Done a million times doesn't mean it doesn't fit here too. We all keep watching "done a million times" animes, because we like some of them. I like this incarnation, because he's the perfect brother/husband and she's the perfect spouse/grandma. Can't wait to see how things unfold in between the otaku woes.

lol typical harem device. Girl obviously likes guy but guy tries to ignore it/too dumb to realise yet leads her on sometimes, allowing girl to continue her efforts for the rest of the series. Done to death, pls go back to otaku/kirino story.

The only thing is that you need more for a Harem. You need two others who end up liking the guy too.
This is my fav ep so far. Manami and Kyousuke make a great story. I think the grand father makes it better.

Can't understand why most of people want to see,
Kyousuke X Kirino ,
Reason I started to watch this was due to the fact that it looked like an anime which involves relationship between brother and sister but without weird incest.... If your looking for incest almost all anime which involves brother sister relationship have it..

You'll understand why when the anime anime gets closer to the novels...

i thoguth it was so funny and cute how kirino was so "upset" that he was spending the night at manami's place lol... kicking his chair at the dinner table!... kicking his door everytime she walked past it... over all this anime is definitely awesomeeee

i love how it is slowly showing 2 distant siblings slowly get closer to one another...

Oh wow! Kuroneko surprises Kyousuke in his home? Seeing potential avatar for myself of Kirino! Oh shit! Hotel room with Kyousuke peeking through the shower door that blocks most of his vision? Epic! Can't wait to see all this.

I think I have this figured out.

Manami is actually Kyousuke's sister. Given the conversation at the beginning of this episode, it makes sense. Kyousuke treats Manami like a sister because she is, in fact, his sister.

Additionally, Kyousuke and Kirino are not blood related. Two different times in previous episodes other characters have mentioned that Kirino and Kyousuke do not look alike. Coincidence? It's hard for me to believe.

Manami and Kirino must have somehow been switched when they were infants.

This is my theory. I'm calling it right now so I can point back to this post and gloat later.

The only problem is that Manami is 3 years older than Kirino. Manami and Kyousuke are in the same class in high school.

I liked this episode, and the Meruru dakimakura moment too. Haha...that was too good with the Grandpa.

You could say this is a silly question, but is Meruru some kind of a tribute to Omajo Doremi?

Did Manami made those sweets? Wow Those are the kind you feel sorry eating. She must have spent a lot of hours to make them.

Our overly tsun-tsun(she's not even tsundere) imouto was just giving light fanservice in the bath and acting like an idiot today by kicking doors and chairs.
She really has the hots for her brother if she's that upset because his away for a day.

Manami's family is full of win. The grandparents are awesome and the little brother is a fun kid. We didn't see any parents though. Grandpa always under the table, lol!!

I laughed at the reason he would reject a girl that likes him. Kind of funny because i haven't had a big relationship for some time now for the same reason. Yeah relationships can be tiring. Can't blame him on that.

If Manami's seiyuu was Mai Nakahara, it would be safe to say this could be Dango Daikazoku all over again...oh and gramps is utterly hilarious^^

Well, what the hell is wrong with Kirino? too much personality imbalance, she really is a hardcore otaku from the way she exaggeratedly imitates the genki-tsuntsun trend 0.o

Yeah, that is a problem. Oops.

Still, perhaps Manami and Kirino will end up not being blood related given the aforementioned "you don't look alike" comments. Who knows. Regardless, this is show is ridiculously entertaining, and I love watching the Kyousuke/Kirino relationship unfold.

Yea me too. when ever i think about this anime , i feel that there are two distant lovers and they will eventually realize their love for each other. For some reason I never saw them as a brother and sister i dont know why is this ?

It's a nice episode showing more of Kyousuke without much of Kirino. Great to see Manami and family scenes this time.

They are. There's nothing to suggest so far that they are not, besides the slight difference in hair in the family picture and the off-hand comment that Kirino and Kyousuke don't look similar. But really, that could just be bait for people to accept the incest. Blood doesn't matter, even if they're just step brothers or one of them is adopted they are siblings and grew up together. That is all you need to be family and is all you need to make the relationship wrong.

They're biological siblings alright. First episode showed Kirino with her natural hair colour. Until you dyed it blonde because she was a model. Her natural hair colour shows up in the family photos too.

Not really considered as such since they are just best friends. But he did made it clear the last thing on his mind right now is a relationship. The fact he doesn't want her to be with anyone else does hint that he has some unnoticed feelings for her inside. But she will sadly have to work more on it, and if other series are anything to go by I feel a little sad for her chances.

so kyouske and manami are both grandpa and grandma inside. and the grandparents looked more like youngsters than they did..

this episode made me lol quite a bit. first the zombie pop pop.then manami's brother being not so smart. then manami being cute for the sweets.

then kirino looking dangerous with her dakimura pillow....Kirino is definitely <3
the the brother playing "guitar" and falling.

tsuntsun kiririn is <3 too
then the whole lets take a bath together thing made me lol. kyouske really trusts manami to make such a comeback and ruin her xD

them sleeping together was cute, but i am still going for an ayase or kuroneko ending.

either way, manami was kinda cute.

