I've read the manga before and this gives Aharen-san wa Hakarenai vibes, at least for the main girl. Kashiwada and Oota definitely has chemistry though regardless how different they are. I think that's kind of the point of this anime..to pair up with two constrasting characters. The school life segments including the pool cleaning part were cute imo. |

Mangaka Fuyu Azuma's series that's just like Aharen-san wa Hakarenai in every bit of the inspiration, it's the banter that really makes it the way it is as a rom-com. Hashimero's OP is kind of good in spots. I mean, the title really gives it away of the relationship between the inexpressive Kashiwada and expressive Oota, where the latter tries to throw the former's game off at everything she does, like changing the contents of green tea with vinegar, all while Kashiwada maintains her monotone expression to piss Oota off all the more. This only causes Oota to rant as his friends of Sada and Tadokoro to need their help to "take down" the mysterious girl, though it only causes them to notice her expressionless behaviour all the more. From the class to the cleaning of the school's pool, trying to distract Kashiwada (though she's low-key interested in things like the sighting of a tanuki outside the school), the sad part is that she always does things alone, only for Oota to interfere (though to his usual failure) to play with his friends, and NGL this is fun to Kashiwada too, despite being scolded by the teacher on-site for their antics. Sangatsu no Phantasia's ED is also low-key good, I always love their songs dearly. Rom-coms this Fall are looking great now. I'm expecting more from this cute show. |

The most popular question is, is the male lead voiced by Bakugo guy, the answer is no. He's voiced by Kyohei Natsume, and this is the first time he play leading role, congratulations! I unashamedly admit that I love this anime because there are so many middleschool boys. |

Kashiwada is probably extremely happy Oota is playing games with her. Oota one friend pointed out how Kashiwada is by herself, so Kashiwada is probably extremely happy to hangout with Oota. Very cute first episode I like the premise so far and the short funny end segment at the end. |

This is so silly, I kind of like it. I would say the animators working on this have it easy except Oota-kun makes up for Kashiwada's lack of expression :D |

I'm enjoying how cute this is right now! I wonder if the slow pace of the episodes so far is purposeful, though. |

I see a lot of comparison to Aharen-san which is totally valid but I got a sense of Karakai Jouzu Takagi-san too. Seems like it’ll be a fun little show, and the theme song was pretty nice. Want to see more of Sangatsu Phantasia, seem like instant hits every time! |

This was pretty cute. And you can tell she enjoys all the attention. But whatever the MC does next, never let him play Poker with this girl, because she will take him to the cleaners. LOL |

Oota is straight up bullying Kashiwada lol Kashiwada is pretty like a doll with her expressionless face. But she's not really expressionless at all. She does laugh and seem happy seeing Oota's antics. Everybody do notice that. Kashiwada is lot like Aharen Reina. Oota is annoying by being too expressive but him being contrast to Kashiwada makes the show interesting. |

6/10 The art is average at best but the music was fun, the plot was more or less boring at the start but set into a good mood as time passes, or else this anime would be pretty bad... the gap moe of the girl saved the day, I'd say. |

Super cute premise when you don’t think about it but geeze some of his “pranks” really go more into bullying than teasing. |

I think the author misunderstood expressive/emotional with just plainly annoying/noisy, those are quite two different things, shouting every 10 secs is not enterteaning for me tbh also some jokes are close to just being bully lol, the last part of the episode was fine |

This was cute, premise alone its a pretty messed up anime when you think about it since its basically about a guy bullying a girl with presumably no friends. But naturally the way its portrayed is nothing like that. Kashiwada clearly likes the attention from Oota and they have a really fun dynamic so far. Plus while simple the animation/art style is really pretty. Simple but pretty plus the opening songs pretty good. Great first episode |

I was thinking Aharan San as well for Kashiwada. Don't they play old maid in that series as well at some point? But to be fair, it happens a lot in animes. Teasing Master Tagaki San as well with the way he can't best her. |

Why is that entitled boy so angry all the time? He's chasing crows (who are known to be vindictive), and plays juvenile, mean spirited pranks on the girl he obviously has feelings for. It's also unclear why the Aharen-san copy likes him at all. Even his friends try to reason with him, but he annoyingly goes on and on with his mayhem. I feel sorry for her, and feel annoyed by this show. |

@_MushiRock11_ The difference is that Kashiwada's phlegmatic nature is more focused on memetic facial reactions and punchlines, while Aharen's phlegmatic nature is more built on memetic interaction and male lead reactions. @dragynfaerie Lol, what? This show is about an emotional guy helping a phlegmatic girl open up by trying to evoke an emotional response in her, while she teaches him to be more sensitive and receptive. There's no bullying or even teasing here, it's a meme-driven, wholesome comedy. |

Well, that was certainly a choice for an mc personality in a romcom... That is if, like his friends said, he was in elementary school. Outside of that, characters like that are usually the annoying sidekick that's always in trouble and Forever Alone. Hard pass. |

Loved the prologue. It reminded me of Aharen-san Is Indecipherable. The heroines are practically identical, except for a few differences. Their voice volumes, slight variations in physique, and the fact that this anime actually has an expressive protagonist, haha. Unlike Aharen-san Is Indecipherable, where both the protagonist and heroine were completely expressionless, this one at least gives us a protagonist who shows emotion, haha. Super excited for the upcoming interactions between him and his heroine. |

@Reecey91 It's also got similar vibes to "When will Ayumu make his move", which I suppose makes sense given that's made by the same author that did Takagi-san. |

I thought this would be playful teasing like Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san but what Oota does is straight up bullying. Replacing the content of her bottle with vinegar is not funny. |

This is such a cute and wholesome first episode. Its slice of life feel makes it very relaxing and kept a smile on my face the whole time. I was thinking that at the start it was kinda like Aharen, but personally, I think this could be better. Can't wait to see how this progresses and how she could possibly become more expressive throughout episodes. |

I was afraid I would be put off by him more or less harassing her more than teasing, but her outsmarting him and obviously enjoying the attention saved it for me. Also great wingmen/friends who seem to care about both protagonists. Also I'm relieved I'm not getting too many Aharen-san vibes from the show. |
