| The character designs were definitely one of the best things about Bleach, but that doesn't really say much since it's one of the worst battle shounen I know. There's dozens if not hundreds of shows where I like the character designs just as much, if not more. Heck, I can probably list at least half a dozen if not a full dozen of character designers whose work I appreciate infinitely more than that of whoever did them for the Bleach anime (https://myanimelist.net/blog.php?eid=766974 a bunch of them are listed here for example). The Bleach ones look nice, but they're nothing special for the most part. They're inoffensive and somewhat forgetable, albeit definitely not bad. |

| Yeah as far as battle shounen goes, Kubo is a really great artist among the ones I've seen or read. Mayuri is still one of the best unique-looking designs I've ever seen. The captains and Espadas in general are so well-designed and iconic. I also love the casual clothes he makes his characters wear. He's really in tune with his artistry. People have never criticized his drawing skills as much as his laziness to draw backgrounds tbh. Everyone acknowledged he's a great artist. |

| I partially agree, some of Kubo's character designs are really cool, especially the Arrancar/Espada and their Resurrections. But imo, One Piece has the best/more unique character designs. |

| Kubo is really good at making attractive and fashionable characters, but I wouldn't say Bleach's character design is the best. Though, I do like the designs better than most things that came from its 2000s shounen contemporaries like Naruto and One Piece. |

| vvell sir everything u have on ur profile is private so i cant tell if u re a huge fanboi of Bleach or just ur honest opinion novv if u vvould let me contradict u vvith other anime i think Jigoku shoujo had a really pretty design,only on it mains,about other one ... hmm i really loved FLCL design too and Fairy Tail season 1 vvas the vvhole graphic thing i liked...and there's Phantom that also had simple but good graphic ye u have a point if i think about it Bleach didnt rlly have "bad graphic" i guess oh vvell i dont think best character design can exist since there are dozens freaking anime's |

| Can't say the best, but it's up there. I fucking love the captain coats, they're probably my favorite uniform ever in any media. The way they give that "wow this guy is different" vibe is awesome, you immediately know a captain is a fucking powerhouse even if it's one of the more bland looking ones. I also like that when he goes weird, he really goes weird, like with Mayuri and Szayel Aporro, but the overall character design is pretty uniform. Not going into how he draws faces, since that's personal taste, but I like it way better than other classic shonen. The only anime I can immediately think of that is clearly above Bleach design wise is Soul Eater. I like some things better in Bleach's, like the faces and that it's more uniform, but Soul Eater is just wild |

| True that. Gin and the Espada were my favourite subjects for forums profile pictures back in the day, I really liked their design. Only later on, during the Quincy Blood War Arc, I started to appreciate the captains' design too. Other memorable mentions are the Xcution and Senjumaru Shutara. Recently, with the announcement of a new season and the rise of Bleach fanarts, I also realized how hot the girls in that show are. The story, on the other hand ... |
