| I get the same vibe from this as I got with Asobi ni Iku Yo! Only with less fanservice (so far). It even has Kana-chan voicing the mysterious kick ass black haired glasses girl. I get the feeling the show will get super silly. Which could be fun. I'll watch it for awhile. |

| I thought this was going to be marginal during the OP, but when the actual show started it was surprisingly good. They did a good job of explaining the Letters of Marque license for privateering (piracy), and there was some interesting future tech shown (as well as a few hints of how the economy of a frontier planet operates, which may explain why the letters of marque have not been rescinded). This might be a hit. |

| now this one's promising, and with a classic plot like this, i'm sold.. and 26 episodes just solidified my excitement to watch this.. it was a good start, not over the top and definitely opened up for more things to watch out for in the future.. damn, all these sci-fi shows with female protagonists in them are actually hyping up my winter 2012.. |

| I was kinda looking forward to this. I like space and I like pirates, especially bodacious ones. The first episode was OK, even though it had a lot of high school cliches. It looks like the next episodes will deliver a lot of space action, which is what we all want to see. And possibly a lot of miniskirts, which we also want. |

| This was an excellent episode to this series. I can already feel some nostalgia of the following, http://myanimelist.net/anime/2202/Arcadia_of_My_Youth http://myanimelist.net/anime/5307/Sora_wo_Kakeru_Shoujo http://myanimelist.net/anime/4066/Tytania It’s a mixture really. Of various elements from them. Combine together this made this anime into something I like due to them. The best I find of Marika is in the following,  a priceless face to a discovery of her mother’s true nature. ROFL! About Marika Katou, I find Marika from the start in the spoiler Marika’s delusion of the table talk was artistically fascinating as it showed old pirate maps with a feel all is on water kind of. While in there her pose with her expression here was charming and the way she was portrayed. I loved it when she woke up in the spoiler About the ED, it was very good. The musics was as nice as the OP. I liked a lot this part here with Marika as it shows her nicely. While it was nice to see a group pic of Marika/Mami and Chiaki with a background of purple. While the opposite was nice to see of the same group but with Marika being in pirate clothing. Strangely enough Chiaki turns into some mechanic look alike and Mami seeing her being a maid suggests she might be a good friend as a support Marika. However what the ED is useful in is in the list:
About the OP, first thing of the OP is the music being as amazing as the one from the ED. It really made my ears be happy. That being said the OP is excellent in group poses in the spoiler  Shows nicely it’s triple turret cannons. Still want to know the missiles of that thing and other weapons. It portrays very nicely Marika here. It shows Chiaki here, Schnitzel being shown here up close looks good and the insides here are nicely displayed. We know the inside of the spaceship nicely like that. Mami being shown as a maid still makes me think she might be one for the whole series but up close her face is nice. Marika being shown here with the hair waving was good to see. For it looked like a nice motion. Loved seeing the cook here and with that other person they make a nice combo of serious cooking. Chiaki’s face here shows her nice touch of being serious. I loved seeing the spaceship in the spoiler Find it fascinating of seeing this heart like thing here. Wonder if it’s the heart of the engine compartment of the ship? While this satellite here was totally interesting. Wonder its purpose. Seeing Coorie here does tell me she some kind of computer genius. Seeing Hyakume like here all excited tends to lean as him being in frenzy during a fight. While seeing San-Daime here all in panic was plain hilarious. Seeing the space ship here made it looks splendid once again. It was shown very well. While seeing Chiaki at first on what looks like Mars then with Marika in the spoiler About the preview, looks like Ririka is going to do some shooting with some laser armour piercer and at that same part Marika will be taught how to use it. She has to since someone already tried to kill her. Other random stuff,
About the fan service, well compared to Nisemonogatari it was integrated and even not noticeable. It’s basically some almost no detail partial nude from the OP and most of all I did not expect is Chiaki’s panties in the spoiler In conclusion, the series is good and I shall stick with it. | First of all, the visuals look gorgeous, something I didn't expect judging from the preview. I especially liked the laid-back atmosphere of the first episode and the characters seem quite interesting as well. So far one of my favourite shows of the winter season along with Nisemonogatari and Natsume. |

| Better than expected, which is always a plus for a show that I expected to be one of "those moe bs shows," though can still go in that direction, but still looking forward for what's to come. 4/5 for this episode. |

| I had my thoughts about this but tried it out anyway. And i have to say that it's better then expected and i like it this far. Just wondering what next week will bring things might become interesting tho legal pirates raises a question indeed. (Source Mac dictionary) So if you look at it from that point a legal pirate would not exist since theft and robbery are illegal to start with. I think there referring more to rebels or freedom fighters here or like someone else mentioned privateers or mercenaries. But i guess they wanted something exciting here. |
