Seems I was right about the death virus striking particular countries...unfortunate as it is, I think we should expect more before the end of the year.

RIP, Kawamoto-sensei.

I, along with other users, fought to allow his anime, along with other stop-motion titles, to be kept on MAL when the moderators wanted to remove them.

Winter Days was a unique and very pretty in a non-traditional anime style.

I still need to watch Sisha no Sho/The Book of the Dead. I should really get around to it soon.

Rest in Peace. Kihachiro Kawamoto

You'd be surprised how common that can be.

Now, in all seriousness: It's the third death in a short amount of time. Hum...

Anyway, may his soul rest in peace, and his ideas carried on.

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

For those who think this is the end don't bother, he lived a long life and is doing better in another place. The curse on anime only applies to the people dying young rapidly.

Now one of my crazy theories about 2012 (I don't believe in it, but I love making up crazy theories) is that everyone in the anime industry will die by 2012.

It's such a shame that not many people knew of his work, he will be greatly missed. I watched so many of his stop motion series, my favorite being "To Shoot Without Shooting".
