Shin catching up his past and old stories. Somewhat refreshing that he isn't with his usual party members this time around although they do appear on screen.

And plus, we got a duel between two old friends.

Man, just watch this episode, it might not be the most incredible adaptation or the most incredible scenarios, but man, if you don't cry and don't get emotional, with Girard's speech, his fight against Shin and that impeccable ending, you're living wrong, Watch this episode because it alone makes you fall in love with the work.

Man was it just the episode I grabbed, or is the animation quality this episode piss poor? It looks so bad. Every other episode looked great this season

Yeah, it's a shame as a fan of the light novels and manga since this is one of the better moments in the story. They really tried to cut costs on this one though. Putting the 2nd-string team on the field doesn't begin to describe it. Some of the still frames look like the kind you'd put up on the fridge just so your 8-year-old would feel proud.

My favorite is pausing it as Schnee runs to Shin toward the end of the episode after the duel. Not only is she proportioned like a giant, but her feet are flesh-colored boots.

The two studios picked a lot of Animes this last year, and are currently running another one at the same time this season, with the production being in shamble, needing to delay the episodes by 2 weeks... Not looking good, to be honest.

Don't come after me because at the end of the day this is just an opinion.

This episode was fucking shit lol. The quality of the animation was horrible, the show wasn't going to be amazing by any means but the animation hasn't been this poor at all so far.
The story was fine to say the best. stuck mostly close to the manga but the sentiment didn't exactly feel right but that may just be me. dialogue is both cheesier and more weird than before and the voice acting was ok AT BEST.

hoping we see some improvement from here on, at the very least I hope the budget they were missing on this episode is being saved for a banger down the line.

The quality of the animation in this episode was bad, like wow. It fell off out of nowhere.

Ignoring that, the episode was alright.

I'm glad to see the fight between Shin and Girart animated.

What's more memorable is the scene were as Schnee hugged Shin saying:
"You look like you're about to disappear somewhere.
I'll do anything.
If there's anything I can do for you, please tell me."

But the most saddest of all would be Shin confirming his feelings to Girart, that he would rather return to his old home/world rather than with the world he is currently in and be with Schnee.

P.S. Yeah, the animation sucked, but what can we do?! ๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜–
The only relief I can find in this series is Schnee's lovely voice, character, and beauty.
And also the lovely ED.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

that was a tough wish to ask and even tougher to fulfil. girart knew what he wanted, so shin can't really deny him of that; he has lived a long life waiting for the day to come to see his wish fulfilled and it happened.

And they decided to have a Duel... Final duel before the old companion "dies"

.

LOOOL @ Tiara's face when MC was "fixing the gloves"

.

Bro better bring Schnee with him if he goes back to his old world

You say that like MC has control of the "game system" and his "Isekai"... lol

Dude isn't in control, whatever happens he probably won't be able to control it, so if he does somehow find a way to head back to Earth, he probably can't bring any of the "Digital Data Characters" into the Real World.

Unless OFC, they somehow pull a "TRON"...

Also... with how Shin seems to really want to return back to Earth... I wonder if he already have a GF on Earth. Maybe that's why he isn't really "attracted" to Schnee or Tiara "romantically".

AKA, he wants that 3D puss, instead of VR puss.

This was an emotional episode and finally an actually interesting one. Girart's final wish was to die fighting his master and he made that happen in the most flawless fight of the series so far.

It was obvious who the winner was but Girart steeled himself and managed to get a hit in. The ending scene was a good conclusion to the battle, a kingdom wide funeral ceremony.

I like how this is the approach New Gate has taken instead of focusing on a no name bad guy. Good episode 7/10

Shin meeting up with Girart and his group, and catching up on the past as fellow high humans, it's some buddy time before the latter meets his natural death. And for that, Girart wanting to duel with Shin for the last time, he lets his followers know and respect his condition, even putting it on display in honour of his name. The duel betweem old friends, it's one for the ages.

Even after 500 years, Girart still could not progress over Shin, which pits him to push his beastly form in order to land a hit on him. And within that same timeframe, Shin has gotten way stronger, to be able to send him to the afterlife with no regrets.

This may not be plot armor, but at least it has heart.

Shin catches up with an old member of his party and get to duel as a dying wish of the old member. The fight are unreal and hope Shin will do right by it. Another thing to ponder is what Shin can do with Schnee if Shin can go back home one day.

Of course, suddenly some drama content xD

This anime is better and enjoyable if it sticks with its feels good vibe.

The drop quality in art and animation hit hard in this episode. I hope it won´t be this bad in the next episodes.

I don't care how the adaptation is, whether the animation is bad or the overall rating for this anime is low, but a sad episode is a sad episode. I love every single thing in this episode and they all made me cry. Real cry T^T

Alright, I was not expecting an emotional episode like this from this anime. I didn't care about animation or whatever, the emotions writer managed to put into characters were well done.

I think because of this episode alone, I'll rate this show 7/10 in the end.
