I don’t. At that point, I’d rather just drink plain old cold water.

Does anyone here love sugar free sodas?

Regular Coke tastes better, but I don't really care because I mostly drink regular water, milk and sometimes tea.

"Let me remove the natural sweetener and replace it with artificial carcinogenic ones because calories bad"

Without sugar, most of the carbonated drinks taste awful anyway, so at that point you might as well just drink water. You don't want to be like that one guy who doesn't drink but orders non-alcoholic beer on company gatherings because he is too insecure to go for something he actually likes.

@Spunkert

I know that this has become a meme, but liberal arts doesn't always mean stuff like gender studies or modern art. Originally, it is meant to include trivium (grammar, rhetoric, logic) and the quadrivium (arithmetic, geometry, music, astronomy), but nowadays a liberal art degree could mean pretty much anything that isn't engineering, medicine, or business-related, and even overlaps with many "STEM" disciplines. It also depends on the institution itself since many prestigious universities like Harvard will put a Bachelor of Arts on your Science/Math degree while others will put Bachelor of Science for a similar course.

But yeah, diet coke has some hipster vibe to it.

Zero suger soda are good as a chaser for vodka or to drink while on hungover. Any other options are a disaster choice as it tastes bad.

Not normally, unless something's added to it. Diet Pepsi's better, though I still prefer it with something added, like some lemon and stevia.

Though normal Pepsi and Coke taste like shit, and I'd rather drink Pepto Bismol than either.

Why “Diet Coke” specifically?

I don't. At one point, I could tolerate them. I used to drink Sprite Zero. But nowadays, I can't stand the taste. Plus, they're not any healthier than sodas with sugar in them.

I don't drink a lot of sodas, but will choose sugar options. However, I am ok with drinking sugar free too.

I'm addicted to energy drinks, and only drink soda as an alternative when I want to save money.

The taste of cola isn't to my liking; I usually opt for citrus soda like Mountain Dew.

I can't stand the artificial sweeteners and other crap they put in diet versions. In addition to tasting worse, they make me feel terrible, so I avoid any carbonated beverage that's diet, zero sugar, zero calories, etc.

Yup, I think its good - that is of course if dieting and weightless is important to you. Strictly dieting related, it is a good option. But I mean if your thinking health in general, then no... I think its been pretty well documented the correlation between artificial sweeteners and cardiovascular related health issues.

But, in all fairness it DOES do as intended. Diet coke has basically 0 calories so it is good from that perspective.

Taste is another thing completely tho. I literally couldn't tell you the difference between regular, no sugar and diet. I do however, like the silver can more than the others. So its nicer to look at while you drink.

Drinking too much sugar is not healthy, and you sort of get used to the taste, where regular soda will be weird.

Not at all even when I still drunk cola about 10 years or longer ago. While I haven't really noticed much of a difference between a cola with "zero sugar" and a normal one, I had usually preferred the "normal" classic variant. You're doing yourself a much better favor however if you completely stop drinking any soda or otherwise sweetened drinks with artificial flavorings at all.

Coke-type sodas are just straight up poison. I use them as a last resort source of caffeine only, when I know there's going to be no opportunity for a good coffee (trips).

Diet Coke is totally a scam. I don't believe in it at all.
