@ninka22 looks, charm, hot body, you name it
@CarbonMD Hot Body? lmao. Do you realize that's your personal opinion and not everyone agrees. Taiki prefers Chinatsu's charm, body, and personality. Just because someone doesn't like what you like doesn't make them blind.

You can have Hina. Taiki will have Chinatsu.

Chinatsu is beautiful

What did he say? WHAT DID HE SAY?! I hate it when whispers are silenced, it just makes me even more desperate for the next episode!

Hina and Chinatsu were gorgeous in their Snow White and maid outfits. The "date" between Chinatsu and Taiki was really sweet, this gives Taiki a chance, but now Taiki has to step in as the lead actor of the play, how convenient! Nishida is one hell of a psychic.

As adorable as Taiki's little concert date with Chinatsu was, did he really think the best time to ask that would be in the middle of a song she literally just got hyped up for?

Always thought it was a shame Taiki didn't get an acting role in the play, so I couldn't be happier about his surprise casting call.

There's even a live music specifically for this episode, what a top-tier production! The story is not top-tier though.

THIS EPISODE WAS WHOLESOME.

It was full of Chinatsu and Taiki's chemistry, and I loved that. It's cute to see Chinatsu trying to be closer to Taiki more and more, and Taiki not understanding that, not because he doesn't "see it", but because he doesn't think that Chinatsu could ever share the same feelings he does. it's interesting to see that Taiki understands that she pratically invited him for a date, but starts overthinking it and saying things like "I must have imagined it", like, boy, you were very clearly awake and well.

Things are getting harder for Hina... Fortunately, the anime universe decided to help her, and made the prince of the play have an injury, and now they need a new prince, that is obviously going to be Taiki. Honestly, I was expecting them to go with Kyou, to throw us a curve ball, but it seems that we are going with Taiki, which is not surprising, at this point it would be weird for a romance anime to not pull this strategy. Once again, this might cause some problems between him and Chinatsu, because he did say multiple times to Chinatsu he wasn't going to be acting, but I hope Chinatsu understands that it was something in the last minute.
Curious to see how this will play out, and how Taiki is going to kiss Hina (in the cheek) in front of Chinatsu...

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE. They are always ending on cliffhangers!
Also, finally back on track with this anime! Can't believe we only have 6 more episodes to go, and the purple haired girl from the opening didn't appear yet.

The festival arrangements were perfect, but Taiki had a lot of responsibilities. I’m sure Chinatsu had a great time talking and being with Taiki.

I wonder who is gonna kiss Hina. If it’s Taiki, I don’t think Chii would be pleased.

She definitely said something like "its because I like you" in his ear right?

Anyway, we get the famous cultural festival episode that no romance anime is completely complete without. I kind of expected Taiki to end up having to play the prince. Its pretty common to have this in a romance anime where the prince gets injured and the lead has to step in. After next weeks episode, I imagine that Chinatsu is going to be fairly upset but even more motivated to express her feelings, same with Hina. I won't be surprised if she instigates the kiss herself somehow either with the lights flashing off and she makes her move, or something else like a trip and fall kind of thing. One thing i'm sure of, the kiss will probably happen for real, even though it won't be planned, and Chinatsu will see it.

Episode overall was decent. Its hard to ever say the school cultural festival episodes are ever good because they're literally all the same almost and usually bring nothing new and unexplored, but for the most part it was a decent version of a vigorously explored concept in romance anime. We still have next weeks episode, part 2 of the festival which I anticipate will probably be the most interesting development episode so far. See you then.

Its finally time for the culture fes huh. Damm Hina looked gorgeus in that dress. Haryu and Karen's fes outfits was nice. Between Hina's snow white dress and Chi's maid outfit this fes really is stimulating. Would had been nice to see Karen go and listen to that band though. I guess Taiki subbing to be the prince in the play is the big trial that he has to overcome.

Obviously how unexpected!! Taiki playing prince opposite to Hina who could have guessed that. Unbelievable!!
This show sure loves it's drama...

Anyway even as ardent Hina hater have to admit she looks beautiful in that snow white dress.
But as always Chinatsu at maid dress have her beat.

