| I suspected they would end us on a cliffhanger but the way they did it was brutal. It's just annoying to waiting half a year to continue on the cliffhanger. This show had a vibe and I loved it. Science Saru cooked. Rating: 8.5/10 |

| I'm dead at the fact that someone earlier in this thread is crapping on Dandadan because it lacks substance or whatever 💀 like bro the entire first saga of the series (consisting of the first 165 chapters by the way) is about Okarun trying to get his testicles back. This is an extremely unserious series and that's where the charm lies, the fact that it embraces how silly it is and doesn't take itself seriously. I swear people love to be pretentious over Japanese cartoons instead of just enjoying something mindless and stupid from time to time lol. Anyway, I'm disappointed that this season wasn't 24 episodes so we could at least complete this arc instead of ending after just the first handful of chapters, but at least S2 is already confirmed and will be here before we know it. This was an amazing adaptation, Science Saru really did it justice and elevated the source material. I couldn't have asked for more. Can't wait to see what they cook up in season 2. |

| Now that the weakest chunk of the manga is out of the way, season 2 onward will be greatness after greatness! I'm not sure if I liked the cliffhanger for the end of the season, but at least we won't wait long till the continuation. |

| I refuse to call that a cliffhanger. They weren't even near that cliff, they just spotted it from a distance. Good thing Season 2 is coming, but that was cruel, just stopping mid-way like that. |
| Even Okarun had to admit, Jiji is quite the nice guy. I also liked how conscious he was of his own jealousy. Not that it helped much when it came to dealing with the emotion. Also watching tv in a haunted house is quite gutsy of Momo. Seems like an easy way for a ghost to scare you in my book. I can't wait for season 2!!! |

| So, the search for Okarun's ball is still ongoing because I thought they reached it in the previous episode. In addition, knowing that Jiji's house is haunted, they are determined to go there, but ironically it doesn't look easy. I'm sure the journey is still long and there are many mysteries that have not been revealed. A worrying way for them to end the episode and the end of this series.  |

| I imagine the night watchmen from the school would be pretty spooked on seeing the model escape night after night. Damm the hot springs town sure looked nice. JiJi though has way too much energy. One hell of a situation to end the season with. |

| Watching Jiji and Okarun sing the opening and ending themes of Slam Dunk was unexpected and fun. While Okarun may feel a little jealous of Jiji, he can't really hate him because Jiji shares his interests in the occult and has his charm despite being weird. They could genuinely become great friends, and even Momo knows that. Those scenes with the old men entering the hot springs are worrying though - they're likely to give certain artists a lot of work to do. This anime has been fantastic from start to finish - funny, weird, and full of lovable characters who all seem to share a single brain cell. It's sad to see it end, but I can't wait until July for season two! |

Is this really the finale of the season?
Like, it was a cool episode, but I was expecting something else from a finale. It could have ended on the scene when the model finally reaches his beloved one, it could have been very emotional and impactful. The second season would have started with the trip to Jiji's house, and it would have been very good, the first one ends with emotions and the seconds start with a new journey and new problems.
But for some reason it is strangely paced and ends on some anticlimactic moment. That's a shame cause this is what I will remember for months.

| @N_Erwann Yeah, I checked how much time I had left on the episode and was surprised to see there was like a minute. I wonder whether they didn't have time to make a 24 episode season, so they pretty much took an axe to the middle of it. Or they did it on purpose perhaps to boost the manga sales even more. I too enjoyed it but this makes little sense as a finale, more like a pause, there's nothing being concluded here. |

| I don't know how I feel about this season finale. On a hand next season will be begin with action already, on another hand felt too sudden. Like was planned with 13 episodes, but production forgot about the JP end of year TV schedule |

| That was a weird last episode, they started a new arc and just stopped with a cliffhanger xD Very random show with interesting characters, quite chaotic. Momo is a refreshing female MC though and Okarun is not your typical dense protagonist at the very least. Good thing that season 2 is already confirmed. 7/10 |
| wait is this actually a season end??? I thought would be ongoing!!! If this is end I'm downgrading to 9/10. I took a nice hot bath before this episode. Love hot baths. I don't like rape-theme though I BELIEVE IN YOU AYASE-SAN!!! Okarun was less annoying this time as he actually did stuff and childhood friend is funny too. Oh no, what room did they just unlock Q_Q |

| It's been a while since I've last watched a series that had a cliffhanger ending in its final episode, so I have slightly forgotten how painful it is to have it happen like this. Still, the episode itself was very good as it was enjoyable seeing Okarun, Momo and Jiji having fun together during their outing to the hot springs town which I swear I've seen in another anime in the past. Overall, I can see why this series was very hyped up. Not only does it match that hype, but I can also see why Science Saru is really well liked for an anime studio with how this series was animated with care and attention put into it. The result is something that always amazes me and has me excited to see where the story will go and how the animation pops off whenever it happens The wait for season 2 isn't that long, so when it returns in July next year, hopefully we'll get one step closer to sorting out the mystery of this place that is effecting our lovable trio. I look forward to it as always! =D |
| This didn't live up to the hype it got ^^' It's good, but that's kinda it. The characters are fine. I like Momo, Aira and Jiji so far. Ken/Okarun sadly didn't grow on me at all. Especially the last few episodes with his jealousy stick kinda made me like him less. He's definitely well written for what he's supposed to portray, but I can't bring myself to like him :x The comedy is also mostly a miss for me. The show is great when it gets serious and had some amazing fights, but the sexual jokes are overdone and weren't that funny to begin with (Aira and Jiji are have their funny moments though). And how many more times is Momo going to be assaulted? Did we really need another scene of her being attacked while being naked? I really like the way the yokai/cryptids are implemented though! Episode 7 was definitely the standout episode this season. The aliens have been kinda hit or miss (they pretty much go hand in hand with the comedy parts I don't like), but I liked the episode about the mantis shrimp alien. Overall 7/10, I'm excited to see if the second season will get better cause even though I did complain a bit, it's definitely one of the better shounen out there :) |
