| For some reason I knew that the OP would be a major "love-it or hate-it" magnet. I loved it! As a matter of fact, I loved everything about this wonderful show! I was expecting an eechi fest with little plot and cool spaceships, which I probably would have watched without enjoying much. As it is, it looks very, very promising. Instead of and overly sexualized teenage leading lady, we have a sweet, sensible, smart, and accomplished young lady who will be thrust into a situation beyond her imagination and have to survive or swim with the asteroids. The CG is fantastic and the background art is wonderful. I love the character designs, especially Marika and Chiaki. The music is great and the lighthearted tone suggests that this will be a fun ride, not too heavy and not to much fluff. |

| Awesome episode. Great presentation and I'm loving the fact that while they are introducing characters there is always a detail or two around that show how the world works. And man, that chocolate parfait looked good.^^ |

| The opening theme is awful, I agree. But I LOVE the art and the characters are fun. I just love the 'old-style shoujo' art it used. Also, is anyone else getting some SERIOUS shoujo-ai vibes from the show? I feel my fan-girl senses tingling!! |
| I guess I wasn't the only one to think it seemed like an older title? Honestly, nothing wrong with that. I'm not expecting anything deep or challenging, all I'm looking for is what I see, space pirates. Hoping for just that. |

| What a surpise. Reading up about it before I was like eh, but after hearing some good impressions about it I couldn't resist to give it a try and I am impress. Has a lot of potential and I liking the cast so far. Will be watching this show now.:) |

| Mostly bored with this episode through about 70-80% of it, but it does have hope. The main character doesn't seem the least bit annoying despite seeming to be one of those eternal optimists that I generally hate. The production is quite nice, though through experience I've seen quite a dip between first episode and what follows. And despite my first thoughts, this doesn't seem to be a ecchi heavy, fanservice fest. Now I just need to see what its specialty is. Does this show thing it's got the action chops to run with that? Is it hoping to be fun and whimsical?  |

| Good start I suppose, was really looking forward to this anime. Still not sure what kinda anime this is gunna turn out to be but it looks okay so far. The characters looks pretty good and I am already liking Marika. Talk about a crazy turn of events. Finally finds out who her dad is, hes a space pirate and so is her mom, he just died three days ago, and she is asked to become the captain of the ship. Then new pirate teacher, bunch of mob looking people... etc. Lol |

| The theme that you may do acts of piracy if you have a permission is interesting. I wonder how Marika will do as a captain of pirates. The OP sounds anachronistic but great I think. |

| It was pretty good. That door thing tripped me out when it spun. LOL. I like Marika's hairstyle. Hm, she addressed her mom using her first name. Pretty informal. I don't think they are blood-related. ...But that theory is out the window. So she's his son, huh? No wonder she was good at flying that thing. The teacher thing was to be expected. The transfer student wasn't. I like the use of holograms for school purposes specifically seat management. I bet that'll be the future in a couple of years... ROFL @ those organized crime looking dudes at the cafe. Dat Chocolate Parfait... Wow fucking awesome. A quick shootout scene lol. I'm getting a Mahou Shoujou Madoka Magica vibe going on between the two girls. I like the ED. |

| MARIKA'S GONNA BE KING OF THE PIRATES! I heard all the ranting and raving about this show, so I had to check it out and it was pretty good. Nothing really incredible or anything, but we'll see where it goes from here. I really like Marika's character design too, so that will keep me coming back as well. |
| Been some time since I ended up "What? It's already over?" after an episode, it was much better than expected. The exposition in the beginning was a bit much, but I don't have any other complaints so far. 4/5. |
