Naoe turned up the badass in this episode, plucking out eyes and cutting off heads like nobody's business. Looking forward to the "losing battle". |

| Well that backstory was alright, shame the animation is so bad. The ending song reminds me of Shinsekai Yori's which is probably the best thing this anime has going for it. |

| Mosuke's past was so tragic, but fortunatelly a light appeared before him, that light was Kanetsugu. *manly moment over The animations are not that good, but I don't really care honestly. This is still more than enjoyable for me. Also, it's funny how people say this show is not deep. | Who'd've thought that cute little Mosuke'd have the most tragic backstory? I really felt sorry for him. He always seems so cheery too! The animation was really confusing this ep, though. On one hand, it felt like there was more fluidity/action/emotion in the movements of the characters, but on the other hand the quality felt like it had drifted into bad early 90s ova without the fuzzy VHS-style colours and picture. | This was an amazing episode. Who would know that Mosuke have a such tragic back story? Also, I'm still surprised I didn't get lost with the Japanese names again. |

| That was a refreshingly good episode, didn't expect a tragic backstory like that. And I like how they use a flashback within a flashback. Actually pretty excited for the next episode. |

| The best episode so far. The situation where Mosuke was when he was saved and the battle with those bandits kind of reminded me of Hokuto no Ken... which is a good thing. 4/5 |
| I'm i the only one that found Mosuke being responsible for the woman death. I mean he knew that guy wanted her and was pissed with him after losing an eye so he went and left her alone while she pregnant too? That's extremely stupid. |
