I prefer sub 99% of the time, but the dub of Yu Yu Hakusho is so iconic and in m opinion fits the chracters better. This made me wonder other anime where dub fits the anime better than the sub, making the overall experience more enjoyable.

You can give popular anime, or less known anime.

I also personally love the Code Geass dub more, I think Johnny Yong Bosch's voice fits Lelouch perfectly.

Romeo x Juliet - VAs speak in a casual form of iambic pentameter

Black Lagoon

Baccano!

Cowboy Bebop

FMA

Emma A Victorian Romance got a dub that looked good

Dragon Ball - I am sorry I don't like Goku's JP voice. That ain't changing and I have nostalgia for the original dub. Also I really love the Faulconer OST, and recut with the Kai release is my ideal way to watch DBZ.

Yeah Edgerunners

Basically it's usually works that could benefit from a good dub due to setting (taking place in more international/usually anglophone settings). I will say, as someone who still plans to watch Chainsaw Man subbed, I was actually quite surprised how good the dub was. On par with the Japanese.

Well that's on sub watchers for getting triggered about people watching dubs. They can simply not post you know, since they don't think there are any. I watch 95% of anime subbed, and I can admit there are some good and fitting dubs.

Non Asian dub:
Cyberpunk Edgerunners I prefer the Polish one over Japanese, while English is good but I would rather Japanese.
While for Romantic Killer is the same but mainly because of cast choice as Japanese voices just doesn't appeal to me to the age of characters while in Polish it is more grounded.

Asian dub:
So far I only choose To be hero X Japanese dub over original Chinese.

I mean, the most well-known is the Ghost Stories dub it made anime a lot more popular than it was before.
I don’t think it’s better, but Saiki K. has a very good dub that actually suits the humor as well as the original.

I think, generally, comedy show dubs are better just because different languages tend to have different comedic timing and inflections. So like the Saiki K dub, I think that's a lot funnier than it is subbed.

Ghost Stories; Panty & Stocking. That's about it.

The Cowboy Bebop dub is massively overrated.

I mostly watch anime in Japanese audio without subs, but I just tried the first 2 episodes of Bofuri season 1 in English dub and it was great!
Is it "better" than the original? I don't know, does it even matter if it's enjoyable?
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

My personal favorite anime dubs are:

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Luckyโ˜†Star

Kill la Kill

Full Metal Panic!

Spice and Wolf

Idk if they are necessarily better then the JP dub but they're equal.

Edit: I really decided to write JP dub when I could have just said sub...

@billybub

In Animatrix dub some of the characters were voiced by the actors who portrayed them in the movie, making it more authentic than the "original audio". Same logic can be applied to Supernatural anime where the main characters were voiced by the same guys who portrayed them in the original show. There are some other similar examples as well, but I think I've made my point.

As a fan of Dr. Stone, the official subtitles are genuinely awful and stripped back a lot of elements of the character's speech patterns that made them unique. Gen's syllable-swaps were removed, catchphrases were inconsistently translated, and overall it felt like a more sterilized localization for clarity rather than trying to accurately give English speakers the same experience as Japanese audiences. The dub meanwhile actually solves these issues by making Gen speak in pig-latin and having Chrome call things "baaaad" to translate his catchphrase consistently while keeping the leniency of it being able to be used in a positive or negative context (as is in it can be used as either "badass" or "awful"). The dub just showed more care of keeping the character's personalities intact which I would argue is an important thing in a series like Dr. Stone where there are many colorful characters with quirky personality traits, so to see them actively gutted in the subs just makes the dub the definitive way to watch for people who are not fluent in the Japanese language.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners is my all-time favorite dub; rest are in no particular order
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Monster
Code Geass
Hellsing Ultimate
Dragon Ball (Z not so much but by the time FUNimation got around to doing the original series they had stepped up their game)
Berserk

It's exceedingly difficult, if not impossible, to evaluate the voice acting of a language that the person in question does not speak. They have no way to pick through the nuances to separate a "good" job from a "bad" job.

Yu-Gi-Oh, DM and GX. 4Kids understands the inherent absurdity of the premise, and hams it up accordingly while throwing in funny zingers. Sub for DM is more self-serious while still not accurately representing the manga story in many ways (e.g. Kaiba being less of a jerk compared to manga and 4Kids dub).

I would say the GX dub is inferior by virtue of being incomplete. I would recommend it if 4kids had dubbed the whole thing.
