Ohara's story was shown well and the visuals were good. Looking forward to this short series.

What a treat! A nice little journey in the Paldea region, and it looks great. I do wish these miniseries were a bit longer so we could get more invested, but the good thing about keeping it short is that each episode is very polished. Kevin Penkin music is of course also wonderful.

I very much enjoyed this first episode. It was great, particularly the animation but I expect nothing less from wit looking forward to the rest of them despite the short length.

Music by Kevin Penkin, a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. WIT did a really good job again. I like the gnc characters, Hohma is a bit annoying imo and reminds me too much of Māmane/Sophocles from Sun & Moon. Hogator's noises are so cute. I hope Ohara's backstory with her parents and why she dropped the flute on the mountain are explained in other episodes. I don't like when shows just try to seem deep without actually delivering.
I think we'll get a little series for every new region from now on, well, ever since Galar. Technically we also got a Kanto series, I wish the other regions will get one too, eventually. This year is quite full of Pokémon animations though: Cubie Island, Horizons, Path to the Peak, Paldean Winds, and Concierge coming up. I mean, I'm here for it. Who knows, at this point even a PokeSpe adaptation isn't that far off. Alas, wishful thinking...

Better than the first episode of the previous Wit short, the runtime is longer too. Always love to see 2D background animation, once during Corv flying at the beginning and then the chasing scene towards the end.

Beautiful first episode, Hogator so adorable and a sweet little thing. Wish they put that much effort in the actual game though.

Ohara is basically Urara Haneyama from Cardfight Vaguard but more melodramatic. This had more realistic flute animation & audio unlike the meh attempt by Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress.

It's nice to see a kawaii instrumentalist but they "Jumped The Shark" from the get go with Ohara's extreme reaction 😑, imagine hiking up a snowy mountain to throw away an expensive flute because of anxiety 😑. Sure people actually do that nonsense IRL but using extreme illogic for conflict is lazy, even in kodomomuke.
