Drank two beers on my 18th birthday and didn't touch it since then. I have stomach problems and really bad emetophobia, on top of that frequent migraines with dizziness and drinking alcohol only makes everything worse. I also prefer spending money on books or merch rather than drinks.

I am teetotaler. I have no interest in drinking, never have honestly. Originally that viewpoint, did come from my Calvinist background, now I just see alcohol as an unhealthy waste of money.

Basically nonexistent. I have some alcoholic beverages here and there, but generally, I hate the taste of alcohol. There's a joke I remember about how no one likes the taste and people only drink because life sucks, and I think that rings true. My life sucks, but apparently not nearly bad enough...Yet.

What's in the glass?
@Cybercat2000 Chianti. I know it's inappropriate glass, just got it from my grandma, like it a lot, use sometimes.

I rarely drink spirits, they somehow make me aggressive, dangerous even - unlike beer or wine.

I've never drunk alcohol, it's never appealed to me. The pitch for alcohol didn't seem especially strong: it tastes bad, makes you sick, and you may not even remember the "great" time you had. The many folks along the way who suggested that I'd be super fun if I were drunk or high also didn't help. What are they trying to say?- Am I not fun how I am? Come on!

I bake using vanilla/liqueurs and it's occasionally helpful in other forms of cooking.

I used to drink alcohol, although it'd only be 1 glass of wine or a can of beer, however i decided to lead a healthier life gradually cutting off all the obvious things like alcohol, processed snacks, energy drinks and sodas
Ever since i made that decision i feel much better even tho i don't really exercise aside from having long walks if that could be considered an exercise(not really but ok xD)
Many people were surprised i decided to quit drinking and i feel like from that point on some of them decided to drink less even tho i didn't really convince them to do so

I sat outside a local bar for a moment to just absorb the outdoor elements and man ....
On my walk I had lots of physical symptoms of anxiety from all the coffee I had this morning, if I had money I would have walked right into the bar with my cat and plowed down a couple pitchers.

I love alcohol.
I love the way it smells.
I love the way it tastes.
I love how it makes the smallest moments feel like a theme park attraction or IMAX movie.
I love how it makes music feel so euphoric.
I love waking up puking my guts out and the feeling of relief once I get a few shots down and it takes away all the pain.
I love alcoholism!
I wish I never tried alcohol and I could live a normal life without the mental obsession for drinking.

I don't drink regularly, but I do drink on rare occasions. These past few years I've decided that I want to try every type of alcohol, but I haven't gotten that far yet. I happen to own a drinking horn which my younger sister and I got when we first tried mead, but I haven't had the chance to use it since I finished that mead. I'll probably buy more the next time they come over since they didn't get to drink any last time. So far I would say that rosé wine is probably my favourite alcohol. My sister gave me a fruity wine for my birthday which is the best alcohol I've had so far, but I should try it again before I can confidently say it's the best one. I'm not particularly fond of red wine nor white wine, though I do like white wine mixed with orange juice. Apple cider was quite nice; beer was not. Sake might be the worst one I've had so far, but my brother-in-law's relative (?... I think they're relatives) said it wasn't even good sake, so I guess the issue there was the brand. My younger sister has had vodka, and IIRC they've also had champagne, but I haven't had those yet.

The last time I had alcohol was back in July, which was two months ago at the time of writing. Before that was in December of last year, and before that was in April that year. While I may be on a quest to try all kinds of alcohol, I'm in no hurry. I'm not a big drinker. Surprisingly, though I rarely drink, I seem to have a high alcohol tolerance since I've never gotten drunk. That either means I've never had enough to get drunk, or maybe I just do have a high tolerance.

I'm happy to see so many people here have a healthy relationship with alcohol or abstain. I drink socially to help my social anxiety, but I don't let myself get too drunk. (Don't want to embarrass myself.) At home I never feel the urge to drink. (I have an unopened bottle of wine still sitting in the fridge from some holiday a few months back.) That said, if my husband brings home sushi, nothing pairs better than some sake. And I'll never say no if my mom hands me a margarita.

My real vice is sugar :)

Nice...
Alchogol, yeah...
French vine with cheese, I prefer hard one...
or French vine with fruits maybe...
and some garlic bread, with olive oil...
Gorilka 40% - 60% with hot-pepper and honey - I prefer Nemiroff brand,
all this mixed in a bottle and preserved at least for a year...
Goes good with some dark bread, or italian bread,
but not ciabata, it goes good with vine and some olives...
And offcourse Vodka 40%, I cant suggest any brands bcourse most of them are fake...
Vodka goes good with liver salad, roast liver slices with cherry-tomato, full of fatty cream,
and some greek cheese, you add rafinated garlic some spices and plenty of fresh grass-salad(green onions ect.)
You drink 50grams of vodka and eat liver salad with sticks...
it ok...
I dont know...
What can I say...
Cognyak maybe... prerved for 3 years, maybe...
I am not sure if you can find French Cognyak somewhere out of France...
You drink Cognyak with nothig, just Cognyak - it is not Vodka sir\
only sigarets or sigar...

I've always maintained social distancing from alcohol.. I'm highly allergic to alcohol and extreme phobia.
But I don't rate American beer, it's capitalism, frizzy rice water not beer .
American beer uses rice up to 30% of its grist to create a lighter, taste.
this clashes with the Reinheitsgebot, the 1516 Beer Purity Law, which originally allowed only Water, Barley, Hops, (Yeast was added later

I have a lot of alcoholics in my family my father being one of them. He was not the nicest person and growing up, I knew I didn't want to be like him. He recently passed away at 74 due to complications from years of alcohol abuse and he suffered a lot at the end. He had trouble breathing, could hardly move, couldn't drink, eat, or even see.

I just like it more lyrically and melodically. About 25 years ago I would have said Mechanical Animals too, and I had it on repeat in my player, but now the only thing I can listen to from it is Coma White. And Antichrist Superstar I can listen to all the way through without getting bored.

Funny story: I have only been to a concert once and I caught a bottle that was thrown into the crowd - of course, everyone in our group saw it. Needless to say, later I "sold" that precious bottle to each of them separately on the condition that they keep it secret so the others wouldn't get jealous. The real one is still lying somewhere in my basement, haha.
