| I'm tackling an older show here: Mononoke, I couldn't find how to add/recommend this tag/genre: seinen. I don't see how this was possibly missed, and it's not a big matter but as others and I do look for that tag instead of simply 'horror' (in Mononoke's case: psychological horror -> seinen, the latter can work as summarizing/englobing multiple heavier/serious topics; simply horror does not mean seinen as most will automatically put pathetic guro as 'horror' and not look further than this in the genre) this made me realize I've quite missed out on watching this series so late. I simply might not have figured out how to recommend the genre/tag, and in that case ofc bad luck on my side and I am sorry for asking a staff member to handle this, but I've checked every 'edit anime information' selections and it wasn't present. |

| I just read this update on the guidelines. This means Afro Samurai (movie) will be added right? I feel like I had many movies in mind, but forgot about them because this one was rejected. I'll try to figure them out too. What about Anime that was released as a TV series and then they got a compiled OVA release? For example, most of the Sekai Meisaku Gekijou titles were compiled into several 90min. OVAs. Another excellent example already on MAL is Future GPX Cyber Formula Graffiti which is a compilation OVA of the TV Series, released as an introduction to new fans for the Future GPX Cyber Formula 11 OVA series. |

| Amazon Japan is listing six volumes of Blu-ray and DVD for Saki: Achiga-hen - Episode of Side-A. The official website seems to indicate that each volume will have two episodes each, making the show a single cours airing with 12 episodes. |

| @ap19: Yeah, those work out fine. It would be awesome if you could add pictures in all future submissions, really helpful. Just use some related picture or re-use something if you can't find anything. We just need to have a picture. @desolato: Do you have a source for any of that, except the genres? Has it even aired? @ap19: Yes, Afro Samurai was the main reason for the new rule but it also covers Eve no Jikan, Yamato and a bunch of older movies. Could you submit the Afro Samurai movie again, please? Yamato will be an OVA series and a movie series, so 8 entries in total by my count. @zanetu: Naru had a brain fart, I added it. Sorry for the inconvenience. @cat_clan: We decided to not TV-OVA at this time. Movies/theatrical releases are more special in our opinion. At some point, Xinil willing, we'll merge the movie versions into the original entries and make release versions. So this is a temporary fix. At that stage, I guess we can put OVA versions in there too, somehow. @desolato: Also source for Shiba Inuko-san's episode count, please. Otherwise done. |

| @arsonal & tsubasalover: lol, fixed, thanks. @nextday & arsonal & ap19: Good points. I honestly never thought about it but it makes no sense to have numbers in for example the Naruto movie entries. We add numbers if it's a series, i.e. one is a direct sequel of the other (KnK doesn't strictly follow that but it fits there too for obvious reasons) but if the movies are standalone, putting the numbers in the synonyms should suffice. Roman numberals up to III are fine as well and look a bit nicer imo. I know the Naruto movies need to be fixed but do you guys know of any others? I'm not going to touch Doraemon with a 10 lightyear pole, it's a completely massive mess on MAL and I have better things to do. It'd be simpler to nuke the whole thing from orbit by now. @ap19: What exactly is that Ao no Exorcist thing? All the other Young Animator Training Projects have been stand-alones and the unknown status was causing problems on user's (and my own) animelist. I highly doubt there will be another episode but if there is, we'll make sure to edit the entry asap. |
