C'mon this episode was very very very very predictable and full of melodrama (good thing I'm melodramatic too). It was enjoyable to watch, but that's all there is to it.
Segai's death was just...what the hell was that...
3+1(because Ayase)/5

Honestly, I don't understand WHY people would waste ~12 hours of their lives watching an unenjoyable show and then spend several more hours, if not days, to harp on the anime. If the show is that bad, then drop it.

It you find some sort of entertainment in the show, despite how bad it is, then be my guest and watch it. Just don't come here raging about how bad it is after.

And on another note, some people just take anime too seriously.

Seriously? Thats what critics do. They watch a show and then discuss how good/bad it is compared to their standards. This is a discussion board, having people merely moot how awesome the episode is isn't much of a discussion without having an opposite opinion.

At least this anime has gone back to stage where its become unintentionally funny again rather than facepalm

A critic doesn't attack the audience for liking the show. At least none of the good ones anyway. No one on this site is a true critic. ANd if they act and claim to be one that's all the more reason to call bullshit.

There is a fine line between critiquing a work and purely insulting it for the heck of it. Some of the people on this forum have been doing that time and again. It has gotten to the point where they're "sipping so much haterade" that they're attacking other people. That itself is a logical fallacy, aka ad hominem -facepalm-

And allow me to be rude for a moment, but I agree with you Darklight. Those "critcs" should stop "critiquing" something so insignificant as anime and get themselves a job if they're oh so smart.

Lol. Well I called it last episode that his void would be like this.

More proof that this anime is unoriginal.

For people who like this series... this is just my opinion. In the beginning of the series, it was clear what the characters were fighting against, But since that point, it's just been randomness, unoriginal, and senseless fighting/"Battle Royale" drama for a while now. The series is finally getting back on track which makes it mediocre to me. Also, having one unrealistic character really takes away from the potential of a series to absorb me into the story and be concerned for the characters. I can't stand the noisy technology chick because she's wearing the cat ears. She takes away from the realism. It would have been better if the robot she controls just replaced her entirely. Ayase on the other hand is my favorite girl in the series. She's real and I respect her standing up for herself and not wanting people to help her get out of her chair.

Yugioh 5d's has the arm symbol thing as well. I suppose they copied from that too...
And if I told you that nothing is this world is original, then what? I suppose every plaid shirt out there is a copy from the one before it.
Stop taking GC as a ripoff of something else and watch it from a neutral standpoint.

Precisely. Too many self entitled nobodies think that having a large number of completed series gives them the right to attack and hold every show on earth to their standards. And don't even get me started on the retards who use ratings given to shoot down your arguments. You know how I give tens?

Did I regret watching the series for even a moment?

Did I ever feel bored?

Did I manage to connect to any character?

Did I enjoy the plot with all of its holes and twists it might have had?

Did I like the music?

Did the VA's convey things properly to me?

In case of adaptations:

Did they respect the personality of the characters from the original? *one of Umineko's greatest sins might I add*

Were the changes subtle enough to not overly change the overall flow?

Were there no major scenes cut?

Fillers are a fine line but I'll toss them in as well. Beelzebub failed hard on this may it rot in hell. Pun not intended.

Those questions determine if I give a 10 or not. Note all of those refer to me. My stance on things. I never claim this show is the best on earth. It isn't. It's riddled with flaws and holes. But I enjoy it. And I shouldn't have some pompous stuck up nobody with too much free time on his hands telling me I should feel tainted for rating something based on MY experience.

I didn't mean it that way. I was simply talking about extremes of both sides, you know, irrational people. And maybe 'insignificant' is not the right word in this example. I think trivial would be a better word.

Exactly. How I give my scores to my shows is not anyone else's concern but my own. Scores are subjective and there is no right or wrong in how someone grades.

Spoilers for FSN visual novel

Non-spoiler way to say it is his arm goes through a Heaven's Feel scenario and with UBW powers. Also, he also has a command seal on his hand if you didn't notice.

I quickly browsed this thread and didn't find any replies directed at you. I've seen posts saying that the episode was terrible but thats basically the extent of it. If you are going to post your opinion that the episode was 'epic' then at least try and rationalize to others who are complaining why you thought it was rather then just scream that your opinion is supreme.

Thing about GC is, it's bad writing, but it's pretty damn entertaining. Just because people keep saying it's a bad show does not mean they're not entertained.

So to say people are spending countless hours for unenjoyable shows just so they can whine about it should be relatively less in the population. All you see is some vocal haters but the polls always result to a high number of 5s and 4s.

But I agree on the trash talkers who can't do anything but end up throwing personal insults. Random trolls like "You should feel bad for liking this" is unacceptable.

There have been in the past, my dear gent. There have been plenty in the past and most attempts to combat points and arguments were shut down with "LOL looking at your rating no wonder you're defending this shit show" you get a little fed up when seeing such replies time and time again.

It's pride. I know it's illogical but Ayase does not want pity. If people saw her with robotic legs they would instantly pity her. The masses in general. Then there is the fact that if she had robotic legs then she would be just another grunt with a gun. As a pilot she can do that much more.

I hate it when people bring this up. Every. Single. Time.

Theres nothing else to watch on Fridays :p
And accept the fact that haters hate how the fanboys praise it to heaven and fanboys hate how the haters criticize it to hell.
So this is what they came up with:
"Those who gave this episode a score lower than 4 are gay"
"Those who liked this episode are action junkies"
Personal attacks are used when people dont understand each other.

That was a mistake. I meant to say action junkies will like this episode. Not the other way around. What can I say but, "my apologies".

In my defense though, I also said that the people who liked this episode liked the characters. And I have yet to see a case on these forums where that is not true. And that's if you exclude the action junkie comment.

Despite how much I disliked this series, I could give this a 9/10 if it does finish strong. It could get 10/10 if it ties up all the loose ends well. If the ending is bad, 8/10 or less.

How can you dislike it so much and thinking of giving it an 8 if it has a bad ending? o_o Even if the ending is good, it doesn't reset the rest of the episodes o_o Plus I rlyyy doubt they can fill up all all the holes. But still 8 as the highest for the case of disliking the whole series and the ending? How generous are you? /o/

Nice episode, much better than the last one. I kinda wish, we got to know about Segai a little more though, I mean we didn't get anything about him or his motives. If this anime can finish strong I may push it up 1 on my rating scale.

Well duh, thank you for telling me cause for one moment I thought I was the master of his desicions *sarcasm*
I'm just saying 8 isn't rly a score for someone who says they don't like the series and the ending is bad (cause he said he'd give an 8 or less if it had a bad ending). And I was asking him, not you.

Awesome episode.

But I don't want to see Shu dieing in the end T__T

I think it's a given. Given Inori wakes up alone at the end of the OP.

If your going by the Opening. It also shows Inori destroying the cancer as well.

Anyways, kinda expected as much too happen.

That scene is before the end and before he gets the arm though.

Go Shu!
