Looks like they're getting to stopping all the magic corruption going around.

But yeah, an entire city at risk and it's up these witches including Meg to defend it. I love how they did bring all the relevant cast back for this episode and setting up for the season finale. Meg really has matured and became someone to count on as a witch.

That cliffhanger with Eldora after the ED doesn't predict much good.
We have only one episode left tho.

Megu saving both the girl and the island was nice i wonder if she made a name for herself.
Also she found a way to create cat girls which is a good achievement.

“Because I am Meg raspberry, the witch beloved by the whole world” ahhh that’s just my MC casually stopping an entire fucking ocean and saving the city of Aquamarine. The last 5-6 minutes got me so emotional 😭 I’m so proud of Meg. Between this, saving the guardian tree and curing Sierra’s stage 4 magic contamination she has truly cemented herself as one of the legendary witches.

If casting spells with emotion makes them stronger there’s no better person to entrust the fate of a person’s life or a city to than Meg because this girl runs on raw emotion lol. I’m so happy Sierra is cured and can live a normal life now, but honestly she should keep the fox ears they’re cute!

I knew Tethys spell and bell would be relevant in this arc, but what caused the ocean to become unstable and almost destroy the city? I wonder if it’s related to the witch we met at the festival a few weeks ago. The post credits scene was a bit ominous!

Peep how upset Sophie is that Meg went off on her own to save the day after Sophie told her she wasn’t leaving her out of her sight 🥰 they’re so cute. Can’t believe we only got one more episode of this left ugh I’m not ready for it to end! This had a movie like feel to it, such a good episode

With the final episode coming soon, there were a few plot holes which needs to be discussed.

If we look back at episode 1, there were six shadow figures who represent as the Seven Sages, five of them had been reveal, but the figure with the staff and had hat shaped like archbishop, still haven't reveal.

And Episode 8 was about devil worshipping, but isn't there any Sage who represent as the "Ministry of Justice & Magic Rights", a good organization that take action and punish those who misused magic without obeying the law, example producing illegal magic, using unlicensed spell, and of course worshiping evil is not allow. Isn't what Faust should have done, she should have contact them before rescuing Meg and punish the husband/father. If he was apprehend alive, they could have find the other evil worshippers and stop them for good.

This isn't just about saving people from dying, but it should also include preventing crimes as well.

Meg saves an entire town, and all she got from it was one crystal? The quest is rigged! That town/city probably has over 5k people. Come on, man!

"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.

This might be one of the best episodes of the entire Spring season, if not the best. Every anime that invokes some sort of strong emotion out of me usually gets at minimum a score of 8/10 and this episode certainly did it for me. I'm going to be raising it to a score of 8.

10/10 episode. I feel this episode was way too strong to not be finale, they should have left off with this.

Meg's a treasure! Saves the kid with incurable illness, then saves the entire city!

Who wouldn't want someone like Meg around?!

Suddenly getting all the tears doesn't seem that impossible! And we also have the doctor who'll try to help Meg.

Eldora know shit's gonna hit the fan though. That what pisses me off. It always comes down to unescapable fate. She got spoiled and knows how Meg's story goes on and what happens next. Many assume Faust will die and I lean towards that as well.

Only 1 episode left... I'm already feeling sad. The show has great potential. Wouldn't mind diving deeper in this universe and learning more, even if it's a spinoff series.

For sure, Jack is trying hard to find a cure for a young boy suffering with magic corruption, but with how fast the magic disaster is gradually spreading (as such with a family caught up in it, with their son only surviving but on the verge of death), time is of the essence to leave them dead, or do something about it, which is what Meg desperately wants to do: to save the life of the young boy of Sierra while at it, which proves to be a success (well...except for the cat ears).

However, with Chloe's update of Aquamarine's due of the city being battered by natural disasters, and with a somewhat vague call from Faust, Meg can only do the near impossible alongside Jack to save the people around them and get to high ground as possible. And as much as the magic tsunami feels intimidating on its sheer scale, the subtle word from the guardian witch Tethys, who've placed glyphs all around the city for protection, activates the Bell of Blessings to protect everyone out of emotion, which they owe her a great deal of debt for the work to save a city in trouble.

