Meh, Mio isn't really one of my favs in LB crew. The new seiyuu for Mio isn't bad either. Overall, she reminds me off Takanashi Rikka for some reason.

This ep really followed up the VN nicely. Definitely can't wait for the Test of Courage minigame on the next ep.

Dat OST at around 8 mins<3. I personally didn't notice much of a change from mio seiyuu, but maybe because I haven't gotten to her route in the Little busters VN, will be after I finish Kuds.

Dat Test of courage, can't wait to laugh<3

The episode was pretty nice. Mio finally makes an appearance!! The episode was animated quite well actually. Like Yume said, I didn't even know how much time passed by and it already ended. Mio is my favorite character of the series so far and she was so cute at the end. She was acting all shy when thanking Kuruguya, Riki and the other girl. Seems like Mio joined the Little Busters! The next episode is a test of courage. I'm hoping for some jumping on Riki scenes or scenes of Mio getting scared. :)

Pretty good episode, better than I thought it'd be. There was nice depth and a nice moment at the end when someone returned Mio's book.

But seriously thank god the intros are finally over, now something can hopefully happen? Though I won't hold my breath for that next episode. Definitely an enjoyable episode this week however.

One of the best episodes so far. This isn't a 50 hour VN its a 26 episode show, obviously some things need to be truncated, complain all you want about missing scenes or things cut short, what VN to anime adaptation didn't have things removed? none.

A lot of my favorite Kyousuke scenes were missing but not much I can do about that, I can just hope for more in future episodes!

Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio, Mio,
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Now that I got that out of my system I can comment properly.

As for the searching book scene, many actually complained how they just started it Mio already told him to stop, they searched long enough. I see two possibilities there: That's a part of her character, she really thinks they looked for it long enough, already loosing hope. Or simply wrong translation, she didn't want to bother Riki and because of all that she explained afterwards :D

I see many people complain about it not being faithful to VN, tho it actually is. It's impossible to add all of the details into anime.

That poem, beautiful as it is, creates a mental image in my head. Image of a swan floating with the stream, in this boring world... He is tied by this world and can't spread his wings.

Well, that was surprisingly good. The most interesting character so far!

I do hope the plot goes somewhere soon though. Feels like a whole bunch of filler (including next episode) with none of the characters being explored in depth (past Komari's anyway).

The cynicism was pretty high up there during that book moment. Totally expecting it to be a prank rather than a misunderstanding.

Emotional drama's,unique style comedy, weird character self narrations!
Although for 9 episodes i have found little busters lack something!i think i am a little bit more satisfied with this episode!relaxing atmosphere, calm lonely expressions!HMMM!

There are times that you can call it as a filler even it's on the source. By that, you can say I agree with him.

I believe Komari's path wasn't so emotional like in the VN because they skipped the common path to have some drama in the first episodes. But now common path helps the friendship bond between characters and when there will be a path more people will enjoy it.
It's not a perfect adaptation and I agree with users who can see differences from game to anime, but I'm still liking it. Not the Little Busters! I wished to see, but still a decent anime.
If you don't like the characters yet, I have to recommend the LB 4-koma manga, it's funny and it will not spoil you the story.

Expect the plot to thicken on episode 12 or 13 as the character routes must start at those episodes as each character route is 3 episodes except for 1, which will be 4. (which is 13 episodes)

Trust me everyone who are complaining about these filler episodes, the plot will get better and pick up the pace. Right now we're still in the common route episodes, an arc that defines and establishes the bonds between the characters - something that we need to give a big impact for later if you guys will stick around.

In this rate, I guess we'll start the routes approx. at the beginning of winter. Common route is long, afterall.

That's why the option to insert Komari very early is a dual edged sword. They're kind of sacrificing her route prematurely to be able to slip a taste of the characters route to the middle of common route.

Anyway, it's a pretty good episode although I could see if people think this one is boring. But it's similar with the VN, no complain from me. Some foreshadows are also nice, although it's a kind of long investment for new viewers.

However, I'm just worried that people are going to harsher at critics when we're approaching the character routes, since the character introductions are done and people will start to expect the real story to show up. I'm hoping for Rin 1 to come first.

Pretty alright episode, even though Mio's introduction and recruiting to the team went somewhat fast in this episode, and I was missing a certain soundtrack at some point of the anime as well. Like come on, "Approaching The Light" soundtrack could have fit in Mio's scenes.

I am also like some others getting tired of all these"Spandex butt" shots we're seeing multiple times in the anime, come on JC Staff, really?

Either way, I'm really looking forward to the next episode. It's going to be some fun!

I've been very underwhelmed by this series despite the hype but I've watched too many episodes to drop it now.

