| Attack on Titan's artstyle is one of the best I've seen (Season 1-3). Also, Kimi no Na wa's artstyle is just amazing and unbeatable till this date. I also like Ghibli films artstyle, they have a certain aesthetic to them. And I dislike artstyle from Ping Pong the Animation and Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu. |

| i like art styles like aot and berserk characters that dont look as realistic but u can imagine what they would look like if they were real (aot, berserk, vinland saga, dororo) i also hate art styles that are in a lot of bishounen animes i like pretty much any art style, especially any katanagatari or monogatari ones, kyoto animation etc, |

| Shinkai Art style (Who doesn't lol) Tenki no ko and Kimi no na wa both had such detail in their art, I think it's a good thing we only see it in movies to make it more special. Kyoani art (old one and new ones) I just like art from anime like Air and Clannad because just makes me feel nostalgic even tho I didn't watch anime "back then" 3-gatsu no lion art is so nice Monogatari art is very unique (both shaft studio) |

| Favorite Artistic styles > Overall (landscapes, accessories and characters): Violet Evergarden > Landscapes: Your Name > Accessories: Weathering With You > Characters: Demon Slayer | Overlord > Honorable mention: Kill la Kill (very unique Artistic style, loved it) I don't really "hate" any artistic style. I can find beauty and appreciate most Art forms/styles. Though I find it really annoying when there are inconsistencies in the Art's quality between episodes of a show. It breaks the flow and I end up focusing too much of my attention on the fact that nothing looks the way it's supposed to and it ruins my experience. |

My favorite anime art style is from Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple. I love the character designs. My least favorite art style would have to be from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I just don't like the overly muscular bodies. I also feel that too much detail is added to the structure of the faces at times.  |

| I'm a sucker for the big eyes late 90s/early 00s Key and Clamp designs as far as art style for characters goes. Mid 90s and Mid 00s stick out to me as striking visuals as well, so I guess more coherently put that would be stuff from ~95 to ~08 or Evangelion to Geass to paint a rougher picture. |

| Probably Soul Eater or Hellsing considering they nail the supernatural aesthetic in their own rights while soul eater is very punk rockish and halloween themed and hellsing on the other hand is very Lovecraftian and jazzy idk if thats a good description |

| Bleach and hanako kun easily!! For art styles I dislike, maybe the early gintama days? Its literally my fav anime but I wasn't a fan of it at first. It got better and I like it a lot now |

| I don't have a clear cut favorite Anime with a more simplistic looking art style with a nice color palette that's easy on the eyes: i.e. Katanagatari, Little Witch Academia or can apply to great character designs i.e. Cowboy Bebop or fascinating setting types i.e. Space Dandy Dislike designs like Kanon/Clannad look, xxxHOLIC proportions, facial appearances of something like Kemonozume or Ping Pong, ugly ass High Score, Abunai Sisters, and Utsu Sayuri, abuse of red nose from God of High School despite neither of them being sick or being cold. Something else escapes me, but I had it just earlier when I was brainstorming. |

| I'm not very selective with i like, but, experimental art style (like Eikyuu Kazoku), Gainax and Trigger productions with Sushio character design (like TTGL and Kill la Kill) and classic shoujo/josei manga style (like Versailles no Bara) is my favorites art styles. |
Jojo, every part has its own art style that makes it so beautiful and unique that it so easy to recognize  |

Least favourites include monotone looks like Attack on Titan, Monster and Ergo Proxy, or just stuff where clearly no thought was put into the colour design like the hideousness that is the Ace Attorney anime. Anything that looks 'lazy' or 'generic' to me basically. |

| From what I have noticed in this thread thus far, most posts seem to be less about different overall styles and more about idiosyncratic minutia. In my case, though, it is much easier to list that which I absolutely hate because only three examples come to mind: 3) One Piece - I have always hated this sort of goofy & simplistic shit, mainly because it looks like something a kid would draw before learning about body proportions. I never cared much for the manga, but the artistic style is by far its worst aspect to me and perhaps the biggest reason why I will probably never watch a full episode of the anime. 2) JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - I cannot fucking stand the art in JBA. I have always thought pretty much everything about this show was incredibly stupid, but the character designs look so much like retarded, pretentious, meth-addled flamers that I cannot take any of it seriously... and the fact that it obviously requires considerable talent to design & draw it all just makes it that much more insufferable to me. Honorable Mention: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo - This looks like an amalgamation of the aforementioned's styles. I gave it a shot back when it aired on Toonami almost 20 years ago, and I disliked it pretty much immediately. 1) Unnecessary CGI: Few things can ruin the aesthetic of a show quicker than the poor use of computer animation. While shows about mechs and VRMMOs can obviously pull it off with little issue, it is beyond aggravating when studios use CGI to cut corners and/or replace traditional animation for no good fucking reason. From shows I have seen, the most glaring examples that come to mind are: Arifureta - Every fucking monster GATE - Flame dragon Goblin Slayer - Goblin Slayer Overlord - Soldiers, armies, Dark Young Quanzhi Gaoshou 2 -Vehicles & pedestrians Because this gross trend has become so commonplace, especially over the past decade, I generally consider CGI to be the worst artistic style ever put on a screen... |

| JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has a different art style with each animated part starting from part 3 and I love all of them. Part 4's was my favorite. I totally understand why some people don't like any of JoJo's art styles though I think Toilet-bound Hanako-kun looked super unique The Nichijou style. Dunno what it is about it. I just like it The "older" style like in the 90's JoJo OVA is also one of my favorites BEASTARS has the best CGI in any anime I've seen I guess Baccano! just looks great to me. Not sure why I don't really like the art styles of Madoka Magica, Pop Team Epic or Chidori RSC. The characters' faces in all of them just don't appeal to me for one reason or another I find the pink-purple character outlines in No Game No Life odd (I don't like them or dislike them really). They look weird in still screenshots but they look fine in motion. I guess I'm just so used to either black-gray outlines or no outlines That's all just from anime I've seen. I have a whole tag on my plan to watch list for shows that I think look nice |