Glad to see Taiki having time of his life enjoying concert with Chinatsu. Nice blueballing too, for a rare occasion when she tried to flirt/tease

She is so cute...😭♥️

They are so alike; running and shooting hoops in a public area on a cultural festival day because the gymnasium is closed.

Kishi didn't come to Eimei for a badminton rematch (although he heard the news that Taiki beat Yusa), but to see Chinatsu. They are led to the café in Haryu's classroom. Although Chinatsu said she wouldn't be serving, plans appear to have changed as she serves in a stunningly cute maid uniform (the sparkling effect is too much!). She gets hit on by customers until her basketball teammate in the butler maid uniform saves her. Kishi, not knowing who she actually is, chugs orange soda like it's alcohol (great business for butler Haryu!). Taiki takes a breather as hearing Chinatsu turn down an invitation from Karen to see the fashion show means she is keeping the promise from earlier.

He waited anxiously and decides to go in, she showed up just in time for the light music club's first song and notified Taiki, who had had doubted if really said it, with the cut tug on his clothes. Seeing his first concert together with her was no illusion. They have some adorable interactions enjoying the music, but it is rather loud. Arrrrgh Chinatsu's answer remains a mystery to the audience. Confirming when Taiki's class's play will be was certainly a deflection. Chinatsu wants to get a good seat even if Taiki isn't scheduled to appear on stage because he still worked hard for it.

Just as Chinatsu said she wouldn't be a maid but did, with the current prince being injured, Taiki has to play the lead opposite Hina's snowhite... which means doing the kiss scene he tried helping Hina rehearse for.

I mean...still time to tell Chinatsu that he will be acting after all??? If he doesn't, it might result in the festival misunderstanding again; thinking he's lying so Chinatsu wouldn't see him and Hina together.

EHHHH!!!? Emergency Prince Taiki is here to the rescue. Nishida Senpai's prediction coming true. What a GOAT. Other than that, it was a great episode, we got to see Chinatsu and Taiki's little concert date. It was cute. I wonder what Chinatsu said at that moment to Taiki. But, the big matter at hand is that the Prince is not available and it seems like Taiki might have to come to the rescue.

Hina, my sweetheart looks so gorgeous. An actual princess. What a beauty.

Of course Taiki tells Chinatsu that he isn't in the play only to find himself playing the part of the prince, this after he had told her that he was going with a group of friends to the summer festival from a few episodes back. Hopefully Chinatsu realizes that this is out of his hands too although I wonder how she will react if Hina has a real kiss with Taiki....

Someone gotta tell Taiki not to talk during a concert lol, he definitely had chomper vibes there. Jokes aside, what a great school festival episode this was, “Honey Lemon Soda” also had one this week (forget the fact I’m behind a week on this show lol) so it’s nice getting another example of a great one here. Lots of great moments, Hina was looking absolutely beautifully in her princess costume, as was Chinatsu in her maid costume, poor Taiki and Kishi weren’t gonna make it lol. And even though I made fun of Taiki for talking, the concert bit was really good, the vibe in the room was so chill and it was a fantastic moment for Chinatsu and Taiki, it’s a shame what she said to Taiki went unheard but at least he had the balls to ask her why she invited him.

But… unfortunately they had to go for the incredibly predictable situation where Taiki takes over the Prince’s role in the play, don’t get me wrong tho, I’m still excited to see how this play goes down with this new development, but I just hate that it was so easy to see coming lol, really tho the most important thing is how well this cliche is done, I don’t mind that it was easy to predict if they nail the execution, guess I’ll find out soon enough.

Okay, so what about Taiki choosing Hina so Chinatsu can be with the show's actual MC, Nagisa? Sounds about right and everyone wins this way.

Anyways, cute episode with Taiki and Chinatsu having a pseudo-date during the Cultural Festival.
Cliches this time were kinda amusing, btw. Though I wonder if Chinatsu is gonna think Taiki has lied to her again when she sees him playing the prince role.

The cultural festival in full succession, and Hina in her full Snow White dress is pretty enough, Taiki can't take off his eyes off her. Of course, there's Chinatsu dealing with her own class stuff doing a maid cafe, and Taiki just spending time with her on her usual basketball practice, as well as keeping him in anticipation for what's to come for the festival. But seeing Kishi visiting Eimei, plus Haryu and his model girlfriend Karen, both he and Taiki defintely getting lovestruck by Chinatsu in a maid outfit, and her best friend Nagisa helping to cut her off from people wanting her contact, Kishi really is hurting his heart lols.

