| If including only brand new series (new to this year), then Tasokare Hotel. If including continuing or returning pre-2025 series, then Arknights season 3. I've given this some thought as of late as I was just recently thinking that we're now officially done with the summer season and with that, past three of the four seasons of the year, yet I don't have a Top 10 of series list from this year yet which I usually start cobbling together and have some crude and rudimentary form of much earlier; obviously to be subject to revision down the line. But anyway, that made me conclude when I really thought about it that overall, at least up to now, while there have been a few standouts, this year as a whole (again, at least for new series anyway) has been weaker than 2024 and 2023 for me. Possibly/probably not as weak as 2022, but to me that was the weakest year for its anime series in decades. Actually, I think that if I wasn't omitting continuing/returning series, which I normally do, then my top favorites from the year would probably be all them: Arknights season 3, Reborn as a Vending Machine I Now Wander the Dungeon season 2, and The Apothecary Diaries season 2. Makeshift and likely later to be revised Top 10 for the new I stitched together midstream while posting this: 1.) Tasokare Hotel 2.) Ruri no Houseki 3.) Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte 4.) Sorairo Utility 5.) Kowloon Generic Romance 6.) Kijin Gentoushou 7.) Apocalypse Hotel 8.) Ballpark de Tsukamaete! 9.) Uchuujin Muumuu 10.) Leviathan Also, I fully expect at least three or four autumn series to be able to snag some of those spots and displace their series. |

| So far: 2025 - Tasokare Hotel, Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de, Kidou Senshi Gundam: GQuuuuuuX, Apocalypse Hotel, Kowloon Generic Romance, Ninja to Koroshiya no Futarigurashi, Shin Samurai-den Yaiba, Sentai Daishikkaku 2nd Season, Dandadan 2nd Season, Dekin no Mogura and Mattaku Saikin no Tantei to Kitara. Maybe I will add stuff like Sanda when more episodes come out. |

| Best anime of 2025? So far, it's either The Apothecary Diaries S2 or Takopi's Original Sin, but if Gachiakuta will remain on the same level for the upcoming episodes, then it will be my best anime of 2025 in my opinion. It also depends on how good the anime shows of the fall season will turn out. |

| Objectively speaking, Takopii's Original Sin is fantastic. I don't think we have ever seen a show not only be well-rounded, but excel on all fronts to the extent this show did. Subjectively speaking, I would definitely pick Apocalypse Hotel. It just connected with me in a way few other anime have. |
| Pretty Cure Kimi To Idol because it's the only anime currently in production that I'm watching, the first in years. Thank my beautiful wife Cure Idol (and the other wives of the series like Cure Wink, Cure Zukyuun and Mereron/Puririn in human form to making me stick to it) for convincing me in giving it a go to begin with. I usually prefer to watch older stuff. |

Been mostly watching shit that I actually own on physical media when I do have time to watch shit. But if I was to pick just one Anime that I have completed this year as the best so far, I would say "Clevatess". Which doesn't say much, since it's just seen by many as another trashy seasonal throw-away. Disposable and can be easily forgotten about. lol |
