| For whatever reason, I found Rudo's reaction to Remlin's fireworks/Gob's death to be pretty great. So far, I do like both characters, and maybe I empathize with both of them - and not just because they lost someone important. Some people mistake it for being shallow, but celebrating to mourn is a very legit way of handling grief - because if anyone cared for them that much, the deceased WOULD want that, as a matter of course. People who wouldn't - tend not to have people that care for them - or the ones who do stop. Who the heck would want someone crying their eyes out unless they hated them? |

| First episode that didn’t do much for me. Trying to build up “sadness” in one episode is a rare art form and I didn’t feel Bones delivered it. Pretty art and animation though |

| Kudo finding Riyo on his bed at night when he's trying to wash off his hands, it's a surreal feeling alright. Going into No Man's Land, which they need to handle all of the equipment, it's either that, or drawing a spell for protection with an artist Giver's help. The destination: the City of Graffiti, Canvas Town, where people on the Ground are able to draw graffiti on wherever they like. And since they need to find Gob himself, to have him dead by body pollution by the warning of the city's mayor, it's a huge setback. The successor in question to receive Gob's pen and Spellcaster responsibility - Remlin Tysark, though for a kid as young as him to be the town's spokesperson after the famed artist's loss, him choosing to honour Gob's legacy and continue the legacy, the city of freedom and joy truly sings aloud. The city of freewill, shows one's belonging and diversity. |

| Rudo's interaction so far has been a bit immature, though, given that he's in his teens, it makes sense. But to be fair, most sane guys would react the way he did when a cutie like Riyo is suddenly lying around YOUR bed in the early morning all on her own. It's good that Riyo brought up the topic of Rudo's hands and her own implied bad history with her parents as a parallel to Rudo's own parents. Had she not brought those up and stayed silent without moving from his bed, Rudo would have for sure become speechless and slept on the floor or something, lol. Still, Riyo look cute with her hair down. What kind of haircare treatment did she use to maintain her hair? We know some givers can make food. Are there givers whose powers enable them to work as hairstylists? Lol, that in-house artist is definitely a self-insert of Ando Hideyoshi, the guy who illustrates the graffiti of this story. Bro does NOT like deadlines, it seems. Alright, this team is becoming more vibrant by the minute. The big burly guy doubles as the team's very own hype man; other than Zanka, it seems that everyone loves a bit of hyping themselves. Hopefully his speeches aren't just one and done for this one only... This is quite a chill episode considering there's not much action. I am a bit bummed they took up half an episode to grieve over this Gob goober when, sure, he is important and all, but he's basically the 'spellcaster-guy'. I'd much rather the time be spent with the current cleaners; we barely know about any of them, yet they know a lot about Rudo. On the other hand, we DON'T have to go on a tangent where Rudo goes out of his way to relate with this successor kid as a fellow 'inheritor' and convince the kid to take up the role as the spellcaster. Lol, the kid flipped the script and brought himself up, even announcing his presence with a bang figuratively and literally. The fireworks scene, along with the music is fantastic. I'm growing to like the OST direction more and more. |