It's clear that Taiki is anticipating his date with Chinatsu seeing a music band, though she came late with her maid outfit still on. And within the midst of the high-octane hype and the music, Chinatsu wanting to tell something to Taiki, is something that bugs him, but time with the Senpai he likes isn't all that bad, right? Nishida being a fortune teller is kinda funny, but him being able to foretell Taiki's future of a trial before him, it looks as if his fortune telling does the trick. And it soon is reality that their class prince got hospitalized, leaving the Prince role open but urgent of the taking.

Yelp, Taiki being forced to take that position...it truly IS a tremendous trial before his very eyes.

It is the school cultural festival episode. So expect the usual.

Taiki and Chinatsu have their moments. Taiki has to play the prince in the play which Hina is the lead. So guess Taiki wins on both fronts which confuses him even more.

Chinatsu has been the only one making the moves. I consider myself team Hina, but can Taiki do something already man..

And then there's Hina who hasn't gotten any answer to her confession yet even though everyone knows Taiki likes Chinatsu.

Pretty lighthearted episode. It was a fun one. Highlights: Hina tried out her costume, which looked amazing. And Taiki was pretty surprised. After school, Taiki went running, and ran into Chinatsu, who was practicing basketball in a park. She invited him to a 2nd year class's concert. Turns out Chinatsu had to be a waitress in her class's cafe. She was wearing a maid outfit, which shocked Taiki and Kishi. Karen asked Chinatsu if she wanted to go to a fashion show at the same time, but she said she had plans. So on to the concert! They enjoyed it a lot, but Taiki asked Chinatsu why she invited him. He didn't hear what she said, but I think she may have confessed something. He asked her to repeat it, but she didn't. What did she say??? After the concert, Taiki went to the room where they are preparing for the play, and it turns out the girl playing the Prince got injured and went to the hospital. Perfect timing! Although not shown, I'm sure they asked Taiki to act as the Prince.

I really think Chinatsu may have confessed that she likes him. Maybe. I don't know, but maybe. And now that Taiki is going to be the Prince, this is going to be complicated!

I have a problem with everytime there is progression with Chinatsu and Taiki's relationship we go at least two step back. It very obvious who is main couple he doesn’t like Hina but he cannot even give her a no as an answer which is cruel to her and Chinatsu. Putting someone who gonna lose this much in front is strange for me the anime dont give me even a doubt that Hina is not gonna be with him. I would prefer at least slight doubt. A great example would be how Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru did it. Some people was preferring Yukino some Yui but we did pretty much equal amount of development to some point. We get to much Hina and a lot less Chinatsu (well we finally get her more in last 3-4 ep) but till when?

Mostly its just me who thinks like this

apple didn't fall too far from the tree considering how Taiki told Chinatsu the exact same words from his mother to himself. Overall a good episode, it was hard to fail a cultural festival one, even if i was almost thinking they would have somehow gone to different concerts and failed to meet. She looked so good as a maid (Hina as Snow White too, even if expected a wig). What a final twist, even if it seems illogical if he has zero training for the role.

@ninka22 Nothing deep, just a personal opinion since I don't care much for Taiki and Hina's the main reason I haven't dropped this show. Hina's knowingly waiting for a guy who won't look her way/likes someone else, so she obviously deserves someone who actually likes her back.
@Xiao Why don't you like Taiki?
I think this show did a great job in portraying both Hina and Chinatsu and their different personalities, charisma, charm etc.
It's done so well it feels real. Hina deserves better yeah but you can't change someones feelings.

@sockerdricka Meh it's not that I don't like him, it's more like I'm indifferent to him. He's not a very interesting character to watch (I feel the same with Chinatsu), though I suppose I appreciate how realistically his character is portrayed. I agree with you on the rest, for the most part, although part of why I also don't particularly care for Chinatsu is cause she seems a little too "perfect" of a woman.

Chinatsu is beautiful but she isn't perfect. I don't think she's portrayed as such either but I also hope the show has something more in store to expand on that.

I'd almost argue Hina is more "perfect" in the show, flawless looks and super athletic performer. Knows what she wants and tries to go for it so you can't help but root for :)
