I'm glad because I'd like to see more of the manga animated. It might seem slow but to be honest I found the start of the manga pretty slow too. Which is why I stopped reading it for a while and am now so far behind in it... XD
I think it takes a while to get interesting.

Hmmm... Many people are complaining that the anime is slow? Bakuman, unlike other series, contains so many texts you can hardly put two chapters in one episode... So I think it's just great enough that they're portraying the manga very well. The anime also starts to get exciting when they meet Hattori. It doesn't get boring onwards.;)

Yes great news!
I hope the manga readers stop bitching about the slow pacing because you feel bored since you already know the story.
For us who don't read the manga, think its perfect fine.
Bakuman anime is a masterpiece.
Of course i'm going to read the manga when the anime end.

I don't read the manga and I still think this is slow-paced. I love slice of life and all, but since this is supposed to be shounen, maybe I expected something ... faster.

Whether it gets even the least interesting for me by the end of season, I'll decide if I'll be watching the 2nd season or not.

Really hoping this series keeps going for a while.

Something I've noticed is the people that've read the manga think the pacing is slow while those that haven't have thought it was fine. To me that's a good thing. It reminds me that Bakuman only gets better as it goes and that those of us that've read the manga enjoy it enough that we want to see the newer stuff as soon as possible.

I don't think I'd like the anime if they sped up the pace. The episodes take as long as I take to read the chapters anyway with as much text that Bakuman has. If they shorten it all we might end up with filler or have to wait even longer between seasons.

If you think about it people, if they are announcing making a second season now, maybe they are planning it out more thoroughly to improve it. And if you read the manga, its JUST about as slow paced atm as the show so chill.

And ALL shows start out slow, its called building to suspense.

People that complain about the pace are annoying.
I can't beleive you can say this doesn't deserve a second season, even if it is as slow paced as you say, with all the shit that air every season.

Hurray for 2nd season! I don't care if it's slow paced or not. But that means more episode before it ends! =D

I enjoy every episode as much I enjoy the manga. It's like my weekend is not complete without reading the latest chapter and if I haven't watched the new episode.

To people who don't like it. WE DONT CARE. What matters most is we enjoy this series as much as you guys do.

So, just wank to your favorite ecchi/yaoi animes. or adore your typical favorite action character that is weak at first and got powers out of nowhere,

the anime wasn't boring for me because i only started to read the manga after watching the anime.. i think the pace is around the same as a lot of other ongoing jump series? around 1 ep for every chapter..

personal opinion but i think its a rather gd pace if bakuman is going to be a long-running anime. if not there will either be long breaks between the seasons or they'll hav to start adding in fillers and i think fillers normally ruin the anime.

For me Bakuman is a real deal.I did not (or not remember) have so much fun since my favourite anime. It shows clearly the buisness of manga and anime, life of young ppl which want to improve and make their dreams come true,it is also funny and helps me with my way of acomplishing success.

I want second season but we will se it's only 13eps of first..

Knew it. They've only covered, what, 15+ chapters so far out of 110+ chapters available. Being a manga reader, I have no idea where they'll end the first season. But this is certainly good news.

yep i dropped watching this anime because its too slow guess ill have to read the manga for fast development of the story

what it shoudl get is a remake with a faster pace and isn't locked down with a number it should just get an open numner like one piece or naruto or bleach or fairy tail
I like series that are locked with a number. Because then it won't end up as long as One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, and Fairy Tail.

Interesting considering the fact that the anime's not that close to finishing yet.

I dunno if I dislike this pacing or not. Obviously I haven't read the manga yet, but so far the anime's been entertaining me, though sometimes it feels like the past two episodes could've been one instead. I dunno. xD /ramble

Anyhow, I'll still look forward to the second season. o uo

This made me laugh too hard. XD Since I hate every one of the things you said and I still can't say I'm thrilled by Bakuman anime.
It's not bad though, it entertains me enough to decide to watch the second season.

Me too. I've only read up to chapter 96 and it's waaaaaaay ahead of the anime. I hope they speed things up a bit so it doesn't take five seasons to catch up.

YESSSS

One of my favorite series in a while. Hopefully they don't change anything, like the pace, it's fine as it is. Lovely.

Actually I don't even know where this "slow pace" thing comes from, I haven't noticed, maybe it's because I love all of the characters so much and it's total pleasure to follow them, thus time flies when I'm watching this.

the pacing is fine and fits the atmosphere of the series, the animation on the other hand could be better but it's a slice of life series so animation is the least of my concerns.

Best news ive heard all week! This anime is awesome and the pacing and character development has been very good. The only thing i don't like about it so far is this annoying relationship between Mashiro and Azuki but anyways i look forward to this!
