"I don't want any of your friends in my house because they're not hispanic"

it's not my fault most hispanics at my school are sluts.

and in my family, all african americans are blacks, all caucasians are white, and all asian are chinese. this is why i alway ask what race are them first, unlike the many people that think I'm part arabian or part filipino.

"You should've never been born"

Are we living the same life? My parents aren't together and I live with my mom and grandparents, who tell me similar things.

Like a few months ago, someone left the water on in the bathroom sink (not me, but I was blamed for it) and we had this terrible water damage that destroyed like half the the downstairs hallway. My Opa, who likes to take out his stress on others, was yelling at me about the how expensive it was to fix the water damage and said "If you weren't alive, this would have never have happened"
Funny thing is, the insurance covered it all.

He was really unfair to you..at least they should ask first before starting to blame...

Yea, but it's like he doesn't listen to reason. I've tried to tell him countless times about not jumping to conclusions and other things. For example, a few years ago, my younger sister had a huge problem with drugs and alcohol (we later found out the reason why she did all this was because she had a severe case of bipolar so she used controlled substances to stop the voices in her head) and one night my Opa was just yelling at ear-splitting tones at her, calling her retarded and every possible insult you can imagine. And I stood up for her telling him that calling people names like idiot won't help them improve their intelligence, it'll only make them believe that they are an idiot. But, alas, no luck.

And after all, I live in his house. It's not like I can defy him without the major possibilty of me getting kicked out.

-lying gets you nowhere

-never cheat when doing work

-only people with crisp generic pop voices make good music

-the future of every girl in the world = stay at home mom

-every guy in the world is better than every girl in the world at tennis (this was the lecture given after i lost to a girl at tennis, go figure)

-medical/law schools are the only future, every other path is failure.

My parents only say stupid things when they're incredibly mad, which is kind of a good thing.

Here's one example I can think of:

"You only got 85% in gr. 10 English? we're so disappointed, we know you could've gotten 95% easily."

I cried. :(

Otherwise, we used to have quite a bit of disagreements about my relationship with my then boyfriend. According to my mother, it was a sexual craze and I was totally insane for being devoted at a young age. According to my father, I was to ever have sex, no matter how prepared I was for it, I would instantly get pregnant, drop out of school and become white trash. No exceptions, not even for birth control or the fact that we'd been dating for a substantial amount of time.

Luckily, bf and I are married, my life is on a good path and my parents took back everything bad they ever said and everyone is on good terms, yay.

And concerning global warming, my dad believes it's all a lie. And at the same time, he practices green habits, (buying new windows and not driving a gas guzzler, etc.) because it saves money and that's a good thing. :)

I am the senpai that notices you.

Same here. Friend of mine is Wiccan and mum tried to get me to never speak to him again because he was evil. Or something.
She also doesn't want me hanging out with gay/lesbian/bisexual people because "they all do drugs". Where she got that one, I have no idea. All the druggies I hang out with are straight, ironically.
Grandmother thinks I'm a satanist because I listen to metal, dress primarily in black and have friends that dress primarily in black.

Thankfully my father hasn't said anything that ignorant.

Mom's always been a bit paranoid when it comes to the internet. She's so worried that I'm going to sign up on a site (especially MySpace & Facebook warning me that she "better never find me on MySpace." I'm guessing if she does I'm permanently banned from ever using a computer again.) and tell them things about me and then they will magically find out where I live and kill me or something.

My dad thinks piercings are wrong because you're mutilating your body.

Not really something they said, but their attitude toward black people and Hispanics really tick me off.

My mom told me to be careful when I became friends with my neighbor who is a guy because she was afraid he would try to talk me into having sex with him. Funny enough, he's actually gay. So now worries there, I guess.

My mom told me Spirited Away was bad because Haku was chanting a spell to free Chihiro's legs, but then she read the entire Harry Potter series and liked it. A bit hypocritical if you ask me.

What's wrong with that? I think they're not pretty either, and technically, it does apply to the definition of mutilation.

This is something that could actually happen on the wrong sites. If you look at the history of /b/, there have been quite some people that get pranked every single day in real life because they figured out where he or she happens to live. It's scary, really.