Can anyone tell me whether the series is lilkely to pick up in terms for drama/story? I was recommended that this series has the same feel as AnoHana but at this moment in time, it is lightyears from being even close!

Eventually. It doesn't really come together until Refrain, which is miles away right now. It depends on what you want. There is plenty of great drama and story in each of the girls' routes, but the best part is Refrain. Depends on what you're looking for. The girls or the big thing, the secret of the world that comes much later.

EDIT: If you are looking for something that is just interesting, and not boring shit like episodes 8 and 9 were then just wait for the episodes that contain a girl's route to start, like Mio's in this episode. If you want some super sad drama and stuff, wait until the final few episodes of these 26 air.

The same question week after week...

Lets go straight to the point: this adaptation pales compared to the original, to the point that even most anime-only watchers can't find the enjoyment expected from a Key series (because yeah, VN fans are the hardest to please). Messed pacing and characters badly portrayed are just some of the problems.

If you don't like the characters/pacing/whatever until now, I don't think you will enjoy the drama. But then I strongly recommend the VN so you can see by yourself why this was so hyped by Key fans.

(people complaining about my complaints in 3, 2, 1...
but then, I guess this is the last time I'll bring all my bitching to episode threads. Everyone knows what I think, so I'll just keep lurking around the weekly threads without posting too much. Enjoy the show, guys.)

Comparing this to the VN is like comparing movie adaptations to the original book, of course it's going to change and/or miss things.

I'm enjoying the series as is so far and when it's finished I'll play the VN then.

I'm guessing they've got all the members assembled now they have enough players to form a team right?

I'm watching this episode right now and I have to ask: Did anyone else get a serial killer vibe from Mio?

The way she sat there, motionless and without a real look in her eyes.. just a blank stare as she talked about how she hates birds because they "always fly away without a word to me," just made her look like she was going to kill someone.

For the first time JC Staff screwed up and ended up having something good come from it.

EDIT: Just finished the episode. That was very good. It's been a few weeks since a good episode in this show. Can't wait to see more. The routes really make this show good when JC Staff fucks up everything else. The animation wasn't bad (except the serial killer comment above) and this is actually going somewhere. I agree with that sleeping entity guy about Mio though. They left out the crying part and such, which would have been nice.

That's really what I've been doing since the start of this series. Since I am an anime only watcher, I just lurk these threads and read all the spoilers. I don't like posting on these threads because the amount of negativity and whining about even the tiniest things on here turns me off. We get it, people, you don't like J.C. Of course a lot of things will be lost; the most important would be get a grip of the essential and fit it in a good pacing for anime format. So my true problem isn't with things that are left out; basically is what I posted at episode 09 thread.

I know that nonstop negativity turns people off, and that's why I'll stop whining for the same problems every thread. But on the other side, some people think that every, every attemp of criticizing some points of the show are just baseless nitpicking - and this pisses me too.
I mean, c'mon, this is a discussion forum. Of course there are many tasteless trolls posting crap at MAL forums, but there are people just trying to show their honest opinions. If this place were supposed to be a place just for praising shows, it would be meaningless.

tl;dr people can criticize and should make good use of forums to share opinions, but repeating the same things over and over os bothersome.
And that's why I'm temporarily out of the cycle of sharing opinions weekly. I'll be back to discussion when my opinions of this anime get some substantial change.

I feel like I set my expectations too high with all the hype and the knowledge that this is another Key anime. After I heard that J.C. About the bitching... It's not that we simply hate JC Staff. It's the fact that they like any sort of talent and continually fuck up the show because they just don't know what they're doing. We all know there is bad animation, music placement, the storyline is inconsistent and all but I mean think about it...

Clannad had a sort of "theme" which was the song "Nagisa." It played commonly throughout the series and it identified it, sort of like "Hello Zepp" is kind of the theme for the Saw film series, etc. etc. Think about it this way. The one song they play in every episode (besides the OP/ED themes) that usually plays for a good 1000 min is a track they never even used in the VN.

This show's main fucking theme is "Unused Track." The only good thing is that it fits the scene they usually put it in, but still. They had plenty of excellent songs to choose from and they use it of all of them.

Kyoto animation didn't screw up with Clannad/Kanon, and those were realllly long VNs. But they at least kept a good flow and pacing between arcs, which is good for nonreaders. I don't mind for changes and such since i never read the vn.

A rushed, but still okay episode, 3/5. I wish Kurugaya would whisper shonen into my ears...

Props to Mio's VA, she isn't as good as the original, but I feel that she is doing her best to give off the same vibe, can't ask more than that.

Test of courage up? From the preview it looks like it will focus on Rin/Komari/Kud. A pity, I want the Kurugaya/Mio pairing.

Also, I really loved that they incorporated this sentence into the episode
