| I really don't get it though, I mean sure lying to a guy and humiliating him in front of an audience was a dick move but It's not that big of a deal and bad enough to make people stop watching and supporting such a good show. I mean they made the guy do one audition and said a few lines since the character he was supposedly going to voice was a minor role, and they did at the very least give him a job so he gets paid in the end. I just really don't like the thought of people who were uninvolved in this being affected due to a bunch of retarded assholes from silverlink since this incident might give the LN as well as it's author a bad image as well. |

Most of us here don't even buy the Japanese BD/DVDs, i'm guessing? BD volume 1 has taken a hit though because of the 'incident', as you can see here. Rank is on the y-axis, the current day is on the x-axis. 2nd graph is straight forward. Don't mind the crappy jpeg pictures xD   However, there's still like >10 other anime BD with worse rankings than Kokoro Connect on Amazon JP. | Nope. I don't want them to change the Seiyuu's either, cause I'm already used to them, and it matches too well to change it now. Changing them now would suck..if they want whoever is responsible punished, then hopefully they do it some other way. I'd probably still buy it as well, cause that's just how much I enjoy the anime. |

| I don't think a series should be dropped because of some real life incident. The only time a series should be dropped is if one's no longer getting any enjoyment out of it for his/her own personal reasons, and even then that's his/her own choice, not persuasion from a general consensus. As long as the story continues to be interesting and well executed like this, then there's no reason for me to stop watching. |

| Hey hey This is info from my rl friend who followed their blogs, apparently on both Terashima and Ichiki's blog there's an announcement and an apology from Terashima. They both explained that it was a misunderstanding and they are still friends til now. The dokkiri actually will end on September 30th but because of the length of it people got the wrong idea. anyway no one should drop this anime because of an incident like this. what's it to do with the story? |

From what I understand, a VA that wasn't well known before was offered a position for a new character on Kokoro Connect. In front of a public audience, it was then revealed it was all fake and was offered a position as some kind of publicity captain. All this occurred while the staff was making fun of him and he was not enjoying it. He accepted the position, most likely out of the pressure. Although I think this kind of prank can leave a bad taste afterwards, I don't think it quite steps over the line. Mitsuhito's career is not that negatively impacted. In fact, perhaps he may get more recognition from the publicity. He may have been embarrassed on stage, but it seems that he kept it professional. However, it certainly isn't a very good prank. To lie to someone about something as important as their career is certainly not funny at all to the person who the prank is being done on. The negative side to this for Mitsuhiro is the time that he invested in this prank. He may have turned down other offers to take up this opportunity and this is a shame. You cannot have a successful prank when someone feels at the end that they have been cheated out of something, especially if the compensation (PR position) is nowhere near enough. Furthermore, to humiliate him in public after the reveal and basically forcing him to take the position or risk looking like more of an idiot is even worse. I can understand why this leaves a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. |

| Of course not. This is my favorite anime of the season. Even though I feel incredibly for that VA, I'm not going to drop this just because some idiots played a cruel joke. It wouldn't be fair to the rest of the crew that worked hard on KC and weren't involved in the prank. I'm not watching this show for the seiyuu's anyways, frankly I don't care about them. I'm watching it because I just really enjoy the anime. All the seeiyu's do is voice the characters, that's not going to ruin my enjoyment, it's not going to change the story. Plus I'm watching the show illegally anyways, not planning on buying the DVD's or the Bluray's until it's available in America. |

| I was honestly asking myself that after watching episode 9. I'm not too big on drama, but this series stood out with the right sense of supernatural. Anyways, there are possibly a history of pranks behind all our favorite series that we haven't even heard of, haven't left any of them behind. |