I like those make-up that does not look like you have make-ups on, though. Sounds contradictory but what I really mean is to give the look of being natural. And even if natural is such a vague arbitrary word, an example would be putting some make-up that looks like what they normally look like, except without the effect of having crammed a night to like 4AM. Or I guess, when suddenly those acnes start coming out, when they didn't have them for years. Though I'm not sure if they even count as "make-ups". And I certainly wouldn't want some girl having black-colored nails suddenly. I mean, that ain't natural by far.

My grandmother once was criticizing my uncle's wife because she got pregnant before they get married (for her that wasn't her son's responsability too). Then she said:"Your mother didn't do such things". And I:"What are you saying? Mom and dad get married in September and me and my twin sister were born in December of the same year. Of course she was pregnant before the wedding!" And she answered: "No, that's because you were born two months premature". Well, I guess she isn't very good in math. Anyway, my parents never made it a secret that they were waiting us before they get married.

My other grandmother:
Me: I like my younger brother's girlfriend. She's so cute, isn't she? She's a little shy.
Grandma: She's not so shy, she gets on his car.

When my brother started to wear an ear ring, wich was very popular for teenagers back then, my grandfather got mad and said that "only prisoners and faggots wear it".

My mother a few days ago: "I'm worried because these days I've been so busy that I couldn't find the time to bring new flowers to your father's grave".
Me: "It's not a problem, you just couldn't. Stop worrying about what people might say".
She: "It's not for the people, it's for him. Poor him, what if someone passes and sees that there aren't new flowers?"

Personally I think women who wear a LOT of make up all the time are screwing themselves over. I only wear make up on special occasions where I want to look nice, so since I never really wear it all of a sudden I look like a goddess. If you wear it all the time you're dulling that effect. (Also personally it's a pain to put it on everyday)

Now. Recently my dad was telling me:
"You're my favorite kid, you know that right? Also your sister misses you. You know you two are connected by the bonds of sisterhood, so you'll always be best friends."

This would kind of be fine if I had seen my dad at all in the past three years. xD So he just sent me this out of nowhere and I was like, "What is this crap?" Also my sister is around five right now, and I assure you she has no clue who the heck I am. I think she has an idea, but in her mind I'm probably more of some imaginary figure. Like Santa since I send her presents at Christmas. I met her once when she was two, so now when I'm forced to talk on the phone with her we're like, "Umm" until I can get her on some rant about Dora the Explorer and she forgets she's talking to a stranger.

Am reminded of this picture:

Moral of the story - If you can tell you're wearing make up, you're wearing too much make up. Pretty much the only make up I wear is brown/nude eyeshadow and either black or brown eyeliner. I wouldn't touch foundation with a 10 and a half foot poll.

My grandma once went on about all the gays were going to hell and if I was gay she would disown me. This is the same Grandma I have hardly every seen in my life but she bothered to call me up to just to blab about that. I kinda wanted to tell her I was gay just to so she would never talk to me again. But alas I am not ready to come out of the closet until I move away from my parents.

I went to a community college first after high school. When I showed my parents around they asked me in a round about way if the people that went there were mentally retarded. Apparently they thought mentally retarded people went to college at community colleges and normal people went to Ivy League schools. Colleges in between didn't exist!

My mother again...

"I like black children, sometimes I feel like adopting one. They look like little monkys, then we could give them our spare bananas"

I'm not sure if she was serious or not. I'm never sure. But it's amusing nonenthless.

As for her racist remarks, may I quote her again:

"I am racist. In fact, I am very racist. I have nothing against black people, but I like to be racist because racist jokes are fun"

Both of my parents are difficult to talk to and have made a couple idiotic comments in the past, but my dad is the worse. I remember about a week ago, I decided to write about a homosexual couple for my english creative writing coursework, and my dad didn't agree.. -.-

Dad: "Why are you going to write about gay people?"
Me: " Why not? Homosexual couple's are acceptable and consist of two human beings just like heterosexual couples, and I know everyone esle in my english class will write about a heterosexual couple. Im not going to conform to everyone esle narrow, prejudice demands."
Dad: " Yeah, but all the other people in your class will laugh at you."
Me: "And?"
Dad: "Why can't you just be normal and write about straight people"
Me: "Why are you so homophobia?"
Dad: "Im not homophobia! I just don't think a young girl should write about two men and I wouldn't care if you became a lesbian and got a girlfriend or whatever."

(The bold writing represent my dad's terrible lying)

After that conversation, I left the room and dicide to never inform him of any information regarding my life, because I didn't want his biased criticism.
