| My vote went to "I hated it" this time - it seems that my mood goes down as the season advances. :,D I should wait for the subs since based on the little japanese I understood from the raw, we are finally provided with some information about why the second series is able to even happen. But as for the episode itself, I don't think the production team could have done a greater job in fucking up the whole atmosphere set up by some of the first episodes of the second season. In my opinnion, this episode had too much fan service. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my fanservice in small portions, but some of the sequenses in the episode (such as Alois seducing Ciel and Hannah stripping from her dress) were just poorly executed and painfully akward - at least for me as a viewer. :| I approve of both ideas, but they just made me face palm when I saw them executed. However, I do approve of the fifth episode in some sense, since it finally gives the actual storyline some room to unfold. Hopefully the series isn't the taking the obvious direction I'm afraid it'll take. And I hope we'll be eventually able to learn more about the new master and his butler, since the past episodes aside from the first one have been all about Ciel and Sebastian. I swear, the first episode had so much promise. :< I loved how the atmosphere was mysterious and a tad sad, even. Fanservice factor was almost non-existant and we got to see both Alois' cruel and insecure side. The episode posessed many great qualities, which have since begun to fade. I hate it how the fifth one didn't even bother to be trhoughoutly coherent anymore. The supporting characters just ran around aimlessly, being mostly irritating, while I would have wanted to see what was going on with the main characters. I can't help being a bit disappointed at the moment. Luckily, this episode had Lau and Ranmao! <3 |

| As for Alois & Ciel's conversation..I can only translate (with my horrible japanese) that Alois wants Ciel for some reason.. | LOL. Fanservice! XD Kuroshitsuji II = FANSERVICE. It's like.... Kuro I anime is for more... light hearted people. Kuro II is for fujoshis. Kuro manga is for everyone who wants a real story. I like all of it. I loved this episode. Totally. But I want a Claude/Sebastian fight scene. A REAL fight scene. And that Hannah scene creeped me out. I watch Kuroshitsuji II for delicious shotas and butlers... not for tons of breasts. (Hannah, Ran Mao, Meirin AND Paula in this episode.) |

But the main point is that Alois IS evil, I admit it and I think he thinks lowly of women..but, he is kinda a mentally-ill child if you know what I mean. His past is all screwed up and he's completely lost in life.. Hannah's always so calm and obedient, I don't see WHY he would abuse her like that..he doesn't really seem to enjoy her pain that much..so I don't think he's a sadist...but I know that he DOES have anger management problems. I'm not really trying to support Alois in a "fangirl" type of way or wtv, but I just want to put my opinion out there. He's a mentally ill kid. |

| Yeah, but i'm not exactly an "alois person" But you can't neglect the fact that he IS a child and he IS mentally ill because of his past. He was not only ABANDONED by his family, but the people around him that he LOVED died out on him. That's why he has Claude, and that's why he depends on Claude for EVERYTHING. If there was no Claude, Alois would be EVEN more insane, heck, he'd be a MURDERER instead of an abuser. I think that some people who absolutely hate Alois for abusing Hannah in such a disgusting way don't think about that. They see him as a insane kid who goes around abusing maids. Perhaps further on in the story, as the plot progresses...people might finally accept Alois for who he is when they dig deeper into his past. We (as kuroshitsuji fans) understand everything COMPLETELY about Ciel's past, but we only know bits and chunks about Alois's. His mother suicided, father "disappeared", and he was in a village where he was forced to work and it got "attacked" by "fairies". We don't know that much about Alois to start labeling him as "the most-hated anime character" and a completely insane person who has no chance in being loved. Maybe, just maybe if alois actually ended up DYING, people would start pitying him. "Ohhh..Alois died..but I kinda feel bad for him since his life was all screwed up and that's what made him so screwed up..." "Ohhh..if only his parents were loving like Ciel's parents..maybe he'd turn out a more better person.." "Ohh...I never really thought about it..but Ciel is the person he is because of his "hate" and revenge..Never really thought about Alois..I always thought he was just a random sadist" There's a chance, but the staff of kuroshitsuji II would not simply make Alois the person he is. There's more behind his story. And I won't tolerate such a label on him, I'm sorry, but I just can't. |