Manami and her family restored my interest in this show. Kirino and her friends both otaku and not seem to only exist to reinforce all the negative stereotypes of anime and those that that love it. The last couple episodes were really getting under my skin. It's one thing to show off the culture in the medium itself, but it's entirely another to show off everything in a negative way.

I could stand the rest of the season to be about the Manami-kazoku, but alas I'm doomed to creepy Kirinotaku-ness. alas.

Great episode. I was introduced to Manami's family, who really made this a wonderful episode. To add more to this, we finally take a break from Kirino, save a couple of fanservice, which is a good change of pace. As much as I like Kirino, I would love to see other characters get development, and this episode delivered.

This episode shows Kyosuke in a totally opposite enviroment from his home. It shows a kind of life he has always wanted, peaceful and relaxing in contrast to his heavy atmosphere of a home. The best part of this episode was definitely the grandfather. His little schemes to get Ryosuke and Manami together was hilarious and totally made the episode worthwhile.

While Ryosuke only sees himself and Manami as friends, I loved their little interactions set up by the grandfather. I LOL'd at the shower scene from Manami. She's just way too cute.

We also got to see Kirino without her brother, which, as I said, was a nice change of pace. Kirino seemed a bit annoyed that he was staying over at Manami's, and it was cute.

As said before, this was a great episode and showed a good amount of development for Manami and family. Looking forward to more episodes with these guys.

9/10 Reason: Manami and her family get development. They were VERY entertaining. These guys made my week. This series definitely needs more of them. I'm glad they took a break from developing Kirino's character further for a bit.

Funny you guys interpreted that way.

I interpreted what Kyou said as more like: "I wouldn't accept the feelings of some other girl i don't know, tho to tell you the truth i'm not really looking for a relationship."

In shorter words, he never dumped her, actually, IMO, he made quite clear he wouldn't date anyone beside someone he already had in mind.

Something like that.

I lol'd so hard at the scenes where the Granparent's were teasing Kyousuke and Manami. They'd make such a good couple. Too bad Kyousuke is such a lazy douche who doesn't even have the will power to get laid.

Anyways, this probably is my favorite episode by now. Just because of MOAR Manami and LESS Kirino.

The episode lacked something... Lacked of Kirino and her antics and the Otaku related drama... But you know what... I'm happy with this episode since it had what I wanted it to have... an Episode to heal Kyosuke's soul and makes us forget for a while that bitchy Kirino. It was fun to see that little girl really missed Kyo dearly... I awwed every time she looked besides her and saw no one... also loved when she kicked his bedroom door xD

This episode is what we needed... I don't really care the excuse for Kyo's visit, but it was certainly a lame one, yet that was enough to make up a good memory off this episode. Really it was such a funny and easy to see episode that anyone could actually watch it without problems.

First of all grandparents were awesome... They're so fun to be around with. Tho I wouldn't ask for them being mines... I'm alright with my grandparents... But I have to agree that Gramps is quite lively and funny... Dude what kind of old man thinks that hard about others customs and festivities? Really that was rare look... a Japanese Bath with a Halloween event? that was new haha... and he became a zombie! xD That was one of a hell act of a Zombie... he actually made them think he was dead!!!

And so the intro scenes came... We knew a little more about Manami's family including her grandpas and her brother and even, looks like, her father... tho her father has nothing to do with Manami... maybe he is since he looks a bit like Iwao... Well whatever this lead to the "you two should marry gag" and the "let's hang around my room" not before an oggle to her legs (men can't stop being men unless gay), and have the common "talk about the past..." and then helps us out and lets have a meal

While the episode so far was cute and pretty normal, as far Manami really deserved her "Queen of Normal" here came the most hilarious moment of the whole thing... The let's bath together scene... Overall it was so unbelievable that I was hittin (lightly) my head lwith fists closed... I couldn't believe she asked for such thing and that he actually said such thing and that her plan backfired on her hahahah And everyone made fun of her... poor thing... She couldn't play with his super power... or whatever he called his thing hahaha

The whole I had a heart attack that made fall upwards was fun but I gotta admit that the scene afterwards was pretty... and heartwarming... You gotta love that girl... She wasn't even rejected but felt like, I gotta admit that, yet he gave a good reason to be single at the moment... I can't blame him either haha... But I do agree that the reply he gave to his friend was selfish! C'mon dude... she isn't your girlfriend... let her enjoy life... I guess is all up to the guy that dates her right? Hmm.. Great healing episode... what will come next then?

Signs,
Green

Going offtopic here--->

Is there an anime like this episode? Like the part where Manami and Kyousuke is just having the time of their life. without jealousy, harem and sh*t like that. you know?

Another example is toradora after they confessed to each other and started living together. I love those moments.
Bakemonogatari would sort of fit in that imo.
