budget.

Yeah I don't understand why people think that. I mean, it'd be cool to have the story long running, but if we have a choice between higher quality or lower quality, I don't see a reason for going with low quality, especially as this season shows, the anime will most likely keep going despite lower sales. And why do people think they're gonna skip to the goddess arc? I mean, there's three (including Tenri) holders to introduce still, not to mention the exposition towards the goddess arc, the conquests that have little bits of the goddess stuff which lead to Keima figuring out who has the goddesses, and introducing Akari. There's just too much stuff in there for them to skip...

I think you're exaggerating with 5th or 6th season. But, still I see what you're coming from, but this show needs sales, to continue, and tbh for the stuff that would go down this season, I don't think that it would sell that much. I also heard that the Kaminomi DVDs is struggling with sales already, but I could be misinformed so, I'm not too sure about that. Like the other guy said, this series could probably still run without good sales.

It is true that TWGOK is struggling with sales but they managed to hit a bit higher from average. Not a good thing for business and it is already a miracle that this new season is green lit. Making this an ongoing series doesn't mean it will get better sales... Might end up bad as Beelzebub.

Although I am INCREDIBLY eager for this summer now, I'm really worried for how they'll format the show. Like how will they connect the show with the Tenri ova? They skipped Minami and Tsukiyo because of it, and Tsukiyo is a big part of the Goddess arc. Unless they'll be making a 26 episode long season, they better make the wait worth it.

I don't think a 2 cour is enough unless they condense/rush things out which is never good. Goddess arc started at ch.116 and ended at ch.189.

Although I hate to say this but 1 cour with sequels is best for this series. I don't want ugly female characters and Keima if they go with low budget.

Unfortunately, this show (and any anime really) is not guaranteed anything. The reason there are indefinite gaps is because the production company is waiting to see how DVD and BR sales do. If they sell well, then they consider animating another season. As you may have heard, Kami Nomi didn't do very well both times at bat but its saving grace was that the manga is decently good seller (top ten I'm pretty sure). So they decided to do a few Kanon concerts and the Tenri OVA to "test the waters" if you will and decided it has enough potential to restart it. If this season doesn't do well I'm pretty sure it will spell the death of Kami Nomi anime. And, if the anime is as slow as it has been, we won't get nearly far enough to make the anime stand out more than "this nerd captures girls with a demon". We might get an obligatory OVA or two but that'll be it. As much as I LOVE Kami Nomi (and trust me, I freakin LOVE Kami Nomi), if this season doesn't do a better job at getting people interested in something other than just a somewhat different harem, it's over.