I have to say, they are probably doing it for a reason, and if he suddenly has a change of heart or developed or evolves then it would make him that much stronger of a character. But currently to me it looks like he is on a downward spiral. Although this is just my opinion of him. Don't let it bother you too much. Everyone has characters that they don't like. To a certain point though, there will always be characters that people love to hate. Since I can't do anything about it either way, it is just my opinion of him as a character. I am in no position to sway masses it is just what I currently think of it. You can just brush my opinion off...for as I said it is just my opinion. I really do hope for the best. I would like to see him come around, in one way or another. |

I hope that in further episodes, the start to unravel more and more things about Alois, Claude, hannah, butlers..etc. rather than focusing mainly on Ciel "returning back" and "forgetting things" It's certainly interesting, but I still liked the dark atmosphere of the first episode as well. |

| i thought this was a great episode. wasn't upset about the hannah undressing bit because you realize that alois isn't even looking at her. as for the ciel/alois thing, every time alois tries to get someone to do what he wants he resorts to sex or a sexual allusion. after the abuse in the beginning of the first episode it makes sense. you do what you know. just like kids that see their parents steal do it and don't think it's wrong. if you think through what he's done (his most "evil" moments) they're all quite sexual. earciel is right, he's doing it to get some kind of reaction from claude (which never seems to happen). alois lashes out to create reactions (never what he wants) whereas ciel allows things to happen. yin and yang if you will. one is dark after all and the other is lighter in coloring. i was so mad when the episode ended. it was really starting to move along and then bang! over. haha. definitely left me wanting more. i've read all the manga and i love them, but through anime the creators can explore more avenues, change the original story line. no movie adaptation is exactly like the book or it wouldn't keep people interested. the creators would be bored. it's all about the impression the work has given you and going from there. i think this season is shaping up to be really interesting. have been a fan from the start and still am one now. who cares about fan service. not every viewer will be happy 100% of the time. we're all unique. as it's own creation i think this shows the ingenuity of the creators much of how lost led people on a "wild goose chase" it had one of the best endings in tv history. i don't think we'll be disappointed in the end. |

| Damn Alois...why do you have to be so sexy??? He was already quite good looking without boobs and stuff but in Hannah's dress he's mind blowing. And I can finally confirm that the dude is definitely gay. Hurray for some Alois x Ciel! xD Also I have to say that Hannah has a nice pair - both in the front and in the rear xD My eyes were feasting on her xD Ciel in a pirate costume was great and then the bit where Ciel appeared to be bald - I loled xD And Soma as Sherlock Holmes rocks lol I loved how Bard messed up the "Trancy" name. I liked how there is some kind of explanation though I don't know how Ciel recognized Alois as Alois and called him by his name when seeing him in that dress. Also I think that there is something "wrong" with the mansion and I think Ciel managed to hear voices from the past/future from it from the first episode. I don't really get that but I hope for more explanations in future episodes. 5/5 from me this time. So far its: 5/5,1/5,5/5,2/5,5/5 from me. Apparently next time I will get more of the Trancy dude...and more nosebleeds... |
Alois licking Ciel's ear stamp - I think Ciel was recollecting his memories from the time Sebastian brought Ciel (in a suitcase) to the Trancy mansion. Ciel states that "he has never been there before" but as he goes into the mansion, he gets this dizzy feeling and he hears voices from what happened before. Sebastian escaping with the tea box (that had Ciel's ring in it)... Alois saying, "OMGGG IT'S CIELLL" lol and Alois telling Claude to never leave him. ^^ & I totally LOL'D @ Ciel's bald head, xD |

