From the top of my mind, Avatar. With such a budget, they could have spared some expenses for the plot writing. No matter how beautiful a stale bread is, it's still a stale bread.

On the opposite side, Inception is one of the few recent movies that really surprised me with how well deserved the hype was.

X men Origins a movie only like by People who have No idea about X men Lore

ant movie that Trailer says with Amazing[ or some of Superitive Special Effects
"If you tremble with indignation at every injustice, then you are a comrade of mine"

When the union's inspiration through the workers' blood shall run
There can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun
Yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one

I firmly believe the majority of Horror films nowadays are overrated (especially referring to Insidious because that film just sucked no matter how you look at it).

Huh. Fancy that. I couldn't stand Inception because only one of the characters actually had any depth to them. Or in other words, I couldn't care about anyone.

These threads never go anywhere...

Everyone will just post whatever movie they want and no one will agree with anything.

Avatar is popular, but a pretty vocal minority find it's dumb. Even the fans I think admit they just like the scenery.

Pixar movies on the other hand seem to have no opposition. I found them all mediocre, as a kid and now.

Seriously? Avatar? i honestly believe the story wasn't all that bad, considering they were pioneers in 3d, they built a marvelous world from ground-up that actually clicked, introduced a new concept, i felt for the characters and i enjoyed it, even though i didn't see it 3d, if i did i probably would have loved it even more. But overrated... blah too many to even bother to think about it.

- Inception. Easily the most overrated movie on Earth.
- Titanic. Also a hugely overrated movie, I mean, kolossal.
- Mulholland Drive. Stupid, non-sensical so-called masterpiece.
- Amélie. Seriously, it sucks.
- Dogville. Lars Von Trier fails so much.
- The Evil Dead. How can this ugly shit be considered a classic?
- The Dead Zone. Not remarkable nor compelling imo. It's David Cronenberg, after all.
- Existenz. Once again, David Cronenberg is fail desu. This one in particular is one of the worst movies I've ever laid my eyes on.
- High Tension. No. Just no.
- Rec. It's Balaguero's worst movie, and yet it's considered the best.
- Jackie Brown. Tarantino's worst movie, at least in my opinion.
- Shutter Island. Doesn't really deserve such high ratings.
- Scarface. Way too overhyped.
- Heat. As above.
- Monster. I didn't find it very good, honestly, and I think it gets too much praise.
- The Lost Boys. Okay, it's histerically funny, but not good.
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I never understood what's so amazing about it, honestly. I find it terrible.
- The Crow. Never liked it, and always considered it overhyped.
- Big Wednesday. So crappy, I didn't even care about finishing it.
- Stand By Me. A nice kids adventure, sure, but unarguably not a masterpiece in any way.
- Inside Man. Didn't see anything interesting about this one.
- Gran Torino. Good, but not that great. Clint Eastwood made better movies.
- Into The Wild. Fine, yes. Epic? Not really.
- Zatoichi. Surely not the best Asian movie on Earth.
- The Bourne Trilogy. Such an average, boring action thriller. I wonder what's all the hype about?
- Traffic. Boooring. More a documentary than a movie.
- Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer. Eh, what, it sucked.
- The Dreamers. Decent, nothing more.
- Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Even though I liked it, I don't think it's as amazing as everyone says.
- Little Miss Sunshine. Meh. Unfunny slice of life comedy.
- Twilight. No comment needed.

Anime: Summer Wars & anything by Miyazaki/Ghibli.

& there are more which I can't remember right now.

No. I do like gorey things, but only if they're well-done. Sam Raimi's debut is the opposite of a good movie, for so many reasons.

Inception. It had an interesting concept and lot of potential, but the director preferred deliveringexplosions and curse pursuit rather than actual plot devellopment. And he should've learned a bit about representation of dreams because actual dreams are way less structured and realistic than the unimaginative ones of the movie.
In the end, it ended up being another action flick movie with little story. It had its good moment like the ending.

I thought Memento was way better.

I never watched X-Men: First Class but I think it's overrated. Already seen Wolverine when it came out but I work in a movie theater and a lot of people thought there'd be a scene after the credits. I know Marvel Studios always put an extra scene after the credits but this movie is a prequel to Wolverine.

HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THE EVIL DEAD?????????

man, that movie is so funny. I mean, the second one is certainly funnier, but my god those movies are great.

HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE PIXAR MOVIES - to whomever said that, I forget or whatever
Pixar makes some damn fine films. Cars sucked a lot, but the rest of their stuff is incredible.

Inception was also great.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - why is this considered one of the greatest movies?

2001: a Space Odyssey - this one really makes me mad because I honestly LOVE kubric films generally. This movie, though, had such an AMAZING premise, and a few of the scenes were some of the best I've ever seen.
But most of it was fucking bullshit.

Like the opening is 20 minutes of monkeys followed by 20 minutes of space

ugh, just
I really wanted to like that movie
but it's terrible.
