He was well known for Fate/Zero way before it ever got an anime. Urobuchi is mainly known for his work with Nitroplus, a visual/light novel company, so you don't see the extent of his work on just an anime website. |

Also Gen writing a BL anime?! Why would you want that fluttershy? BL fans would hate it because everyone would die horribly and normal fans would hate it because it's BL. Anyway Blassreiter proved that even Gen can write a bad anime. His biggest weakness is his characters. Fate/zero had great characters because he was working with Nasu who specialises in characters. Gen's going to need to create a story that can bypass this weakness. |

Only this year suddenly two of his works animated and become hits when actually he really doesn't write that much. Certainly the year of Urobuchi Gen. I thought he only said he didn't mind same-sex relationships when interviewed about madoka, so maybe he will do yuri! And BL fans would love it if they died horribly in a romantic fashion, like the ending of Code Geass XD Gen make his characters memorable by their sufferings and tragedies, so yes he might has weaknesses in making their memorable in normal ways. |

What about bromance? It's doesn't have to be BL, it can be subtext just like Madoka Magica Btw not to confuse you since most bl animes is yaoi. BL is love with out sex and Yaoi is sex & love in it. And most people like used Yuri more than GL, because it mean lily in english. Yaoi doesn't have meaning in english |

And what make you think he wanted to make BL story???? Because that doesn't sound like him at all. Here it is: Puella Magi Wikia said: In talking about relationships in his body of works, Urobuchi revealed his beliefs about same sex relationships, "whatever relationship that could exist between male and female it should also exist between couples of same sex." Aside from the difference in body parts, he did not see a male and female relationship as special or unique. He believes that the same kind of love is possible between same sex couples as well. Urobuchi stated he may even write about a love relationship between two men in the future. Anyway more Urobuchi is good. I don't really care for what kind of anime it will be, if the story is good that will be enough for me. (But I do kind of want it to be a NightmareFuel/Gore/Sad anime with BL undertones. If only to see those "Yuri-is-good-but-Yaoi-is-ew" fanboys pissed off.) |

This is exactly why I want him to make a BL story mostly I was never really a fan of yuri and such but he handled the yuri undertone in Madoka quite nicely. People who love yuri but hate yaoi are quite ridiculous. Of course yaoi isn't everyones thing but BL undertones shouldn't be made such a big deal as they are for some people. |

2ch seems to mention a rumor of this original anime being directed by Mizushima (no mention of whether it's Mizushima Seiji or Tsutomu) & Murata Masahiko over at Gainax. To quote a post there, I do have to wonder how gory it might get if this were to be a Mizushima Tsutomu x Urobuchi Gen anime... Well, the odds of this being a fake are too high anyway, but the idea is entertaining. |

About Madoka, IIRC Gen said he wanted to portray friendships between girls when he received the project. Maybe yuri wasn't the first thing in his mind. Maybe not. Somehow I felt that the question was just to make Gen admit Madoka is a yuri. But he didn't, so my opinion is that yuri wasn't his aim. |

But if you want to publicly flaunt your bigotry as you did in your first post (proclaiming your inability to respect someone who promotes equality + threatening fake violent action should they dare to create a fictional story about it), you give up any and all right to get pissy and indignant when you're called out on it. You can't have it both ways. Of course, you surely don't think it's bigotry. You believe you're "morally right", that worst of mental diseases, after all. But when arguing from a position on the side of intolerance, inequality, or exclusion, appeals to morality will always ring utterly hollow. Also: more hypocrisy and double standards. |

Okay, I slipped. Time to calm down and think. DraconisMarch said: Also: more hypocrisy and double standards. You have no right to call us out on that. For now, do the one civil thing you've done and let's go back on topic. Please. We'll stop caring if you're a homophobe if you stop being petty. Can we work a compromise? While I did say I'd stop being reasonable with you, I'm trying to throw you a (figurative) bone. |