We already got to see 20 something episodes of both Ciel and Sebastian last season, and as a rather odd case of fan, I really couldn't care less about the couple anymore. Don't get me wrong, I don't really hate the main protagonists, I have just always been somewhat indifferent about them. I have always loved the supporting characters more and in the beginning of this season, I was extatic that I actually loved the new main characters for a change - and look how that turned out. And the first episode, as I said earlier, held a totally different tune! :> I loved its darkness, and no matter how much people seem to hate Alois, I loved him for the arrogant brat he was. The 1st episode clearly gave us an idea that people had wronged him and he had seen his share of tragedy. I'm glad that the first episode didn't just take the most obvious way out and just underline Alois' viciousness without giving him a reason to be that way. Sure, being wronged in the past does not make it OK for him to be so cruel to his subordinates, but it is a reason. nontheless. People should take note that Alois is a boy of only 14 years of age and people so young can turn socially handicapped when they see many horrible things. Or, at least this is my view on him and I like him with all his defects. :> I just wish the producers would draw intrest to the series from such details rather than just smearing akward fanservice every place imaginable. Sure, people like it, but it doesn't mean it makes the series better. Quite on the contrary. But as for the fifth episode, I'm also hoping the next episode will be better. At least animation wise. I think this episode was badly animated for the most part. :< |

I thought they'd have an interesting explanation about bringing back ciel to life - that would reveal slowly but that didn't happen T.T oh well can't be helped .. it's nice to see the old characters back but this is a bit too much xD can't wait till the next episode is out, i'll finally see the epic battle between sebby and claude ^^ |

| After watching: I feel kinda the same way with some of you guys; parts of this eppy was killing the "WHAT?!" and the "HELL YEAH!" and the "F-YEAH!" moments... Personally, I thought after the flashback (like RIGHT after the flash/dizzy/"Sebastian?" *follows* moment) there would be a BOOM moment like something big happens right away, but I guess not if they go back to the ball (like in the preview). Hmm.. kinda disappointed... The subs this time on animecrazy.net is so much better than those in the past. The ending kinda let me down for some reason... The Intro was GREAT. Although, I voted 'I loved it', there's still that sense of "what the hell's going on? What happened to the excitement...?" So this is where it begins... Can't wait to see if they'll let us down or keep it up in the next eppy. EDIT: .... and it's pronounced (ah-loo-az)? not the french way of saying it?! (ah-lo-wah)? What the heck? C'est pas possible! I'm hoping they go back to that same atmosphere instead of providing us with random side stories. They are nice and all, but the main point of the story seems much more promising. |

| I really liked this episode; the previous ones were good, but this one was way better (at least I think so :D). I'm really glad that we now know for sure that Ciel has lost his memory, but I'm still dying to know, why didn't Sebastian eat his soul! I loved how Lau was totally clueless about Ciel's memory :D He didn't find it weird that Ciel treated him normally after last season's events? | Hannah really hasn't done enough for me to determine whether or not I like her. However, she may eventually be the one to open up a mega sized can of whoop ass on Alois before this series is over. Alois is loathsome, and that's why I like him. He's a mentally unstable, shota whore and that adds even more mystery and WTF to the series. With all the licking that was going on, I have no doubt that Alois probably wants to take Ciel on a wild sex ride. LMAO!!!! I believe ep 6 is going to be epic because of the butler death match that's going to happen. Can't wait!!! |

| God, now many things have been confirmed in this episode. Claude believes spiders are pretty much sacred; so no one must dare kill one. Alois loves cross dressing. Alois doesn't mind seeing women naked. Claude doesn't mind seeing a 'fellow' maid naked. Alois turns out to be interested in boys. Therefore he tried to seduce Ciel into his room. It turns out that Ciel was semi-awake in the trunk or the ring has special ability of 'replaying' events. Alois makes Ciel want to vomit. Alois is a playful bastard who went all like "Kiss my ass Ciel, my butler is going to win HA" Rival-ship between Sebastian and Claude is going to set this series on fire. Alois wants to be one with Ciel. Is it sex or is it that he wants to sew himself to Ciel like Angela did with both of Ciel's parents? Ciel refuses to look 'bald'. Agni and Soma are drama makers, they fit in for a comedy show too. That's not all, but if I go like this some people will die of boredom. So yea. Great episode, glad there wasn't much Lizzy in it. I hope everyone gets slaughtered especially Lizzy. Yes. I want her to die. |