Honestly, the anime could've just ended here, and this would make for a strong ending to the show.
With the finale to go, where will Meg go from here? The Witch of Calamity only has the answer to that...

Interesting how the bottle of tears is just about full, nothing like saving a city from a tsunami to assist in that. With only one episode remaining I doubt that this will get a conclusive ending, especially with that mysterious lady Eldora that was briefly shown a few episodes back returning. I recall her giving Meg an ominous warning about her life being saved costing her a big sacrifice so hopefully a 2nd season is announced shortly after the finale.

Meg's really become such a amazing character over these episodes and I love that when curing the kid they didn't just give Meg some bs emotions were she cared for the kid but instead channelled Jacks emotions. I thought that was a cool touch

If only they treated this anime like Frieren, Dandadan, etc, the Bell-ringing scene would become more impactful. Even with this decent quality of animation, it still brought me to tears. This anime deserves a 7-8 scale of ratings. Let's see how's the 12th episode will be like.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

If it's not the power of love or friendship, it's the power of emotions. Everyone else must cast spells completely dispassionately (possibly actually true of Sophie).

They've really sped through Meg's character development and tear collecting towards the end. I guess we'll see if they have time for her to marry her waifus in the final episode.

@Janethan23 that one crystal is from sophie alone, if you compare meg's bottle from after give that girl a cat ears and after saving the whole town, you see the crystals in her bottle has significantly increased, i think its almost 1000 now

Are you referring to when the witch Inori says "Even with members of the Seven Sages, four mages won't be enough."?

At least in the dialogue of the English subbed version, that's how it goes.

Wait, are they saying that Meg's feelings for a girl she knew for a few hours were stronger than Jack's feelings to save his patients from the illness that killed his wife? What the fuck.
Bro wasted his life trying to do something a girl managed to do with the power of friendship.
I know this is about friendship and feelings, I know plot twists like this are to be expected, but I hate when they compare the power of friendship to the power one could get by pure will.

Anyways, the episode was good regardless, seeing Meg flying in a broom was nice.
It feels like cheating tho, getting so many tears over stuff like this, it's like if Meg needs disasters so she can help and get rewarded with tears lol

@Ego_Altar agreed she already has proven herself to be respected in having a title and her feats this week saving a small city + healing magic cancer

even though she did get enough tears by the look of things im still holding out on this was just a test to make Meg grow as a person not just as a witch which she has

best looking episode so far too

I love this episode. It's great. It's just that this episode might have had a greater impact if split into two episodes. Today's episode could have been the finale with an announcement of a second season.

The challenge for next episode is that it should have a greater impact than this episode or have a great cliffhanger that will make us crave for a second season.

By the way, by focusing on the bottle, it seems Meg got a lot of tears, though it would have been better if that was dramatised by her getting so many tears at once.

Totally calm in the face of a 500 foot tsunami wave breathing down your neck that takes some doing, good for you Meg! If I'm honest it all seemed a bit to easy for her. What happened to that carefully cultivated sense of impending doom the first few episodes spent building up? Sold out for a feelgood finale I'll wager. Ah well, you can't fight it I guess.

Man, as someone who has played The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, that ringing bell felt so ominous! And I'm kinda miffed that Meg didn't get more than about 200 tears for saving the entire city and everyone in it; there must be at least 1,000 adults there, right? Even if not all of them cried with joy at not dying, I feel like the proportion should be more than 10-20%, right?

Also, the timing of the tsunami was extremely suspicious, happening seemingly within hours of healing that hitherto incurable child. I feel like they might be connected, but if not, I hope that they at least explain it somehow.

And we got some more blessed screentime with Mary's mother! I know it's a tad crass to say so, but she's an absolute bombshell, and definitely a MILF

Yay, Meg did it! It's cool to see her succeed and make a name for herself doing good. It looks like she got a lot of Tears of Joy, but they didn't really show it entirely. Emotion powering spells more is cool, though it also seems sort of weird that nobody knew that recently - that would be kind of hard to ignore I'd think. It was cool to see the doctor using his emotions to save that kid instead of just having everything about Meg too. I don't understand what "reincarnation" means in this setting - it seems like someone is immediately recreated in a new but similar form? How will the final episode pan out? I'm guessing there will be a minimum of a second season.
