| I'm not sure what think about it.. First half was really amazing. When they start learn about our culture was hilarious. But then.. the timeskip made it horrible! [rant] Why you did that! Without any character introduction you threw this two amazing characters into cliché anime comedy. Maou lost all his cruelty and become generic main character who gives damn umbrellas to randomly met girls... WHY [/rant] I feel like I watched the first half of the episode 1 and then jumped to the 3rd one. You can't do that! |
| the beginning was kinda weird due to the unknown weird sounding languages. once that got out of the way it was amusing. not a bad watch at all. |

| holy crap those first scenes of fantasy magic and fighting are top notch awesomeness. I'd love to see one anime with that kind of animation. One of the best shounens I've seen lately. Damn almost missed out on this anime because I'm biased against shounens. Funny anime, will watch more. |
| Nice comedy I was going in with very low expectation because it is a '' Demon lord'' anime but I found it interesting will definitely keep watching 4/5 . |

| Fairly enjoyable for a first episode. For a newcomer to Earth, that demon king is impressively adaptable (after finding a job). The entire Maou act was going smoothly until he gave away the umbrella to the "girl" (My issue is that he's being extra nice to humans even when he didn't need to be). Turns out, the girl was his archenemy from his world, who I presume followed him all the way there to hunt him down. I also liked the existence of a language barrier in this anime (at least in this episode), unlike lazy handling in other shows where characters from different countries/worlds can already communicate right off the bat without any problem. I wonder if the language they used was an actual language or just constructed gibberish. |

| This show is hilarious. The slapstick humour was really well done. Cute red-haired girl. Except she looks evil after it's revealed she is Emilia the Hero. lmao BTW, they picked up Japanese and Japan's culture so fast. |

| I saw the first five minutes and thought "crap, this is going to be like Maoyuu Maou Yuusha again isn't it?" Fortunately, it got better after the 5 minutes of action. Maoyuu's mistake, to me, was creating a long and complex war about people I didn't care about, while timeskipping the hell out of the background, character development, and romance for the characters I did care about (the hero and the demon lord). But this anime seems to have a heavy focus on the individual characters and their quirks, which I think is what's going to make the difference. I already see myself feeling attached to the adorable idiosyncrasies of the demon lord, in a way I never felt for the Maoyuu characters. |
| What can we think about Dark Lord Satan after watching the beginning of the first episode? His name truly fits him. "Dark Lord" - he is powerful, strong and dangerous because of his dark appearance. However... Our powerful and strong lord become a sweet boy who works in a McRonald. Moreover, he seems to be good in his job and fond of doing it a little bit, besides the fact that some days ago he was a king. It's a quite good and funny idea. It was better episode than I’d supposed it would be. |
| Wow! I actually loved this episode! I was a little worried at first, but glad I picked it up :D Loved the beginning animation with the fight scenes. SO AWESOME! Maou and Ashiya are hilarious ... especially when they arrived speaking their ridiculous language XD Plus starting up their human life ... finding rent (MIKITY OMG) and jobs ... working at McRonald's! LOL XD I love Ashiya so much already, especially when he KNEELED DOWN ON THE STREET OMG I ship it Chiho is pretty funny too :P So the girl is actually the Hero?! Uh oh ... not sure I like where this is going D: Looks like she'll be popping by to visit next episode ... Didn't really like the ED that much. I guess it was OK ... and well, nano.RIPE does have a unique sound to them, but yeah :P |

| Great mix of plot and comedy, very nice introduction episode. Usually these kind of shows get very bland and lame later on when the initial "plot" is completely forgotten. Hopefully this one'll be different. |

| I honestly enjoyed this way too much. It went from an extremely epic opening, to something super hilarious. Everything was executed REALLY REALLY well! Definitely a favourite of this season! |

| Quite an interesting series!!! The story of the Hero and the Demon Lord reminded me of 'Maoyuu Maou Yuusha'. It started very decently at the start and somehow they ended up on earth unexpectedly. They also seem to be speaking some kind of weird language and I loved that police scene especially where Alsiel was eating Katsudon when the Demon Lord just barged in the door. Seems like that Emilia the Hero is also on earth for some reason!? Looking forward to this series!! 5/5 |

Also don't forget that immediately before and for a month or so latter, Japan and the Tokyo region had fairly large earthquakes every single day. People were getting sea sick from rolling of the land. I forgot the exact stat but in addition to the 9m there were something like 80 6.0 or greater aftershocks. You either get used to that or you move. |
